I think that the Jungle Defender shows it the best, so here's a quickly whipped together image pointing it out.

Both Pyrox and Furno XL are available for pre-order on Amazon in the US.

I don't know how people have been not noticing Nex. He's right here, behind Furno and Bulk. Stringer is the only one missing at this point. EDIT: That's actually Rocka, never mind!

Oh my god, it's glorious

This is exactly what I had expected out of the "new" system when it was introduced. A more system-like base for the action figures, wherein all the basic pieces came in a variety of colors. I've been so far disappointed by the current selection. I'm also hoping for the return of 2.0/3.0 headpieces, since I feel that system worked quite well and would have loved to have seen it expanded upon. I would also love more pin-based accessories, such as the fire piece of 2.0 and the spiny shield piece of 3.0.

I'm quite certain it connects to either shoulder, possibly in addition to the two pegs. You can see the socket quite clearly in this picture, below the silver / gunmetal shell on his left shoulder.

The prices are by no means officially confirmed, so I wouldn't get upset about it yet. Furthermore, Stormer clearly has some fairly large pieces which would bump up the price per piece more. The same could be true for Speeda Demon, especially considering Witch Doctor was composed of many more small Technic pieces than any other Hero Factory set in the new system. Maybe Speeda Demon will be more composed of the new system. That said, it is still a pretty significant drop in number of pieces for both of them, but waiting out until Toy Fair to make a final decision seems like a good idea for a lot of people in this thread.

He does not- the armor is attached in the only place lower body armor would attach. why won't you reveal your secrets I think it may be a new torso piece. It appears the hip portion of a standard torso is connected to the tail and wings. And there seems to be some variety of armor on the back, but there is clearly not room for an entire normal torso. And the Waspix piece is clearly attached to a bit that has no joint ends which would not be present on a standard skeleton, and I can't think of how it would attach to one... This argument is invalid. The "muscles" of these sets look like armor plating, which BIONICLE certainly had. Bionicle also had mechanical components meant to look like muscle. And new things are not always bad, and acting like a child about things you dislike certainly isn't going to be changing any minds ;) That gallery didn't have those images until after Aanchir had posted them, as far as I'm aware. (Meso's post seems to confirm this)

I hadn't even thought of him using the Waspix arm piece, that actually makes a lot of sense. It explains the bald joint behind his head. The lower armor coukd be attached the same way Fangz extra armor attached, using a technic peg and a ball piece. A simple mock up matches the picture pretty closely so I think that is the culprit.
-
I'm fairly confident that the armor is size 6. It seems to extend one stud length past the armor attached onto it, which is true of both 6 & 7, but 7 would cause issues with the tail. A quick mock up makes me think that Jawblade is going to be a pretty good set all around. I am a fan of nontraditional builds like his. Does anyone know what Thornraxx's torso build is? The extra limb piece Waspix introduced is apparently how the arms are connected, but I don't understand the rest. EDIT: Also, Toxic Reapa's? The 3 length armor can't attach in those places with just a standard torso. Especially the lower one. Also, I just realized how much trans green is in that set. So much love for this wave now.
-
ha ha homestuck jokes My main problem with the possible return to the Glatorian heads is the fact that it will render the last two wave's helmets incompatible. I was okay with the new heads because I figured they'd be around for a while (also the jawline was so good, oh man). The inconsistency is starting to irk me. Maybe I'm just too picky, though.

I had forgotten about Rocka XL's white bone pieces, and I was unaware they turned out to be grey. In either case, they were different bones from Breez's, so I guess I should have said "basic bone pieces." I believe he does, if only because there isn't any reason for him not to. It's difficult to say with any real certainty, though. From his silhouette, however, it seems like he does. The top part of the blaster doesn't seem pushed as far back as Rocka's does, and Rocka uses an old styled hand which would explain this.
-
That's what I was thinking, except the line between the two colors is far crisper than any two-tone piece I've seen. Maybe that's just due to CGI and what-not, but I can't imagine a marbled core being released. Jawblade and Fangz very clearly have different heads. Similar in some ways, yeah, but overall quite different. And this being a prequel wouldn't work very well, seeing as Evo was either a 1.0 for a very short time, or created as a 2.0. I think these figures are very clearly updated with the 2.0 tech at least, aside from the helmets (and Breez's feet). Also, just noticed that Breez's forearms are possibly white. That would be interesting- bone colored bone pieces. And from the backgrounds (as well as the specific modifications in the case of Furno and Breez), it's pretty apparent which Hero will be fighting which villain. Seems a little ridiculous that Rocka will be fighting Black Phantom all by himself, considering how new he is.
-
Ah, that appears to be the case. I had assumed that there was a similar system to the 2.0 and 3.0 Heroes with a chest armor on top of the torso armor. This is apparently not the case for this batch.
-
Rocka's left forearm is incredibly stumpy, I just noticed, consisting of only one of these and a basic joint for a hand. I think that the length of his blaster / crossbow weapon will balance it out, but that's difficult to judge from these pictures. Both Furno and Breez seem to have more traditional arms. I'm curious to see if the Hero Cores end up being separate pieces from the armor they are attached to. Their small size makes me think that they won't, but their coloration makes me a little doubtful. Also, I'm totally in favor of non-traditional builds such as those used in Thornraxx and Jawblade, but how are they going to stand? I guess Thornraxx could do a sort of tripod thing, and Jawblade possibly could use the Furno 3.0 wings / Raw Jaw tusks to stand. Anyway, these sets have definitely grown on me since the initial reaction, hopefully they will continue to do so up to their release date.

The images have been removed from Brickshelf, apparently. Hopefully one of you saved these images for the slow folks such as myself? Okay, so, I'm a little confused as to why they are returning to the Glatorian helmets? I was quite fond of the heads used in the Heroes these last two waves. Also, the size difference between Furno/Breez/Rocka and Surge/Evo is irritating. I hope that it isn't too glaring once they're released. The reuse of the 1.0 helmets (and feet in Breez's case) is also a little odd. It's possible they're placeholders, but I am certainly not counting on it. The pauldrons are pretty sweet, as are the new blaster pieces, even though they seem pretty much only useful for one purpose. If they are carried through into other releases, it should be pretty cool, but I don't think that will be the case. With Breez and Surge both having a larger quantity of pieces in their secondary colors, I wish the same had happened to Evo. Lego taunted us with the purple! Other than that he looks pretty sweet, much bulkier than his 2.0 version which I'm a big fan of. The tubes and such on Furno and Rocka are pretty sweet too. Also looking forward to these hand cuff pieces. As far as the villains are concerned... Black Phantom looks dreadful. I'm not often one to say it, but he is. An overbulky torso with chicken legs far worse than Fire Lord. He seems, to me, to be a less impressive version of Fire Lord, but without the excuse of being an early titan. By the third wave, the sets should not look this shoddy. The innovation in Jawblade and Thornraxx makes me hopeful though. The similarities between Splitface / Toxic Reapa and Thunder / Meltdown does lead me to think that the characters are related storyline-wise. They certainly look better than the Heroes, in my opinion, for the first time since the introduction of Hero Factory. I'm a little afraid of Hero Factory making large transitions like this frequently. It makes me more hesitant to buy them if the style is going to be inconsistent. I loved the fact that the 2.0 and 3.0 Heroes were so compatible. But I guess the similarities would cause problems if carried on for too long.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the other chest pieces made their ways into Hero Factory as well.
-
The main difference between these B2 bones and the A3 bones is stability. It looks like there isn't any movement (or very little) at the point of connection.
-
I'm not seeing it on either Iron Man nor Hulk. Any insight into what this piece actually accomplishes? It looks to me like a simple way to extend the bone. Anyway, these guys look mostly good, aside from Hulk looking a little oddly constructed, and Batman's ridiculous looking "wings". I'm sure the finalized versions will look much smoother, and I'm quite eager to see the Joker and Captain America sets. As it stands, I'm probably going to be getting all of these guys. Still hoping that Hero Factory will keep going, though.

I'm fairly certain it's attached via a 4 length armor piece, which is connected to a short limb bone (such as the shins on the Heroes, hence the gray), which is then connected to its main body. This explains how the fang-spears are attached as well, with the armor on the middle ball and the fang-spears on the end ball. ... If that makes sense.
-
I believe I have an accurate skeleton built in front of me right now. You can clearly see in this picture the cup above his butt. This could only be possible with a limb piece connected to his back. Also, if you look closely you can see a light gray peg hole just to the right of his shoulder armor, which leads me to believe he uses an Av-Toran connector + probably 90607. Fangz has the front armor piece attached to the front joint of a limb bone. The other two are connected via separate ball joints, possible the new piece Brickthing proposed. That's true. There are a few shots that it looks very different from the other white pieces, but that's probably due to the shadows from other pieces. The piece I think you see is one of: Then connect a new double-cup to it, and attach the armor to the middle, mask piece onto the armor, Hordika neck onto the other socket, attach tusks, there you go.
-
The white bone pieces might actually be light gray, but it's hard to tell due to lighting. In some pictures they look white, in others they look light gray. Also, they are one of the new bone pieces I speculated about earlier. Probably 90615. This gives me hope that there will be more of the "missing" bone pieces. :) Raw-Jaw seems to have a lower limb bone on his back, attached via Av-Toran connection piece. Hence the little cup near the "neck" of the underarmor piece on his back. Fangz seems to have the same construction, with the possible new piece you mentioned, but I figure it's just as likely to be ball + axle/pin piece. I hope it's a new piece, because it would fit extremely well into the new theme, but I don't think it's all that likely. Is there any reason to believe the pins on the spikes from the 2.0 wave are actually longer? They look about the same length to me, and I can't think of a reason for LEGO to shorten them. I certainly hope they are silver, because they look dreadful in red and black (on Bulk). I would put their color down to simple mistakes by the builders'. So, with all the new angles, I'm really excited for another wave of Heroes, as well as some new villains, especially Raw-Jaw and Witch Doctor. Witch Doctor looks like such a good titan in my opinion, despite the fact that he seems to be basically a BIONICLE titan, not a Hero Factory one. But that's okay! We've got Scorpio as a good example of an almost entirely new system titan. And he looks amazing, too. Also, Jimi is not impressed with his nickname. He just looks so serious! I love it.
-
Aren't claws good "animal-styled" weapons for animals like bears and wolves? I think these sets are far more animal themed than Knights Kingdom ever was. Furno and Stormer are the only ones who aren't quite as well fitting to the theme. Keep in mind that LEGO can't afford to release massive amounts of new molds every wave like they did with the last one ;) And also that the Heroes still need to look like heroes, not monsters. Also, I think almost all of the helmets are very bestial, not just one or two.
-
Nothing seems to be all that severely built incorrectly, from what I have seen. I've noticed a few inconsistencies from the box images, but that may be due to finalization. Not all of them. Waspix still has a few black ones. Even so, I think that most of them look fine, and a little variety is a good thing, as far as I'm concerned. I don't really know what justification this change really needs :) I'd be complaining if the Hero sets weren't already the best impulse sets we've ever had, as well as the fact that Agori, Av-Matoran, Stars, were all just as much clones. I figured it was pretty standard. Especially considering the entirely new system means that having some consistent "simple part packs" like the Heroes is a great help. I am a major fan of re-armoring a basic frame that remains fairly consistent. I think that's a major benefit of the new system. I actually hope for MORE Heroes like this, with more recolors and a few new additions to the armor (such as the claws! :D) Oh, and Jimi is totally a bear. Just look at his little bear ears! I think Jimi is my favorite Hero of this wave. Raw-Jaw is probably my favorite small villain. All the titans seem to be of similar quality, but I'm looking forward to Scorpio, because it looks like he's a pretty good example of an almost entirely new system large scale set. I will probably have to remove Rocka XL's shoulder supports as well. It looks like he might have some waist articulation as well, but that may be nothing more than "box art magic".

I'm fairly certain it's not Nex. The silhouette has a spike on the elbow, Nex does not. Nex also has two of the blade / saw pieces on his shield, the silhouette does not. Though, the headgear does appear to be Nex's. This is not surprising, considering there won't be any new molds introduced with the Recon Team designer. I would not be surprised if this were Merrick. I would also not be surprised if it were nothing more than just a generic hero to demonstrate the Recon Team designer.
