  1. I normally use flesh heads, but I like yellow heads just as much. I don't particularly like it when people use both yellow and flesh figures in a creation as the colors just seem too different for them to be in the same universe.
  2. When I think what Avalonia would look like, I tend to think lots of valleys like Weathertop in the lord of the rings.
  3. The two of us are New Zealanders, so a mass of pine trees is somewhat required before the province feels like home.
  4. Quick, someone save the ale!
  5. Once the holidays start, I think I'll try the same. You and De Gothia have inspired me!
  6. /Double post. Would anyone object if I made my sigfig's steed immortal? Think captain Jack from Doctor Who. I was working on a background story for my sigfig, and one of the ideas I had was that he inherited his horse from his father, who took it from a Necromancer who had cursed if with magic that meant it couldn't die. I don't imagine it will make much of a difference to anything, but I think it would be a cool little bit of background information to include.
  7. Congrats! I'll send a keg of ale for the oncoming festivities, oh great sir David.
  8. Nice scene. It's a shame to see some of our soldiers go, I sure hope you made those thieves pay.
  9. If you can build it Studless, I would go with that.
  10. On the other side of Darkwood forest, could you extend the forest to the border of the lake? That is where my tower is going to go, and I have already envisioned that the landscape would be trees, with a slight clearing for it before the lake starts.
  11. And he swoops in to claim the first post on the 130th page.
  12. Sorry for the lack of activity everyone, I've been lurking a bit. I intend to enter this challenge. I have a few assessments at school over the next few weeks, but after that, it's the holidays, so I hope to get a lot of building done.
  13. Next time, just throw a pool party!
  14. Wasn't the hall you built for challenge III's intro the great hall?
  15. I really like the actual build so far, but I'm not so sure on the sail. I've never looked into building a boat, but if there is a Purist sail that's about the right size for what your aiming for, I would try and use that instead. If there is no purist option, your custom one works well.
  16. I leave town for a few days, and all hell breaks loose! The crystals are stolen, out hero's are turned into spirit elementals, Kaloyan prepares to attack the Imperial city, and the war with the Drow escalates. What are we going to do?!?!?!
  17. I love the foliage on Avalonia's side, and how well you have transitioned the ground. I've always imagined that the border would be a little less abrupt.
  18. Damn, If I want to take down the most Drow, I better step up my game!
  19. Hah, I don't even care if we sign a piece treaty with the Drow, my assassins are having too much fun to leave the battle now!
  20. Thanks a lot everyone! As you have probably noticed by now, I tend to rely on the layout of figures to make up for my smaller builds. I tried using green plates to 'undercoat' the grass in this build, which I quite like. Unfortunately, my collection of green plates seems to have somewhat disappeared, so I might need to go and pick up some more!
  21. Building a bigger army in order to stop fighting. Only an Avalonian could pull it off!
  22. I've found some Drow slinking around outside our borders. Their heads are mine.
  23. We could see a pair of dark figures through the grass. With them was a worried looking man, his hands tied behind his back, his shoulder trickling with water, centered around a rather large gash. Where they were taking him, we do not know, but wherever it was, I don't think his future looked bright. The figure at the back of the trio snapped his head towards the bushes, his sword drawn. 'Sir, that is the second time I've heard something. We're being followed. We stepped from the bushes, knowing that our attempt at a sneak attack had failed. 'You know Zach, next time I tell you not to have your bow drawn while sneaking through the forest, you should actually listen to me.' Victor was clearly annoyed with me. Rightfully so too. 'What do we have here? The court jester of Avalonia has been sent to take us down? Take your best shot you little runt.' I let go of the arrow. He swayed to the left, the arrow grazed his cheek. 'What were you expecting Drow? You think I was just going to stand here looking pretty?' 'Honestly, I was. Avalonians don't tend to think for themselves, I figured you would go with your training, and try to arrest me like every other soldier from the pearl city. Like every other solider that has crossed me however, you are going to fall to my blade.' The second of the dark figures began to speak. 'Take hthem, I don't have time to deal with a couple of bumbling dogs from the west. Honestly, they sent these two to take on the Drow? I wouldn't be surprised if the grand Avalonian army consisted of a few donkeys, and the pixies that the girls of the grand Albion court managed to catch while they were waiting for the next outing your leader needed an escort for. Honestly, you Avalonians are pathetic.' We drew our swords. 'Your not dealing with a couple of soldiers, Drow. And unlike them, we don't fight fair.' We charged. My blade met his. He was hyped up. He threw a punch at me. Now he was off balance. That will be the last mistake he will ever make. I grabbed his wrist, and Victor tackled him. He was down, and I was up, with my sword at his neck. He was as good as dead. After a messy slash, I helped up Victor. The Drow's sword was lying at my foot. 'This is a nice blade.' 'You can collect all the blades you want later, but not if we let the trail run cold. Lets go.' Victor was off in a sprint, after the Drow that left the battle. And so the hunt was on...
