Mine is also flat on both sides as well. Interesting find though, but I think it looks kind of odd, like it sticks too far out or something.

Funny, I must be weird, as I like the smell of brand new tires XD. And the stickiness that comes with them usually disappears in a few weeks for me. Carpet seems to accelerate this.

This is being given out at Lego Stores (or at least mine) in July with a purchase of $75 or more. It was in their monthly flyer.

Jamie Beard, the designer behind CC and GG (and I believe this set) considers the CC from the 20s and 30s according to an interview here (bottom of page 28). Besides.. it's Lego, use your imagination people! I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way

Is this set really that amazing that people are complaining about the flag and the tree? Those are probably the easiest things in the world to remove. I guess everything has to be criticized >.>

I really love that ram car Interesting concept for a train

Well of course the Star Wars aliens are going to be more detailed, they have to be. LucasArts probably has people specifically designing all the aliens in Star Wars, where TLC has significantly less people to do that. Besides, TLC's effort is more into the vehicles, not the minifigs, so I'd say for what we're getting, I definitely prefer the SPIII aliens.

I have approximately 450+. Still adding sets on Brickset though..

Any Idea When the Next Pirate Sets will be announced?
Yeow replied to Dr. Steve's topic in LEGO Pirates
The reason America invaded Canada was because there was a number of British troops stationed there. -
Has anyone tried to preserve the TLC stickers?
Yeow replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Wow, I have sets on stickers that are more than a decade old that look absolutely fine. Maybe some pockets of air that I can't really explain. I just try not to handle any of my sets by those parts that have stickers. I think that the oils in your fingers probably do more damage than anything. -
What effect does Toy Story have on future WW sets?
Yeow replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
But remember, the original Western Theme was not "Cowboys vs. Indians", it was "Cowboys vs. Bandits". I don't recall a set where Indians and Cowboys were included together, the Indians were always by themselves. -
If the Passenger train is unique or amazing (Metroliner & Emerald Night), they are easily nicer than the freight trains. But the RC passenger train...

Hm, I'm only 40 minutes from the one Stonebriar Centre now! Better than the 5 hours from the one in Houston ~.~

I wish I had picked this up back when I had a chance. Today, on Bricklink at least, it's price is 3-5 times MSRP.

There are more civilian sets being released this summer. Some reviews and rogue pictures are popping up around the forum, such as this one.
-
From what I hear, the Passenger train was kind of sub par compared to most Lego trains. However, the Emerald Night does not include track unless you get that combo deal from Lego.

That, and it also looks like the wheel wells would possibly get in the way if the door were extended all the way out. I personally never liked the blue vehicle anyways. The wheels on it and 7731 Mail Van are really strange..

Even the smaller orange toy truck, 7638 has orange doors. Why couldn't they of just added those ;[

That Chick-Fil-A is incredibly realistic. Very nice work, great job!

Wow, that's great news! It certainly took them long enough to get one here. Recession's over (for me at least)!

Drawbridge Defense slightly reminds me of 6089 Stone Tower Bridge from the Ninja series

The only rubber bands in Bionicle sets that broke for me were ones that were stretched out all the time (8539 Manas). Ones in sets like 8538 Muaka and Kane-Ra that were relaxed seemed to do just fine. The only problems that I had with tires was that I couldn't get the actual tire off of the wheel rims due to it becoming hardened on to the rim!

There were two versions of the car, and most of the smaller police sets. One version came with black stickers in English and green stickers in German. Later versions came with blue stickers in English and German

It seems so... anti-climatic all folded up. Great review none the less!

I must say, I like the front end of 8402 much better than the one in 7898. Too bad it's in red again, though. A nice blue or green would of been much better.
