  1. Not to be a pessimist, but I don't care how "awesome" or not the Mace Windu MFs are. This is kind of a pointless thread in my opinion.
  2. Yes, there was a free raffle for it. Last year the summer CW wave came out on July 26th (correct me if I'm wrong). So expect them to start appearing around that time. I've got to save up for Endor, Hoth, and the snail tank.
  3. Sorry if I sound like a know-it-all, but it has been said that the reason they ended the HP line was because the movies were getting too dark for the target audience, and that the newer movies were lacking in central action points. Its the same story with Batman. Why do you think no scenes/vehicles/buildings from the newer, darker movies were ever made into sets by TLC? Heres a link to an episode of LAML Radio were Steve Witt, a LEGO Community Relations Coordinator, explains that the HP movies are getting darker and outside of the target range. He says its the same for batman. LINK. listen to it towards the end.
  4. I have three torsos like this. As soon as I found this thread, I checked them all and found no colour variation (they were all of the dark green variety). It's weird that so many people have this problem though.
  5. Its doubtful it will be revived. There aren't enough signature locales/buildings in the new movies to warrant sets. LEGO models need to be based around a central action, and the new books/movies don't lend themselves well to that. That, and the books/movies are getting darker. Don't get me wrong, I like the books, and I liked the line, I just think they ran out of things to base sets around. Back on topic, I'd like to see Wild West redone. I missed out on it and all the sets looked fantastic. had you asked me last year I would have said pirates.
  6. Thats an amazing MOC, Slyowl. the SNOT techniques you've used for the jetty look awesome, as do the buildings.
  7. Nice MOC. I'm not crazy about the colour scheme, but as you said, it all depends on the bricks you've got. Again, well done, I wish you luck in the voting!
  8. Very nice entry Bossk. As soon as you told KimT you were going to submit something like this I figured it would be good. I wasn't mistaken. The only real gripe I have is the wooden "lava resistant cauldron".
  9. That's around what I expected. How are you progressing with this? I'd love to see it finished, lets just hope you don't run out of bricks. Also, how do you go about designing something like this? Do you draw it out beforehand or just think as you go? Either way, I'm anticipating the final ship!
  10. Very nice review CloneO'Patra. Congratulations on your first 3 reviews being passed by the way!
  11. Those figures look great, its too bad I missed them all. they really are expensive though.
  12. I didn't think of that. It' incredibly unlikely, but if it did happen, it'd be amazing. I guess it's possible, considering the amount of old, MISB sets that get sold on BL and ebay.
  13. I would say Chrome c-3po is better. It's more movie-accurate. And theres no chance of finding one in a set. EDIT: Missed KimT's post on merging.
  14. Interesting idea. I haven't seen the show, but I think a set or two based on the beginning of The Last Crusade would sell well. However, I don't think that a younger audience would see the point in buying them.
  15. I almost laughed about five times reading this. Seriously, though, your review is a lot more in-depth than I expected. I think you've said all there is to say about ice cube trays.
  16. Uh, how is this on topic? On the subject of the minis, they're not on S@H yet, and I haven't checked my local stores. If anyone in Canada sees them, let me know.
  17. Well, its nearly as long as his kitchen table, which seats six, and so is probably longer than a meter. just saying. Perhaps the builder can confirm/debunk this?
  18. Thats interesting. I have no idea why they'd change it.
  19. Very nice MOC. The only improvement I would make would be to spice up the main body of the ship. Its just crying out for some detail/greebling.
  20. Your right. The only reason Batman was discontinued was low sales and the inability of LEGO to release any movie-themed sets. That said, there is no such problem with SW, the sets are still going strong, and with the CW series as well as the forthcoming live-action one, I don't see this line ending soon. But, my mind won't be at ease until a renewed license agreement is announced.
  21. The Indy game being announced was expected, but I'm surprised by the Harry Potter one. Steve Witt as well as other LEGO reps have confirmed that the line is dead but they are still making a game?
  22. This topic has turned into an interesting discussion. Perhaps a name-change is in order?
  23. Thanks for explaining that Freddie. I had no idea how that worked.
  24. Yes, I joined in Februray of '08, and the site has nearly doubled in terms of member-base since then. Its both a blessing and a curse.
