  1. Suddenly Eric's sight blurred. The Pongcanis Leader beat his chest hard and roared loud. Somehow it had an awkward effect on the Nord Raider. Visions of dark demons, gnarly beasts and gruesome scenes clouded his sight, spurred on by the might war cry of Eric's hairy opponent. A pearl of sweat formed on the Raider's forehead, fed by his inner fear. He was quick to wipe it off and took a few steps back. All the drink coupled with the beast's warcry must've made him hallucinate. Eric remained at the back and whipped out his Silverfish wings. Despite the hallucinations, he was determined to bring this fight to a good end. Eric attacks Pongcanis Leader from the back row, using Diseased Silverfish Wings.
  2. Eric singles out the Pongcanis leader and lunges forward, ready to strike. Eric will attack the Pongcanis Leader from the front row, using Godricsleif. I should be encouraged since I drank a Mead just before the battle commenced.
  3. "I don't have an account and I don't really need one. From what I'm seeing, my money's safer with me than with this bank." Eric downed another of his Meads and try to keep focussed. Judging from the scene and atmoshpere, the situation was hot and might be in need of some brutal defusion. The Nord stood tall, ready for battle if the need arose.
  4. Eric strolled in the wake of Namyrra and Tesni. As they led the way, he took his time to take in his surroundings, to size up some of the folks wandering around here. He kept his eyes open for anyone intriguing, anyone who looked as if they might have a job ready for him. After all, that's what the man back in the tavern had told him. Kelram has jobs, if you're one of those people who don't mind getting their hands all dirty for a good pay. The Nord overheard the females talking of the Kelram bank and how Tesni wished to collect some loot from the building. The conversation brought back memories of the old days. Back when Eric still lived way up North, with his people, his clan. The Nord wasn't a day over sixteen when he went on his first nautical raid. Together with his father and some weapon-men from the village, they had sailed South in search of treasure. Which they found, eventually, in ample quantities. It was a good raid and many weaklings were slain to satisfy the hunger of the gods. Villages were sacked and plundered, they even robbed a bank. Eric smiled as the thought crossed his mind. But then reality struck him hard again, like taking a hammerblow to the face. Now, he was even souther than South, a long way from home. No chance in hell, they'd be able to rob Kelram Bank. "If we're done visiting the bank, let's go see the General Store next okay?" he said. Eric then took out a bottle of liquor and took a big swig. The daze kept his mind dull. He was satisfied.
  5. Doc, I've always loved seeing your photos and I'm glad to see you sharing some of your Photoshop knowledge with us! I'm sure this'll come in handy sooner or later. Thank you very much for sharing .
  6. "I can use the Warhammer and Mace," Eric spoke "but I don't want either." He took the weapons in his hands and investigated them thoroughly, giving both a few swings. "Nah, they're not my style. Too brutal, too brainless. There's no finesse nor art in wielding any of these weapons. I'd pick a trusted blade above these any day." He handed the warhammer to Tesni. "Here, you can have it if you want." I don't really feel like I need anything of the loot. It wouldn't be really fair, since I barely participated in the battle .
  7. Eric eyed the tall guy and prepared to charge, Godricsleif in hand. "Let's out find out how tough you really are!" Eric attacks the Tough Guy from the front row, using Godricsleif (twice) There should also be an Amethyst in my inventory .
  8. Eric's eyes widened as he noticed the broken bottle of mead and its delicious contents spilled on the floor. He threw an angry look at the assailants and gritted his teeth. He uncorked one of his own Mead bottles and chugged down its contents, together with some Smelling Salts. The giant Nord warrior swung Godricsleif around and roared Norse curses at his enemies. Even though none of the thieves could make it what they meant, it was clear Eric meant business. Eric takes Mead and Smelling Salts.
  9. Eric the Nord scanned the room as he stepped in. "Looks good enough for me" he muttered. "I hope no-one comes knocking on our door tonight. I hate to be disturbed in my sleep." he said as a grin formed on his face. He sat on one of the lower beds and placed his trusted sword Godricsleif next to him. Cold icy fogs were being emitted from the blade. It almost seemed as if the blade craved for a nightly encounter. Which is silly, of course, for swords are not sentient. "I can't wait to get Kelram. I wonder what the woman meant with 'the right talents for the job' " Eric pondered as he stared in the distance. I should also have an Amethyst in my inventory
  10. Eric eyed the white-haired man suspiciously as he passed by his table. Then he noticed Tesni and Namyrra had taken a seat at his table and turned his attention to them. "Did you find what we came for?" he asked while taking another sip of his beer.
  11. As soon as the party had entered the pub, Eric headed directly towards the bar. Unlike his companion Namyrra, he didn't pose any questions and ordered some beer and a dish of food. Ha remained at the bar as his questmates went upstairs with some white-haired guy. If there'd be any problem he was sure he'd hear it. Eric received his food and drink. Still no sign of danger. He licked his lips and started to eat. The food was bad and the beer was stale, but it was better than questing on an empty stomach all the time. He hoped his party members would find something interesting in the meantime. Sorry for my absence guys. I was at a music festival with no internet connection the last few days. But now I'm back .
  12. Wow, that Swashbuckler class looks awesome. I'd totally play as one if it were possible. Great job, WBD!
  13. Eric twirled a gold coin between his fingers. He grinned "I just keep on getting better and better at this". He then pocketed the coin, along with the many others he had gained. The Raider jealousely eyed the Bone Claws as Tesni out them on. His face turned somewhat sour. He was mesmerized by the weapons, but his fascination quickly grinded to a halt as Namyrra called out to him. She offered him the Amethyst as his cut of the loot. Begrudgingly, the Nord accepted. He glanced back at the claws and then forced his gaze upon the amethyst again. "Stupid shiny rock..." he muttered. It was a powerful weapon, no doubt about it. He had heard stories about its effectiveness in battle. Eric had even heard more discerning stories, tales or maybe they were just rumours about the gem's corrupting nature. Sometimes, it seemed to bring up the worst in battle. Eric, however, didn't seem to notice any changes or effects taking place. Maybe his heart was just too embittered already. "At least it'll fetch a nice price if I can't find any use for it..."
  14. Eric eyed the Wolfboy's claws. He grinned and shouted "I'll rip those claws right out of your stinking paws, rabbid dog!" Eric attacks Wolfboy from the front row, using Godricsleif.
  15. Slowly Erics gets up, wobbling and rubbing his eyes. Noticing the enemies, he grabs a bottle of mead and chugs it down. He gripped his hand around Godricsleif and gritted his teeth. With a fiery look in his eyes, he prepared for the coming clash. "Bring it ..."
  16. Yay! I now got mentioned twice in the Heroica Theatre . As CallMePie said, though, Eric wasn't really interested in the Lizardwoman per se, he just wanted to get as much free stuff as possible. He noticed Freeda's flirtuous behaviour and saw it as a weakness he could use to his advantage. Indeed, the free Mead was what I wanted to get mostly. The roleplaying part was just an added extra. It shows how Eric believes in the 'the end justifies the means'-motto. He'll go that extra mile to gain something he wants. He's got no qualms or issues with manipulating people or using them to his advantage. Other than that, he's a nice guy really .
  17. I understand that his "race" is not an issue game-wise, since every hero is treated in the same say. I was merely looking for an explanation story-wise, but LEGOman273 already pointed out the character uses a hat and big cloak to shield him from the sun . I absolutely have no problem with having a vampire hero, I thinks it's rather cool .
  18. Okay, thanks. I hadn't seen the post where he explained that, but I've found it now .
  19. So uh, how will the Vampire go on a Quest? After all, they do tend to incinerate when coming in contact with sunlight, right?
  20. "But of course, my dear" Eric said in a hushed tone. He then took out his coin purse and paid the seller 120 gold. "A pleasure doing business with you, Freeda" Eric winked at the Lizardwoman and turned around, his back towards the seller. He had a hard time subdueing his grin as he left. 333 - 120 = 213
  21. Eric leaned against Freeda's shack, crossing his arms across his chest. Craftily he put on his best seductive smile and replied: "I can say I have an eye for all thins exquisite and fine, and I must say your shiny and scaly skin have not escaped my gaze. The green hue of your scales matches your benign eyes perfectly" He chuckled softly and moved in a bit closer. "I'm kind of thirsty and longing for some of that great ale. I'm willing to take ten bottles of your sweet hands. I'm sure a fine damsel as you can give me three bottles for free?" Eric let his hand slide through his blond hair as he finished the last part of his sentence. He put on his best smile once more and waited Freeda's reply.
  22. Eric drank the rest of his rum as the Lizardwoman adressed him. "Aye, that I am!" he acknowledged her statement. "I see you stock fine quality Mead. Can I get a bulk discount, say 2 coins per bottle I buy?"
  23. The verse is good, very foreboding up until that last sentence. 'Jas' means 'coat' in Dutch, so when I read 'Jas will rise', I can't help but imagine a flying coat . Other than, it looks awesome though, can't wait to see this unfold.
  24. Yay for drunk Vikings in Sandy's Quest! Too bad they'll get their megablocks handed to them though . Stupid Guts for not sharing some Mead with these highly likeable fellows . Also, great job on the entire theater topic, Flipz. It's a great way to teach people a bit about good roleplaying in a very fun and entertaining manner. I really like the inclusion of existing characters and the whole theater context is just great. I would've never thought of explaining roleplaying in such a way .
  25. "Oh boo-hoo-hoo ... Here's 50 gold for five of those Potions. I'll do you a favor and buy another portion of Smelling Salts at your overrated costs" the Raider said and tossed the salesman 90 gold coins in total. He yanked the goods out of the merchants hands and decided to check out the Lizardman's stand. Eric took a big swig of rum out of a bottle he had brought from the pirate ship and pocketed his newly bought items. 423-90 = 333
