  1. The time I was at a Lego store and got some of these figs, I gave them all dwarf/ewok legs because there were lots of them, and I like them. Also I gave all my figures Rock Raider's Sparks' torso, I don't know why that was there 7 years after Rock Raiders ended, but it's great anyway. I can't remember what I gave the people above their shoulders, apart from a grey ponytail (!) which I somehow ended up not having once the figs were in the bag. Also at Legoland earlier this year there were something like 3 figs for 1 pound, better than the 5 figs for 3 pounds in the Lego store. The pieces available weren't that impressive or varying, but I got some female faces and some shirt torsos, so OK. :skull:
  2. You don't get Mars Mission or Aqua Raiders in Italy? I feel sorry for you, because we can get them in other European countries like England and Switzerland (the two I know of) but you can't in Italy, which is relatively near Switzerland? Or am I misinterpreting what you said? :skull:
  3. I have heard of them, but not their music. Thanks for the links anyway, I'll check them out tomorrow (not at the moment because the night is late). I might like all of them, I like harder, medium and calmer music. I am a being of varied taste, if I made a poll on Eurobricks (or on any site) with some bands I like I don't think anyone else would like all of them! Hehe. :skull:
  4. I finally saw The Dark Knight, yesterday evening/night with my girlfriend. My first time, her third time. I will definately see it at the cinema again. While Batman Begins was good, it was a little slow, but The Dark Knight was not slow and was simply brilliant, now among my favourite films. It lives up to and exceeds all the hype about it, a great film. The late Heath Ledger's Joker was a very different character from the proper Joker, but he was very funny and very evil! The part with him as a nurse was hilarious! Two-Face was also brilliant, his origins and all that. He looked exactly like in the comics, unlike the previous movie Two-Face. I don't usually like action movies or violence, but this movie was so character driven that just got me hooked, I love stories that are completely about their characters! A brilliant film it was. "Whysoseriousson?" :skull:
  5. Interesting choice for a topic, but I voted. I listen to Evanescence a lot, one of my favourite bands. Lovely music. I've heard 2 or 3 Linkin Park songs, Numb is good, but never heard Disturbed. I'd say you have good taste in music though, but I like so many types I could say that to a lot of people. :skull:
  6. Oh no! This is a nice creation LuxorV, very clever how you did the stuffing with the flowers. :skull:
  7. Ha, strange, but it depends what TLC have spare at that time I suppose. A very good assortment of pieces, but one could only use a very small amount of the faces. I also want to know how I can get a box of random minifig parts! :skull:
  8. The Power Miners look strange but interesting, I'd like to see clearer pictures before I can say what I think of them. They look ok, crazy colours I don't mind (I have weird design sense), but I'll have to see how Technicy they are, System and Technic together are awkward too me (why I wasn't amazed with, but still liked, Exo-Force). I know you're not so good at English as others on EB, but your English translations have a certain charm to them. I just thought this sounded funny, in English, no offense though. :skull:
  9. Hmm, a strange topic, unfortunately I can't think of any better ideas for pie related Agents things. Actually the thing I read in this topic that I thought was funniest was this: Hahaha! :skull:
  10. Sad that a whole massive place can't get this great set just because ti doesn't have a label on, which TLC could and should already just put on. But, funny to see all this moaning (I am on your side though) when in Europe we miss out on loads of things, crazy considering TLC is a European comany. In my country I know we can, and others I think, but not in any shops, only time I ever saw Batman sets in shops was ina certain one that gets products cheap from other countries (where I got all my Batman sets) and the Batcave in Legoland Windsor (which I bought). No Avatar or SpongeBob sets for this country either, SpongeBob is on UK S@H but Avatar wasn't. :skull:
