I haven't seen Oblivion but I'm a huge fan of soundtracks. I gave your video a watch and liked it quite a bit. What other soundtracks do you like? Also, to every fan of the upcoming LEGO movie...

I finalized a stand for my Sith Fury-class Interceptor last night, and I'll be fixing one up tonight for the Jedi Defender-class Cruiser I'd like to own. I'll probably even make a post in the SW forums to show it off!

I recently bought half of the BIONICLE graphic novels (1-4) available on Comixology. It's very nostalgic.

My friend and I occasionally tease one another about our respective LEGO and anime hobbies, but no harm done. It's usually LEGO versus Naruto, so he's all about target audiences and I'm all about the english voices.

@happymark, DaleDVM and Col. Brick, thanks for your help. I'm sorry to say that I can't make it this year as expected, but with any luck I'll get to meet you all next year. Maybe it's a good thing, because then I can get to know the online community first. @ZCerberus, congratulations!

Me and my family are planning to visit during the last public day (Sunday the 16th). This is our first one, so I was wondering if someone could help me out: how long do people usually stay there, and are there any special events on the Sunday?

Thanks for the review Rufus. This is a fantastic set IMO, despite the cockpit stickers and other shortcomings. I went to the LEGO store a few weeks back and they had this ship propped up on its side for display instead of on its stand, which actually looked pretty nice.

Sounds creepy, yeah. Haven't played Slender myself but I've seen videos, and if the play sounds anything like Slender... Best of luck with it though, I think it sounds quite interesting.

I haven't been reading comics very much lately, but I'm planning to pick up the entire Gears of War series soon for my phone. I really like the idea of digital books and comics.

I've volunteered for a local theatre company for about two years now, on and off. My school also had a trip to Stratford, Ontario where we saw Pirates of Penzance and the Matchmaker last May. That sounds amazing! Makes me wish I lived in California. What sort of games are referenced, and is there any music used from actual games? Or is this more a look at gamer culture?

Nice MOC! I love the scene but those minifigures and their accessories are just too cool. I can't even pick a favourite!

I really want a Black Pearl to go with my Queen Anne's Revenge, because I'm looking for something still available and affordable, not to mention a good ship overall with some fantastic pieces and figures. I really like the figurehead as well, and the whole gothic look it's got about it. Outside of reality, I wouldn't mind having a Caribbean Clipper or Imperial Flagship (2010).

Oh, poor you. Sounds like an awesome house despite the sacrifices! Best of luck with that. I also would have withdrawal from LEGO were it not for Eurobricks and Brickset. My personal strategy is to buy cheap while spacing it out. If there's a long period of time where I'll be without LEGO, I'll buy a Collectible Minifig, or maybe a smaller set for the pieces every once in a while.

I'm taking a fifth year in high school, so I'm not headed for College/University for another year. As I need to limit my money and space, however, I've already made some plans. I'm limiting myself to one big set a year, of any price, that I'll keep built together. This can be anything from a medium-large set like the Batcave to the $500 Super Star Destroyer. The rest stays cheap, but generally goes in my parts collection for MOC'ing. Great topic, by the way. There are quite a few newer members going somewhere this fall.

Oh, Freeze without a doubt. I've got an urge to pick up the Batcave (Bane and Poison Ivy), so I can have the three villains from Batman and Robin. I'd love to make a parody Brickfilm. I didn't really care for most of the Marvel figures, so I picked Venom. The black piraka spines really work. J. Jonah Jameson would be a close second favourite.

Interesting, I didn't know about the Historical fig mermaids, and I had forgotten about the Sea King. Not a huge fan of the others. I've only collected the POTC sets (not classic pirates), so all I have are Syrena and the blonde mermaid. Still, they're actually my favourite minifigures I currently own, because they're so detailed (double-sided heads and shiny scales) and unique. Besides, there's a certain monster-movie appeal to mermaids that eat people.

I really like your ship, but those wings deserve their own separate comment. The idea of using garage door panels really works, especially with the transparent light blue. They could be anything, from solar panels to a force field, holding the wing-tip to the ship. Kudos for the creativity!

The Eurobricks Collaborative Pirate build at Brickworld Chicago
4WD replied to Big Cam's topic in LEGO Pirates
Really awesome. I honestly like the lighthouse the best. The way the rocks swell up underneath, the landed rowboat and the round structure really caught my eye. Too bad I couldn't be there to see it (and the whole display) in person. -
Mermaids. No joke. As much as I like Classic Pirates, I really love the POTC theme. And the mermaids in that are, in my opinion, near perfect. Otherwise, I'd vote Islanders (other).

What date (time period) do you set your pirates in?
4WD replied to Captainmorgan's topic in LEGO Pirates
I just set them around the "Pirate Era"... a wide range in which Pirates fought Islanders and Imperials. Nothing wrong with romanticizing murderous pirates! -
Same here. I'd give that an 8/10 coming from someone with little experience with Ridley Scott sci-fi. I didn't find it scary, but the world they created was unbelievable. Some strong performances too.

I know a ton of people have commented on the box of last year's Naboo Starfighter in their reviews. Lots of explosions, missiles, action, lasers... it's like Michael Bay designed it.

Where's the BLUE?
4WD replied to gmshades's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'd love to see more blue, especially in a Super Car! I just hope LEGO doesn't read our wishes as "more blue pins" instead. -
That's insanely cool. First thing that came to mind for me was Kronos from Wrath of the Titans.
