Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion

Is there really only 2 active members in Nocturnus? Oh, I can't even begin to say how much I miss the Drow right now. He would make a most excellent target to belittle. On a serious note, there isn't any way Angeli can come back, is there? -

Whenever I see army pictures, my fist thought is always whether or not I could knock down all figures with a bowling ball. -

I've just realized, according to that map, the plot of land I own is about 40 times more than I needed. -

Oh I'm sorry ZC! I think you're doing a great job! The reason I ask, is because I think GoH guild threads tend to be more active when there is some form of leader actively posting. If you left us, all us army grunts would act like a bunch of dogs chasing cars! -

ZC, if you do head over the border, would we get another temporary leader? -

Hey again guys. Is anyone else at all worried about the fate of GoH after the end of the challenges? It seems like a number of people are as enthusiastic as they have been since the start, but you can't deny the fact that we have certainly lost quite a few members since it all began, and a scary number of others just aren't nearly as active as they used to be. There is also the fact that in between challenges finishing, and when we get the results back, our guild thread is like a ghost town. Y'all have any thoughts on the matter? On a somewhat unrelated note, I've considered switching back to fleshies again, but I'm going to need everyone else's input before I make up my mind. First things first, I switched to yellow primarily so that I would fit in, and be able to use peoples yellow sigfig designs, and because at the time there was a small number of castle style minifig parts that fleshies could use. One day, everything changed when the LOTR sets attacked. Since then, it seems like a number of prominent builders have switched to fleshies, and I admit, I've had an awful lot more fun playing around with fleshie figs recently than I have with yellow. This is coming from someone who can't focus on two things at once (my excuse for the lack of GoH stuff recently) so I'm tempted to just go back. The thing is though, everyone has all there characters in yellow, so every time I want to feature someone (something I will want to do a lot of) I'll have to go about nagging them for a fleshie alternative of their character. Maybe I'm over thinking again. I should really get out of the habit of posting long paragraphs on Eurobricks at 2 in the morning. -

I really should pay a bit more attention to this thread. I just missed something about Berry, right? Or is the word Cabal really offensive and I just don't know it? And does that mean I'm going to get banned? And should I stop over thinking the situation? And should I not consistently avoid going to bed until one in the morning? Am I even making sense? hwehwehweh I have a build that I've had photographed for maybe 3 months now, that I've just forgotten to upload. I think my building skills have improved a fair bit since I built it, and it was nothing overly special in the first place, but it had a nice story to it. It had a nice story to it in my head, at least. Do y'all think I should post it? Speaking of which, where is DG at? -
You better get out of there quickly Mitgardian!

I do the same thing whenever I build something. I was fiddling with a creator house I bought a few months ago, and ended up playing out my own version of the exorcist in it. -

With the additions I made from Christmas, I think some more serious buildings are on the radar for me. I have a build that I photographed over a month ago, but I've been avoiding uploading it because of all of the site updates. I'll get around to that over the weekend. -
I've been looking forward to seeing your reaction! I have no idea which army I think would win, to be honest. They're both so big!

Okay, I'll head there to grab one today. So, what are people's thoughts on the hobbit sets? As far as usage for GoH goes? -

The two forest maiden thing per box is going to be a real pain. Me and Legonardo get our figures from the same place, so that gives us one each, assuming we can ninja them before someone else manages to grab one. I'm nto sure if that figure is overly appealing to most kids, so we might be safe on that front, but at the same time, I'm pretty sure most kids just grab the first bag they see, and hope for the best. I'm off to pick up a Mirkwood spider set. Yay! -

Hahah! Good ol' BeerBeard! I'm done with exams, as well as the obligatory lie in bed for 10 straight days period that follows. I still have a build to post from about a month ago, which I'll try and do first thing tomorrow morning. After that, I'm going to get busy building! Has anyone seen maiden from CMF series 9? I think that's a pretty ideal Avalonian figure. I swear each series includes one figure perfect for us. -

Yes, Japanese is my last exam. Sorry for the late reply. Speaking of Middle earth, this place really has turned! Aside from the giant Hobbit sculptures everywhere, there is a themed marketplace on the waterfront that is packed with people, and the local greenbelt, where Amon Hen and a few other scenes were filmed, is packed with tourists as well. I normally walk through for a bit of piece and quiet on the way to town, but that certainly isn't happening! On top of that, I've been able to shake hands with a number of cast members over the last few weeks. Because I have no chance of spelling all their names correctly, lets say I've met Legolas, Fili, Kili, and Frodo. Certainly exiting times indeed! I have a build photographed and ready to post, but I haven't found the time to actually post it. It's a narrative scene in which my character meets dG. It includes a couple of useless guards, an angry pack of bandits who think of themselves as Avalonian heroes, and a couple of real Avalonian Heroes showing off what they are made of. And an explosion, of course. -
Your Dwarves lack discipline. You wouldn't happen to be trying to start a war now, would you?

Or of course, doing something about it, and then breaking down when you read the first question in your exam because you know you have no chance of passing. -

I didn't realize the people of Kaliphlin spoke Japanese! Loving all the little details in here. They really bring the scene to life. -
Awesome entry! I'm loving the palisades.
