    I picked up a set of series 23 today myself. Don't sleep on the reindeer, she's got some great plumes.

    I'd like to think it means that castle collectors are smart enough to buy from TLG directly instead of scalpers on bricklink.

    The speculation I've seen is it's because it's a real world military symbol and TLG doesn't want to depict those in (unlicensed) lego sets nowadays.

    Agreed. I'd also love a wave of CMFs that's entirely castle themed, with a mix of peasants and soldiers for classic factions.

    The horned helmet in 60332 works really well if you want to make a knight with some extra plumage.

    Personally I'd rather wait until PaB adds them, the prices they want for lion knights on bricklink right now is way too high for my taste.

    The minifigures in that set are terrible, I'll stick with my 10305.

But I'm still skeptical and will believe it when I see it. The viking village sounds great though, I can't wait to see the final set!

    Couldn't care less about old grey but I'd pay a lot of money to get bullet helms in dark bley, light bley, metallic silver and pearl dark grey.

    Did the ramp mod posted a couple pages ago, it looks pretty good! However I'd recommend leaving off the macaroni bricks at the base of the ramp because the back one locks the whole castle together and prevents you from accessing the Forestmen hideout. I also converted the little corner storage room into meat/cheese storage:

    Medieval Market Village didn't have goats, that was Mill Village Raid. An MMV remake would be cool but I'd be just as happy with another set in the same style to expand mine.

    Personally I don't think we'll be seeing another castle set again for a while. Maybe a smaller Creator 3in1 set that's a catapult or something but that's it.

    Managed to get lucky and snagged a used listing on Bricklink for $40 CAD shipped. Time will tell if it's actually complete or not but fingers crossed!

    Finished building it today, what a wonderful set. Well worth the money I paid for it in my opinion. Don't know if I was just lucky but I ended up with 3 extra red small plumes:

    Yeah, I really regret not getting the drawbridge set that had the metallic gold visor but ah well, I'll just give her a metallic silver one. Or buy a bootleg one and see if it looks any better than the pearl gold one

    Yeah, I noticed that when I was finishing the first book, it doesn't really line up enough for my taste but it shouldn't be too hard to relocate the chimney to be more in line with the fireplaces.
