Hi all you Unimog Drivers I implemented a solution for a better steering of the Unimog. Steering works way better now. Happy Building! Ralph

Don't forget you get two very useful switches in the 7939. That's why you pay $20 more. I have two 7939 and I think the new train will be a nice addition.

After an outstanding ship like the Queen Anne's Revenge I'm really disappointed about the Black Pearl. I don't believe we will see any changes until it's final release. I'm sorry to say that but I really expected more. Optical the Black Pearl is far behind the Blackbeard's Bounty.

Looks awesome! I think you can't build it better in this small scale. Great job. Really like the older Unimogs.

LOL. Absolutely right. I also received 4 baggies of the shiny gold ones like in the picture above (for all three POTC Sets with gold included). Before that they only sent me three of the older type gold coins (12 total) without the bars.

Looks great. Thanks for sharing. BTW it looks better than the forthcoming new Technic Flagship Unimog.

REVIEW: 8804 LEGO Minifigures Series 4
Routemaster replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Many thanks for the series 4 review - my favorite series so far. About Data Analysis: Can you tell where each minifig is placed in the box? I remember we had those information for series 1 and 2 and it was very helpful when you don't buy a complete box or don't try to pick up a complete set of 16 figs at the same day. -
I'm glad I just paid 0,07 Euro each for my two 1 x 6 thin liftarms in yellow I've needed for my 8043. A mistake from the seller: He offered the 1x6 but only had them in 1x5. He purchased the right ones that I ordered and sent them to me from Italy. That's life. Recent prices for 1 x 6 thin liftarms in yellow are horrable. But supply and demand. Right?

8070 Supercar
Routemaster replied to BrickWild's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Picked one Set up at TRU today. Hopefully I start building it tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I will buy another one for the B-Model. -
8070 Supercar
Routemaster replied to BrickWild's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
YES!!!! Also called TRU today to ask when they're available. With a little luck 8070 could be there by the end of next week. Would be a great b-day present. -
Thank you very much for the review and the picture story! Excellent job! Definitely a 'must buy' to me. Lots of interesting parts, very nice cars, awesome bank. Can't wait to get this set.

8043 vs 8258
Routemaster replied to davidmull's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have both and to be honest I was disappointed with 8258. Sure, it's big and the gear box is innovative but that's all. The crane itself is lame and boring. If you want high play value there is no doubt to prefer 8043. You will have fun for many, many hours. -
I totally agree to your post, Blakbird. Many thanks for bringing it to the point. I would really love to see more Sets in stores, designed by Goose Valley. The 8043 Excavator is way better in all it's aspects than last years flagship. Way more long-time playability. That's what I expect from a flagship.

Same here. That's why I called them again one week ago. They told me they ran out of service packs. More are ordered and they get them in this week. They started again to mail them out. The lady on the phone also told me they have two lists. She had no clue why I didn't got one service pack yet even though I ordered one so early (August, 25th). Best thing will be to call them again, M4X1994.

Finally received my Service Pack here in Germany yesterday. Ordered it on 08/25. Never built the regular version of 8043 but built directly Jurgen's ultimative version. To me there are no improvements with the new LA's. Using a XL-motor for the boom it makes no different if I have the new LA's or the old ones. Personally I think the older LA's worked better for the shovel and upper arm of the boom (less play when they're extended). Maybe I have to use the new LA's for a couple days.

TECHNIC Sets from 2010
Routemaster replied to LordGalewind's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the update, JunkstyleGio. I'm really excited which replacement parts we will get and when we'll see the first pics of them, maybe with a statement from TLC. I got the information the Service Packs will be mailed out late Sept./early Oct.. Anyway, I'm pretty sure when they're ready to ship TLC will send them out immediately. -
Swapped both LA's today (bucket and dipper) and it seems both included LA's from the 8043 set are not really problem-free. At least with the swapped LA's from my 8265 Wheel Loader it works definitely better. No rattling sound anymore from the inside of the LA. Maybe it is interestingly for some of you: The inprint on the noisy LA's I swapped have "12x0", the way better running older ones say "09x9". You can see the inprint below the orange cross-axle input of the LA. Ralph
