Heh. I just recently got a Mac. 24" too. It is amazing. :D Anyway. I'm glad Mata Nui will be yellow. We need more yellow limbs. The only ones we have are Bitil's nasty yellow limbs, and Hewkii's single Piraka arm. I'm glad we'll be getting Inika legs as well as Metru legs in yellow. Not a bad thing IMO. :) Also: Skrall is now barely making last place in the Glatorians. I don't like having to place ANY of these guys at the bottom of a list, but Skrall is barely the worst. :/

Ok, srsly. This is not cool. I need 5 thornax stews. And that means, 5*10 for the salts... +25... 75 thornax. Wow. I'm seriously reminded of MNOLGII. When I nneded like 300 cowrie shells. o.O Also I second Rayg's idear of clicking the first thornax only. THat way the clicks are more effective. First according to top left would be easy enough. :)

Ok, I feel really stupid right now but I can't seem to find Malum. Seriously. Is his name something other than Malum or his BIO code, or am I just consistently misspelling it? SRSLY. Two seconds after I post this, it shows up. WTF. Apparently his name is not capitalized. Ugh. Oh, and my MLN is TheDor. I'd appreciate clicks. :)

Well, I just built a Mata Nui replica, and he seems like he'll be an awesome set, even without the ankle cuffs. Of course, the shoulder armor could still be a problem, considering it's size. And the Ignika had better be made to fit a Glatorian head. Otherwise it'll probably be to big, and impede neck movement. But yeah. Now I'm super excited for the summer sets. :D

@Pencoin: MNOLG2 was a cool game, if you didn't need to spend 20 minutes grabbing cowrie shells. Seriously. I nearly got carpal tunnel from that game. Ugh. Although I don't know why you would prefer 2 matoran over 6. I loved the set design of them, so I would have loved as many as possible. @Ikki: I missed out on a bunch of 2007 storyline, so I guess I missed that. But it sounds great, so I would probably agree. Reading the summary on BS01 right now. :)

MNOG was the tool Bionicle used to hook me. I dno't think I would ave been nearly as interested in the storyline (and therefore the sets) if it weren't for MNOG. I think the primary reason that it beats the other years is because of the primary focus was on the Matoran, not the Toa. 2007 sucked because, there were basically no Matoran. Same w/ 2008 (although I liked 2008 better). If the Glatorian played the same roles as the Toa, I would mind the amount of focus they were getting. But since they are barely above the Agori, and the story shares the focus quite a bit, I like 2009. So yeah. We need more Agori stories. And Matoran stories I guess. :D

Still. They seriously shouldn't have to start naming mountains after freakin elbows.

Zesk is really cool, not so sure on Berix. Don't have him yet. I'd suggest Zesk. Just got Zesk and Metus from a buddy. They're pretty neat, although Metus is a bit boring. His shield is awesome though, so it kinda makes up for it. @ the map: Awesome. I love the concept of scrapped Great Spirits on the planet. :D Except the silly names. Elbow Peak? WTF? And anyone who says Mats uses something other than an Inika torso is wrong. It is pretty apparent that it is, w/ Onua / Krika armor. Srsly.
-
And there's your problem. ;) But Gresh is becoming more awesome by the minute. But Strakk and Vorox are definitely better. Love Strakk. He fits his personality very well. :) And Tarix is losing his steam. It's kinda sad. He's a good figure. Better than the Mistika, but still the worst of the group. Although he really does pull off the rich king look very well.
-
Eh. It works for me. It also stabilizes the claws, so they don't impede shoulder movement as much. And the thickness makes him look hollow and full of air. Doesn't look good, IMO. And he looks uncomfortable around the neck. I like the long limbs. Makes him stand out among the rest. :)
-
Slightly. Tarix is a bit boring, but Gresh has a similar design, only a little longer in the limbs. However, putting his shoulder claws behind the torso improves him a lot. I still absolutely adore Gresh but Tarix is a little better. But that doesn't matter, because Vorox beats 'em all. :P Except his tail is backwards. But that is easily fixed. :)
-
Well, I now have all the Glatorian. Vorox is soo cute. I love the tan. And the adorable headcrab face. <3 Definitely my fave of the bunch right now. Love the tail. Gresh looks very unbalanced, IMO. I wish his legs were a little bulkier. And his torso is a bit annoying. Tarix is amazing. I loves him so much. The gold is astounding. It really makes the set. Although the Mata blue hands and feet detract a bit. And the thornax are getting really dull. I still think they are by far the best launchers Lego has released. Makes me happy. But they are boring, so I just leave 'em off now. :\ If you guys can get these sets, I suggest you do. They are definitely worth it. Best sets evar.

K, well I just got Strakk, and I am very happy with him. I love his big megablocks-axe (xkcd ftw), and his helmet is definitely amazing. The rubbery armor bugs me though. Not majorly, but a bit. Also, no one seems to stres how tall he seems, and is, but not by too much, mostly because of his long neck. I hate how he holds his Thornax, so I just changed it. But usually he isn't carrying it. Love the three tones, contrary to some people. I think it makes his colors more icy, in that it shows transition. All the light blue is at a place where white meets dark blue. Makes it look much more like really ice to me. And I love how troll like he is. I just imagine him under a bridge eating goats. :D

AGH my ankle knee and wrist are broken OH NO!1! Seriously. That is absolutely ridiculous. I cannot believe some people. Making sure their joints bend the right way isn't that hard. Well, I am having a tough choice right now. Should I get Strakk, Gresh, or Tarix? I get to get one of them tonight, so just wondering which one you guys think is best. :)

I didn't think the Piraka Torsos were that bad, but they certainly were worse than Inika torsos. They need armor. But that's the only serious problem. Also, lols at Dandezille at BZP: http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=306144 The link at the bottom is topless pics of Megan Fox, not a vid of Pohatu. XD
-
You mean the dark round part around his waist? Isn't that just a Metru armor piece? That's what it looks like to me. Although his thigh armor is worrying me. I hope that it isn't Inika shoulder armor that it looks like. That would make the set suck. Especially if he is a new color, and can't change it. D: But I'm slightly concerned about Kiina. Looks like she has an Av-Matoran torso. That might be a problem. MIght work out better than I think. I love the amount of new armor though. That is a good sign.
-
Oh. Bummer. Wait. He can't be worse than any other Inika wannabe, so don't think I'll be able to consider him terrible, or hate him. So yeah. Thanks for letting me know he isn't as cool as he seems at least. :) @Ikki: I don't have Tarix, but Skrall and Malum are definitely cool sets. What is it that makes him more awesome?
-
Okay, those new pics of Gresh make him so much more want now. He's almost up to Strakk's level now. Skrall Vorox Malum Strakk Gresh Tarix I hat having Tarix at the bottom of the list. He's so cool he deserves better. but not enough better. ;_;
-
hewkii9, I do not support that kind of behaviour. But it is megablocking hilarious. [/bad parent] lol they deleted it. funny stuffs. Anyways. Everyone keeps talking about Stronius having a new torso. Look. You can see the clear cross part of the back of an Inika torso. Srsly. And still in love w/ MN. I'm so glad Lego didn't screw him up. :D
-
Woohoo! Mats has a cool weapon, even w/ silver! I actually think silver makes sense on Mata Nui, seeing how many silver weapons he had inside him. ;) But I like the double ended claw shield sword thing. Way neet. Now I'm even more eager for summer. Ugh.
-
Ackar, Mata Nui, Stronius, and Gelu have Inika torsos. Mats has Krika armor, and Stronius has a backwards Inika, bumped down to the lowest and shortest we've seen. And ugh. Vastus has Hordika legs. D: But that doesn't matter. Gelu looks awesome. Reminds me of what Kopaka could have looked like. :D And everyone who dislikes Malum 'cuz he's short, will HATE Stronius. I hope Stronius is a Skrall. He has the right color scheme, and looks kinda similar. I hope so. I really do. Lots of new pieces I think. This makes me happy. I lurves new pieces. :D :D :D

Well, Toa Haotaus has some new pics of Vorox, some much more flattering pics of Vorox, and a couple Strakk pics. Vorox Strakk It's nice to see how the sets will look in person more. The previous pics of Vorox always made him look funny. These ones actually look good.

Hm. Looking at Tahu I see nothing elemental aside from red and firesword. Kopaka has no ice. Lewa has no air. Gali's mask looks like a scuba mask, but claws really don't seem watery to me. Pohatu has tan, and shoes, which I guess could be stony. Onua has claws, which are I guess earthy. None of the elemental themes are exclusive, Jaller Inika's sword, great color scheme, plus great articulation, puts him above Tahu in my book. And Jaller Mahri's extremely fire based color scheme makes him about as elemental, and his cool Arthron is about equal, except for the lack of simplicity, to the Hau, IMO. :\
-
I have to agree with Wrack. The original sets really weren't that good. They certainly weren't BAD, but they had the same articulation as sets we got for $5. They certainly wouldn't have made the grade for canister sets. Although I realized as I was buying Skrall and Malum, that the canisters have progressed a lot. And the Matoran / Agori have progressed to almost the same articulation and price of the original canisters. Just thought that was kinda funny.

You should. I have had no breakages yet, and I've disassembled them twice. :\ Ah. I meant to say as creative, or more. :)