  11. Ooh, more new Pirate sets! They all look really good, I mgith buy the soldier guy Impulse but not in bulk because I prefer the pirates to them, the pirates always have more character. Haha, distorted pictures it seems. I haven't read about the advent calendar properly yet, but I seriously doubt that a theme as big as this will not be sold in the US. As for what you said about the firing cannons, do you know that the Dino Attack (Dino 2010 in Europe) sets were sold in Europe without the guns? If you mean about the dangers of being hit by a puny little brick, you still get the Technic launchers in America, don't you? I would think they're more dangerous. :skull:
  12. While I have a feeling Power Miners won't be any more Steampunk than Mars Mission, Steampunk's not exactly too violent or too extreme, it would probably be fine, and better, if Power Miners are Steampunk. :skull:
  13. Pirates and sea travel are in most histories and cultures! It irriates me sometimes when Americans say they only have things, although things are not so different in other places... On this matter, I would think Pirates and Power Miners are both coming out next year, maybe at different times, but that list certainly doesn't mention all sets does it? :skull:
  14. I do believe I have not posted in this topic yet. I think this sounds interesting, we will know more when there are pictures though. Just keep in mind, it does sound like the really great theme of Rock Raiders, but it is set on the planet Earth, whereas Rock Raiders was most definately not. :skull:
  15. Wow, I can see how different the time zones are in America and England - It's only 12:00pm here, and you posted that you've finished today's school hours ago! Same with me. The younger years start today at mine, but my year go in tomorrow. Fortunately my lessons for tomorrow and Friday are pretty good ones, 3 periods of fun Media Studies with my girlfriend, 4 periods of interesting Science with my good Lego fan friend Jack, then a few other lessons which shouldn't be too bad. Education can be boring, but I am excited to see all my friends again, I haven't seen them very much at all in the holdiays, due to out travels at different times. :skull:
  16. Contest? What contest? :skull:
  17. I say, always keep some spare cash ready! You never know when some good Lego thing might appear in a shop near you. Hmm, I usually get Lego sets and games a while after they've been released so I'll know once they're out, I still haven't got Lego Indy yet (will do soon - my friend got it, keeps telling me interesting stuff). :skull:
  18. Sounds interesting anyway... I just realised, I haven't yet commented on the news. I think these pirate sets are great, true to the older theme but with newer pieces, some we don't have yet. Really good looking sets, with mermaid too! :skull:
  19. Nope, they are all compounds that are used in the making of plastic. I meant, "how can there be different types of ABS"? Maybe there can, but hmm... I'm confused now. :skull:
  20. Sorry that I'm speechless... I'd say the only flaw is the strangely placed baseplates, but other than that, this is flawless! The buildiing especially is a great construction, and the figures are very cool! I agree. If and when TLC do more Wild West sets, you should be designing them. :skull:
  21. Where did you get that info from? Do you know it to be true? :skull:
  22. ABS and the stuff they used for Exo Force hair, and the stuff they used on the bendy Exo Force pieces are the only types of plastic they used for purple... Aren't they? Or is ABS not one type of plastic? :skull:
  23. Wow. A lot of SNOT, a lot of detail. I like it a lot, the crabs and birds are ingenious! What's the creature on the rock meant to be though? :skull:
  24. The thing is, I've never had a problem with the strength of any of my 'large' amount of purple pieces. I would actually say they're sturdier than some other colours. Sure, the pieces in [my] Knight Bus had some small inconsistencies in colour, but that was the only time I've had slightly awkward purple bricks. Also, I've never had experience of these pieces fading, even when I leave them out by the window a lot. Of course, this is my experience, but I have lots of sets that contain purple pieces, from nearby, from S@H and from another country, the Netherlands... Maybe I'm lucky, maybe TLC were just inspeecting a faulty batch of purple bricks. :skull:
  25. Thanks for the review, nice to see more little sets reviewed. I voted the set Above Average, it is really good for its size. I'm not sure if I actually have this set or not, I definately have an astronaut like that though, maybe from another set. Also, I don't think it's Staudie playing dress-up, but the Astro playing dress-up as Stauder! Definately, this theme was under Town so it was meant to be based on real space travel rather than science fiction. :skull:
