  1. This is very good. The staff on your normal riddler, and his hat, are really good. I'd say hat number 1 again for your 'Nolan style' Riddler, it's the most realistic. The torso used on the 'Nolan style' Riddler really works, and the concept gives me an idea... :skull:
  2. It's sad when things like that happen, but at least you got your bike back and made a new figure. The Lego Company only partly owns Legoland nowadays, the rest is owned by Merlin Entertainments. TLC had to sell them on when they were having a money crisis a few years ago. Sadly Legoland isn't quite a Legolike as it used to be, but it's still Legoland. :skull:
  3. Judging by your comments, maybe I will get the set, though probably when it's in a sale. :skull:
  4. No... It's the new Clone Wars sets are out (in UK) and a free poster comes with them at Argos... My opinion on actually getting the sets is that they're a bit too big and expensive for me, I just want the figures! :skull:
  5. I expect it looked much like this then? My first Lego was probably Duplo, when I was too young even for Duplo probably. I didn't have much Duplo, and I soon moved on to Freestyle sets and parts from my dad's Lego collection. Both of my parents like Lego, so I guess that's why they bought it for me. I just enjoyed making things out of it. I've never had a Lego 'dark age' as such, and probably never will, although I have had Lego Star Wars and Bionicle dark ages, strange as it may seem. I don't think I'll be out of my current Bionicle dark age, as the theme has slowly become more boring since about 2004. :skull:
  6. Yesterday I bought the Agents Jetpack Pursuit set, and the Indiana Jones one with the crocodile. I haven't looked at the Indy set yet, but I made the Agents set this morning while watching Smallville. It's a great assortment of parts. I am debating with myself whether to get this set. The truck looks a bit bulky for my liking, I just want the Harley figure! :skull:
  7. Hehe, if I tried to portray myself in a minifig there isn't a hairpiece that's suitable (except maybe Exo-Force, in the wrong colour though). My SigFig is the little guy in my avatar, who doesn't look so much like me - He's a dwarf, I'm tall; he has very dark hair, I have very light hair. The Lego person that looks vaguely like me would be my MLN representation on my EB profile. :skull:
  8. Fueling ice cream guns for one thing. (MOC advertisement hehe...) I think a lot of things can be done with more than one of those thingies (I don't know what to call them ). :skull:
  9. Well, I'm English and my accent's closer to an Australian accent although I don't know anyone Australian... Weird... I look forward to your next installment anyway, to see how it goes. :skull:
  10. I wouldn't think of 2 years ago as 'old' hehe. Anyway, the same general bag design has been used at Legoland Windsor from 1996, when it opened, (Billund may have used it before then) to present day, and Lego Pirates were around in '96. :skull:
  11. Even with the Duplo and 4+ Pirate sets, TLC didn't include any particular fantasy elements so I doubt they would in a proper Pirate line. Yeah, I think Pirates vs Ninjas is a jokey thing, TLC would never do that. :skull:
  12. I don't think I've commented on this since your first or second chapter, but I am really liking this comic. This chapter was funny as usual, and the photography is even better than before! I'm looking forward to the next installment! :skull:
  13. That's pretty cool! Why are the yellow thingies 'piss-takingly annoying' though? :skull:
  14. Ok, sorry. I was just a little offended at the stereotypical English way of talking he has, but meh. :skull:
  15. Hehe, I got it yesterday and built it earlier, it's a very good and stable set. I love the character designs too! :skull:
  16. Interesting 'vignettes' but it doesn't really have a story, and is kinda racist. :skull:
  17. That's what I meant, then I got the song in my head. Ahh, that makes sense... I understand that some slope pieces can be matte anyway, but that may not be the case with what you're saying. :skull:
  18. Yesterday I saw Mamma Mia! at the cinema, with my 'mamma'. It's my new favourite film! I love ABBA music anyway, so the songs I liked. The singing was very good (except Pierce Brosnan ), and Meryl Streep singing sounded very similar to the ladies of ABBA. The storyline was great, and I loved the humour... Julie Walters was very funny and the Dancing Queen scene was amusing. Best of all, I didn't get bored at any time in the film! I love it! I'm going to see The Dark Knight at some point, as I'm a Batfan, though I don't think it could top Mamma Mia! :skull:
  19. The new vignettey thingy is nice. It's sad that there are so many variations of just one colour! Yeah... How can there be different shades of black?! :skull:
  20. It's been fairly rainy recently so it's quite a change. The rain was very heavy and I don't like that, I like a little rain, a little warm, and a little cold. Everything in moderation. I don't like the sun as a weather factor though... Too bright. Saying what I did today would be... Complaining about the heat all the time. :skull:
  21. I never understand how so many people like hot weather. It's really hot down here in Hampshire (something like 30 degrees celcius!) and I hate it! Not as bad as in Switzerland one day last year when I went to Luzern and it was about 35 degrees, that was the worst and most unbearable weather I've ever been in! I'm just thankful that I've broken up for the summer holidays today. Staying at home is certainly cooler (with the help of a fan) than sitting in a stuffy classroom. :skull:
  22. This is great! I was going to comment on it before but it wasn't completed then, and I wanted to see that. The finished fig looks really good, there is a slight gap between the sides of the head but I guess that can't be helped. Nice burning too! I haven't seen the film yet as it isn't out in the UK until tomorrow but I have seen pictures and this is a lot like them, well done! :skull:
  23. Ohhhh... What I have seen of the Sarah Jane Adventures was like (new) Doctor Who, but much, much sillier, so I didn't really like it. Maybe with the Brigadier and Sontarans it would be interesting! :skull:
  24. What exactly are you talking about? :skull:
  25. If they think it's stupid, ask them why. Then keep contradicting their argument until they get bored. That usually works with me if someone says something bad. Fortunately for me, all my friends are fine with my Lego liking. One of my best friends is quite a big fan of Lego (no so much as me maybe...) and one or two other friends like their Lego. The rest of my friends don't really give a damn, my girlfriend for some reason always remembers my (minifg sized) Belville fairies... :skull:
