  1. Not really... But enough of these shenanigans! Let's get back to the real purpose of this thread...
  2. Captain Zuloo, are you saying you're going to French Kiss SlyOwl?
  3. Yes, sell one of the MISB Imperial Trading Posts when Mister Phes is ready to buy one, which unfortunately won't be in the near future....
  4. You also might want to insert a couple of images into your first because that will help your entry get more attention. It's more likely someone will passover a thread without images. In case you're not sure how to do this may I suggest you read our How to Deeplink and Post Images Tutorial as this will teach you how to link directly to your Brickshelf images. This way you don't have to worry about whether your Brickshelf folders are moderated because your images will display regardless.
  5. The Port Block website still exists, the current address is http://portblockyards.com/ - complete with map page.
  6. These poor fellows have certainly got lost! We need a News Item for today and this will do nicely. You haven't been watching Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End lately, have you?
  7. General Armendariz you have depicted a scene of utter chaos! The way you've constructed that wall to make it appear as though it's in the process of being leveled by a barrage of cannon fire is just brilliant. The other gruesome details like the shark biting off the pirate leg and the pirate bleeding into the water are great touches.
  8. This is a nice solid design you've constructed Richard, it looks very tidy and robust with the right amount of little details in the brickwork preventing the walls from appearing too banal. You've also go the most interesting palm tree truck I've ever seen - is there anything in the interior holding them together or are they just sitting on top of each other?
  9. Well Lego12, I must say you're either very brave or quite foolish to include a plane where the aim is to build a creation set in somewhere in 16th-17th centuries. Let us pray the voters embrace it lovingly!
  10. You're a very good Zorro so we'll let you get away with it! Here Furious, a 6286 Skulls Eye Schooner, 6271 Imperial Flagship & 6280 Armada Flagship for under $130. Normally a Skulls eye Schooner alone sells for over $150 - this deal great!
  11. There were some not so long ago but it appears you've missed them. Don't get too furious because I suspect there will be some popping up in the very near future... Right now there seems to be plenty of 4+ 7075 Red Beard's Ship - everyone must be trying to get rid of them for Christmas!
  12. When I saw the word "immurement" in the title this was the first thing I wondered - and now I have been enlightened - so thank you Zorro!
  13. And index already exists! We just haven't released it yet. Why not? Just to be difficult
  14. StoneW4 you have some impressive ships! Like Captain Zuloo suggested, you may benefit from adding some images to your first post as this usually increases the number of views and responses your MOCs will get. So first, may I recommend our How to perform a batch image resize Tutorial as we prefer the images to be in .JPG format and no larger than 800 x 600 pixels so as not to burden those with slower Internet connections and smaller monitors. Then may I recommend our How to Deeplink and Post Images Tutorial as this will teach you how to link directly to your Brickshelf images.
  15. I've updated the description for you. Also you'll need to resize your images to 800x600 in order to comply with contest guidelines.
  16. ImperialShadows has become a pumpkinheaded fiend! Not that he wasn't before, it's just really obvious now (HA! I kill you with your own smiley!) I see the the headless horseman resembelence from the Legend of Sleep, it somewhat reminds me of Oo7's entry for last years's Pirate Halloween contest, except a bit more pumpkiny.
  17. The super huge pictures will have to be resized to 800x600 to be accepted into the contest. So here's a link to our How to perform a batch image resize Tutorial. Also, threads with an image in their first post usually get more attention so this is something Buttons might want to take advantage of.
  18. Thank you for sharing your custom designs Voodoo Hand! A while back we had a discussion about possible future new sub-themes and a Dutch Merchants sub-theme was quite a popular idea, so these designs could be just what the less digitally savvy MOCer needs to get themself started in that direction.
  19. Of course Genaral Armendariz may not know how to deep link, so here is our How to Deeplink and Post Images Tutorial which teaches how to link directly to your Brickshelf images. This way users don't have to worry about whether your Brickshelf folders are moderated because the images will display regardless.
  20. Errr... Where's the Mars Mission fit into all of this? Are those long grey things the missiles?
  21. Definitely a very box cannon and the ice cream cone smoke makes it look very cutesy. The pirate on the other hand counter balances the cutesyness because he's rather mean looking and that head works particularly well on a pirate - which set does that originate from?
  22. The lighting certainly is am interesting touch - I wonder if the effect could be further accentuated with a darker background! I was wondering about that too, I noticed there was some kind of texture on two of the tiles and wondering if perhaps that was meant to represent some kind of fire, but after reading Lord King of Everything's post I'd be leaning more towards the door theory.
  23. Oh dear! It appears a conquistador from the mighty Imperial Armada has faired poorly admist this merry yet raucous Pirate festivy. So what's happened to the dear old governor?
  24. Thank you for this link CVSPIS_CELIDVS, the linking page appears to have images of exhibits in the expo that I've forgotten so that's always exciting!
  25. I agree CPT. Jr, the sail material looks very heavybut that's probably attributed to its colour rather than the material. A lighter shade of material would perhaps work better given the dinghy hull is brown. What kind of material would you recommend?
