After the 2007 line of Star Wars lego persuaded me to get back into the hobby, I frequented brickset as they often had new sets displayed there. Someone there told me that a website called Eurobricks was notorious for turning up pictures of yet-to-be-released sets. I visited it and, after lurking for a few months, I joined.

Really? The backstory behind it is quite good, in that case.

Very thoughtful and detailed review, JimButcher. Your comments about the set make sense and it's obvious a lot of effort went into this. I also really like your TIE Interceptor recolour. It's a shame there are already three reviews for this set, this would have made a good addition to the index.

I have a similar problem, but I haven't yet run out of room to display my sets. Although I fear I soon will.

A mistake, as in your only allowed one? Back on topic, I don't see the license ending anytime soon. I believe Hasbro has already renewed their license and with any luck TLC will follow suit. However, at some point it will inevitably end, and I think a UCS Jedi temple or a Tantive IV in the same scale as the ISD from 2006 would both make great "last hurrah" sets.

I prefer bland, white clones, it makes everything seem more military, and less individual, which seems to fit in with what the clones are (completely non-individual strategic assets). Lucas probably added in coloured ones so it would look like the army was more organized, and that there were separate battalions, legions, etc.

A very well put-together vignette. I especially like the technique you've used to create the back wall. Is this your own creation or is it a canonical part of Star Wars? I look forward to seeing more vignettes from you.

Nice figs. You should definitely play it KimT. Most don't think its as good as CS, but I myself prefer it.

Looks great, especially the torso and hat. Are the weapon and the grenades done by Brickarms or are they a custom mold? Good work!

Recently I have been thinking about something: whether or not the Star Wars license will soon be over. Some say that there simply aren't enough new sets that they can keep creating, and some say the line still has a full head of steam and will keep on going. Currently we have heard no announcements of a license renewal, so what do you think? Voice your opinions and discuss here.

I voted for a larger variety of colours. My reasoning being that I think we have enough pieces, but we don't see enough in sand green/dark tan/dark red and those sorts of colours. I prefer darker colours as it makes the sets look less childish, somehow.

Army building is popular because people simply like collecting a huge, military-looking group of minifigures. If your not an army-builder already you probably wouldn't get the appeal of it.

Very nice room you've got there. I especially like the imperial hangar in the center. As others have said you've also got quite a lot of hasbro.

Maybe if you live in a cardboard box with 350$ inside of it! Then selling your house to pay for it would make more sense!

Good MOC. Well put together, and hilarious! Having the ninja swing in like that is cool, and your idea of using an MF's legs, torso and helmet as the prince's clothes is very unique. Nice Job, and I look forward to seeing more of your MOCs.

I know nobody is requesting SW minifig packs (they already have them), but I would like SW packs with one or two more minifigs, and with the thrown-together vehicle taken out. I think if they started to be done in the Castle BP style it would be a lot better. Also, I agree we need more female minifigs, but I doubt LEGO will ever have a 3 : 1 ratio in favour of female MFs.
