  1. You know too much... On topic, Endor/Hoth battle packs are a must. If the trend of PT one year then OT the next continues we should see one of them in 2010.
  2. I like the way you've made the "spear pit" with the skeletons in it, however I think you could improve the look of the cliff, to make it look more natural. overall, very nice MOC.
  3. In my opinion, the y-wing from 2007 is way better than the new one. But it depends whether you like OT or not.
  4. Set Name: Clone Walker Battle Pack Set Number: 8014 Theme: Star wars Subtheme: The Clone Wars Released: 2009 Price: USD 9.99, CDN 13.99, EUR 14.99, GBP 9.79 Pieces: 72 Minifigures: 4 S@H Description: March into battle with the Clone Army! As the Clone Wars rage across the galaxy, the Republic army advances across the battlefields of hundreds of planets. Build up your army with the Clone Walkerâ„¢, a tough 2-man vehicle with poseable legs and flick-firing missiles! * Includes 2 Clone Troopersâ„¢, Clone Gunnerâ„¢, Clone Commanderâ„¢ and ARC trooper gear! * Build your army and add #8015 Assassin Droidsâ„¢ Battle Pack for even more fun! * Measures over 3.5" (8cm) tall! Bricklink Brickset Peeron S@H One of the most anticipated sets for fans of the new clone wars movie and tv show is undoubtedly the Clone Walker Battle Pack. Being the only way to economically accumulate a clone army, and a brand new minifigure make this one stand out, but is it worth your money? Find out in this review! Box Front The box is typical of the Star Wars line. The clones and their walker are trudging along on a non-descript desert planet, with laser blasts flying at them from an unforseen foe. The box maintains the shiny blue and white box design of previous CW releases. Back The back shows all four minifigures included with the set, as well as a small battle scene that incorporates this set's counterpart: 8015 Assassin Droids Battle Pack. Instuctions Front This is the same as the front of the box. There are no errors in the booklet. Back I think every set I've reviewed has had this on the back. I don't have much to say about it. Minifigures These are the set's real bread and butter. It comes with two clone troopers, a clone commander, and the brand new clone gunner (more on that later). The "clone commander" has no special head or torso markings so he is effectively an ordinary trooper. It is worth it to be noted that the commander gear is now in black, as opposed to dark gray. The only fundamental problem I have found with these are the fleshy heads. They look good, but when the trooper has his helmet on parts of the head can still be seen. I would have preferred it if TLC had included both black heads and fleshy ones, so we would at least have a choice. Clone Gunner Since this is the only new minifigure in this set, I thought it deserved a closeup. It has a brand new torso and head print, as well as dark gray arms. I like this minifigure very much, and I can see it raising the value of this set quite a bit, if it's not put into another set. Notice that the printing on the top of the head on mine is off-center. Weapons/Accessories/Extra Pieces In terms of weapons we get three ordinary blasters, as well as two pistols. The accessories include two antennae, and two night scopes/flashlights (note it also comes with a full set of commander gear, this can be seen in the minifigures picture). For extra pieces we get two cheese slopes, one in light gray, and the other in trans-orange, as well as a blue 1/2 technic pin. Stickers/Decals Only two republic logos are included. Considering we already have a printed republic insignia piece, TLC really didn't have to include any stickers in this set. Clone Walker In keeping with TLC's tradition for battle pack vehicles, the clone walker is a tiny little thing, simply designed and with a low parts count. It looks ok, but I much prefer the clone scout walker released in 2005. The walker seats two and, as is the style with all SW vehicles, has flick-fire missiles. Side View Front View Back View Top View Entire Set Overall Design: 6/10 The vehicle is half-baked, and the use of stickers is discouraging. Build: 10/10 There were no problems. Playability: 7/10 The minifigures and the flick-fire missiles add the only play-value this set has. Minifigures: 10/10 The only cheap clones, and an exclusive minifigure. Price: 8/10 I would have preferred the vehicle was left out, and the price lowered. Total: 41/50 Conclusion This is the set that pretty much salvaged the CW line for me. The ability to build a cheap army is always welcome. If you are a fan of the Clone Wars, or just Star Wars in general, I highly recommend this set. Get one before there gone! Thank you for reading my review. Commenting and constructive criticism is welcome.
  5. Nice MOD. I have been tempted to buy this a few times, but the gaping holes have stopped me so far.
  6. And now I feel stupid. *Slinks back into obscurity*
  7. Nice little flying machine. It fits into the Steampunk theme quite well. Youve used plenty of those finnicky little pieces Im not very fond of, but to great effect. Awesome MOC.
  8. Unlike you, Legolas, I do have a ds. I may get this, if only as a tideover to universe. One thing I dont understand though, why space? Not that Im complaining, but I doubt the target audience of LEGO and the DS have ever heard of that theme, it ended a while ago, didnt it? By the way, the apostrophe key on my keyboard is broken.
  9. The shipping charges would be...astronomical. I believe they are in the battle packs, does anyone remember who it was who said they wouldn`t be? A LEGO rep? A fan? An uninformed idiot?
  10. All but those ones?! That`s incredible! Hopefully soon you`ll have the space to display them all. Now that would be an impressive topic.
  11. If ever I have an excess of cash and nothing else to spend it on, and I buy the set, I may just do that, Jim.
  12. A year and a half, but sporadically for years before that. My first set coming out of my dark age was the 7657 AT-ST.
  13. Interesting idea for a topic. I definitely regret not getting the 7261 clone turbo tank. it was a great set with awesome figures that I missed out on as it was released during my "dark ages".
  14. I'm tired of all these obviously fake sets surfacing. They could at least make them look more convincing and give us some more rumours to discuss in this topic.
  15. Personally, I don't care if the Y-wing has one interesting piece in it. It's still too similar to the one from 2007.
  16. Nice MOC. The backstory is...inventive.
  17. Nice little speeder. Thanks for including instructions.
  18. Nice little MOD. You seem good at making things with finicky little pieces, I was never very good at that. I too wasn't sure what pieces you used until someone clarified it.
  19. No, I meant the actual droid (he provided a picture) is brown. However, his is gray. But they don't make many of those parts in brown. Except for the bucket, its the right colour. Anakin used the force to control this droid and make it transport him. Thus qualifying this as a vehicle. Well, that, and the fella in the santa hat said so.
  20. Up to 3 reviews of the same set will be indexed. Its good to get more than one perpective on a set, especially one of that size. So you've still got a chance.
  21. I didn't mean the name. I just meant that it was ironic that the lava resistant cauldron was represented by a wooden barrel lego element. Although, looking at the source material, it is the right colour.
  22. Looking good! Thats what she said.
  23. Well, it was actually like a week ago....I bought the AT-AP for a 25 dollar discount.
  24. I voted yes and yes. Eurobricks has helped sustain a burden on my wallet and many a creative MOCing idea in my brain. I would never have discovered the joy of reviewing sets if it weren't for EB, and everybody else's MOCs make me wish mine were better.
  25. Great, keep us posted. I notice your from Canada, it's getting warmer where I am too. Although not so on the west coast.
