  1. Erik followed after the rest of the heroes, pushing past beggars. "Excuse me, Don't have any money, 'scuse me." He shakes his head at the poverty around him, and mumbles curses at the 6 great houses for allowing people to live in such squalor.
  2. Erik runs around a corner and catches up with the rest of the heroes just in time to hear the mans request. He shoves 1 coin into the mans hand, and starts breathing heavily to try and catch his breath.
  3. Perhaps (not that this has anything to do with me, but just an idea) the cultist staff and spell book could be split (as already suggested), but the new artefacts could be combined with artefacts Nyx and Arthur already have?
  4. Erik tumbled out a library window, and made his way to the marketplace. First he stopped by the Artefact shop he'd overheard heroes talking about, and purchased a pair of Barbarian's Boots for 50 gold, leaving him with 346 gold. 396 - 50 = 346 Then visited Anwyl's blacksmith, and sold his Axe for 15 gold, and had Voltedge upgraded to WP: 13 for 360 gold. 346 + 15 = 361, 361 - 110 = 251, 251 - 120 = 131, 131 - 130 = 1 He walked casually back to the hall, tossing his 1 remaining gold to himself as he did so.
  5. I agree. Maybe minimum damage could be put in brackets after the level? Going back to the original question, I'm not in favour of the rule being completely banned, but I'm not in favour of it being made compulsory either. If it was banned, QM's who wanted to use it could, for example, reduce a monsters level by one, and make it cause the poisoned effect for one round, right? And that would have the same end result? So I will vote NAY.
  6. Erik rose from his seat, and finished his drink. On his previous quest, in a rage, he had started a fight resulting in the death of a group of young sentient creatures. He had given them no chance to come to a compromise, and felt that it had been a mistake; that he could have acheived the same result without bloodshed. As he walked towards the library, he hoped that in future he would be able to help avoid unnescessary violence, rather than start it.
  7. "Sure. Siercon, isn't it? Heard you went off hunting frogs. How'd that go?" Erik hands over the scroll of sleep to Siercon in exchange for 35 gold.
  8. "I think I'll have to say no this time. I believe Arimees is a bit busy at the moment, and there are a few heroes in line to duel already."

  10. Thanks for the raffle, Sandy, and thanks KimT for the polybag! So gotta make a *whatever item* of caffeine with this scroll of sleep.
  11. Erik walks through the front door into the hall, feeling a bit disturbed by the death of Daxus. As he passes the questboard on his way to the bar, a particular notice catches his eye. Erik signs up for Quest #44: My Best Friend.
  12. Endgame: I loved the quest. I'll be short here, because everything has been said by other people: A balanced amount of loot - I'm sure Erik will get good use out of his new sword. Now, where's Syntax gone? engaging puzzles, pretty pictures - (the Death Progg going blurry was clever), tough-but-not-impossible battles, and the characters all seemed alive with their unique personalities.
  13. "So, what are you doing now, Punii? Going off to join the Toxiproggs?"
  14. "Nice work, Mizuki. Nothing changed except for the Death Progg getting a bit cut up, and I can't see properly, so I think we can repeat our actions." Erik attacks Death Progg C from the front row, Daxus attacks Death Progg C from the front row twice.
  15. "Put Mizuki first, so she gets more money from mugs. With a lot of luck, we could finish him this round. Aside from that, it sounds good. I think you should seal twice this round, there's a lot of attacks flying around, and those specials are nasty. Next round we can have only 1 person attack, and you can drink that tonic." I'll attack Death Progg D from the front, Daxus can attack twice from the front. (He's a NPC now, so he's expendable.)
  16. "Don't heal Daxus, use that turn to take his phoenix essence. He can use his other turn to drink his potion. I'll attack Death Progg A from the front." Daxus drinks his potion and hands his phoenix essence to Pretzel
  17. "Pretzel, I suggest you seal Death Progg C, and you may wish to seal again, to decrease the risk of it failing, since 4 people are attacking." "Suggested order: Daxus applies venom Pretzel seals (Pretzel maybe seals again) Mizuki Mizuki Erik Daxus"
  18. "Yeah! Go Sir Pretzel!" Daxus applies Venom to Combrys, and attacks from the front. Erik attacks from the front. "The real one is
  19. Berserk shield roll dies the same thing, you just need to roll a 6 for it to happen. Thanks.
  20. "Good points. I won't attack."
  21. If we're suggesting artefacts, I'll put this here: Raven Banner - causes permanent Encouraged effect to party, suitable for Berserks only. Also, does stunned effect if you're hastened mean you miss one action, or both?
  22. "Ah, I guess if we split our attacks, even if we do hit the right one, we won't hurt him much. Death Progg A from the Back row for me."
  23. In the middle of arguing over which Death Progg was real, Erik was hit in the face by a note. He quickly read it, and signed up. "Now what do I do with this? Maybe it's got something to do with why Sir Pretzel was mumbling earlier," He mutters. He tries to think back to what Pretzel had said. "I want free loot? No, that wasn't it. I'm completely insane? Nah, wasn't that. Oh, I remember. What the Progg is this magic? Something something something Z-Male? Z-Mail?" *POOF*
