Small red and blue plumbers jumping into its mouth of course! Great job!

Not that I want to start a large discussion over this, but I find Sandy's suggestion unnecessarily complex as well. Why can't 1 turn actually mean 1 turn and not something else? I think turn and round are 2 different things and if it says turn in the rules it should be turn and not round.

Happy Birthday Screambob Clonepants (that's my favourite of your many different screen names )!

Finally Maurice could step into the Training Room at the Heroica Hall. He had just bidden farewell to High Priestess Alisameth at the Temple of Ennoc where he had gone to say his prayers and meet with the head of the Paladin Order. The High Priestess had given him her blessing and wished him luck, and in a sense Maurice was already part of the Paladin Order again by now. The training that was to be done here with the veteran Copper Fox was just the final steps on the path that would lead the cleric to his new class. Dressed in his new white cloak, together with the dark blue cape that symbolized his position in the Order, Maurice Ratibor walked up to the training master and spoke: "Sir Copper Fox, I wish to proceed my career in Heroica as a Paladin. To fight for what is good and right in the dark and evil world of today. To aid those in need and heal the wounded. To bring light to the corruption of the city and to let the Righteous one reveal and judge all of those who challenge these ideals." Maurice Ratibor (Etzel) 51 years old male human Paladin Level 18.5 Power: 30 (18 + 12) Defense: 5 (5) Health: 41/41 (9 + 17 + 11 + 1 + 3) Ether: 23/23 (5 + 1 + 17) Gold: 194 Equipment: (Manta Tail Staff (WP:12+50% Stun chance), Fauxthril Shield with Paladin emblem (SP:5), Helmet (+1 max. health)), White Cloak (Max. Health +3) Inventory: (Emerald Staff (WP:10 Wood-elemental), Mace (WP:5), Diamond, Scroll of Sleep, 3 Potions, 2 Tonics, 2 Ether Cores, 3 Remedies, 3 Phoenix Essences, 2 Nostrums, 2 Venom, Elixir, Floral Bomb, Water Bomb, 2 Fire Bombs, Torch, Bone)

Maurice carefully examined the wares in Fabian's Fabulous Fashion store. The Paladin armour is really tempting to him but also quite expensive. The white cloak on the other hand was very affordable, and really dashing as well. "Since my last white cloak got so soiled during the last quest I think I will invest in this new and better one. I'll buy a White Cloak for 60 gold." Maurice throws away his old and stained cloak and puts on his new one. "Hey, this makes me feel much better! I guess the old one must have been infected by vermin or something, draining my health in some way." Over at Anwyl's smithy Maurice picks up a Fauxthril Shield (WP:5) for 50 gold. "This will be good for protection later on, I just hope I haven't forgotten how to use it since my days in the Battalion." Finally, at Portia's Potion Shack, Maurice picks up some essential brews: 2 Remedies and 2 Nostrums (2x10+2x35=90). That ends the cleric's shopping for today. A total of 200 gold was spent: 60+50+90=200, 394-200=194 Maurice Ratibor (Etzel) 51 years old male human Cleric Level 18.5 Power: 30 (18 + 12) Health: 30/30 (9 + 17 + 1 + 3) Ether: 22/22 (5 + 17) Gold: 194 Equipment: (Manta Tail Staff (WP:12+50% Stun chance), Helmet (+1 max. health)), White Cloak (Max. While sitting by himself at the bar, Maurice saw how the normal Heroica life was passing by. New heroes were joining, quests were announced and signed by eager adventurers. He realized that all this was familiar to him and gradually his memories and senses returned to him. Finally Maurice had a clear view of the situation, he could feel how all the recent events had not only been troublesome, but also given him useful lessons on life. In the two latest quests he had been shown how so-called-heroes put their own best in front of the good and righteous, and even if he had tried he hadn't been able to make things right. Heroica seemed just as corrupted and dirty as the houses of Eubric to the cleric by now. But he could not leave the organization just yet, there were important tasks still at hand and by staying on the inside he would have better opportunity to make a difference for the better. His encounter with the mage filled with darkness down in Mistaria had shown him that there was hope for change in almost everyone (although that barbaric Eric was probably beyond all hope since long ago). New times were coming, for Maurice, for Heroica and for Eubric. "I'll better go prepare for my meeting with the High Priestess. A trip to the marketplace would be in order." thought Maurice and went out the Hall's great doors.

Well, Swedish and Danish is very closely related so if you learn one of them good you will be able to understand much of the other (+ Norwegian) as well. I say go with Swedish, not only is it spoken by more people, but it is easier to learn as well. Danish children learn their language last of all European children because Danish has so weird pronunciations. Danish might be a tiny bit more closely related to English then Swedish, but I don't think it's a significant difference.

A winning team! I got lots to catch up on, but I hope to be able to host a quest pretty soon too. One that I've had in plan since February...

One of the doors to the Heroica Hall opened and a familiar pale faced cleric stepped in followed by another sad figure. Ratabor Mossycloak knocked his staff into the floor to get the attention of the present heroes: "Does anyone recognize this fellow here? I found him rambling around down at the docks looking very disoriented and mumbling about badgers. He said something about being a cleric in Heroica too so I brought him here, even if he doesn't seem to be quite clear in his head yet. Maybe he will come back to his senses if he gets to be in a familiar place for a while." The man in the dirty robes took some steps forward and looked around in the Hall. It did seem like he had been here before because he soon made his way up to the bar for a drink.

Nah, looks like the gladuis that was first found with the Gladiator in CM Series 5. But the quality of the pictures isn't exactly making it easy to judge such things.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Etzel replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Looks like a nice series. Not one of the best I think, but it's hard to fail with these so I'm happy. I had hoped that the Conquistador would have a silver or grey coloured helmet, that would have been much more useful (and realistic) then gold. But it's still a great minifig, one of my favourites. I also really like the Shakespearian Actor, probably the best of this series, and the Diver is also top ranked. The robot and the alien I could do without, not that interesting, but I will still get one of each of course. -
I need that pretzel! and the rest of the set too, it looks great!

Heroica RPG - Quest #27: Badger Badger Badger

Heroica RPG - Quest #27: Badger Badger Badger

"Right, I'm on it!" Maurice uses his remedy on Tesni while suddenly he is feeling much more aware of his actions then before. "Hm, that's a strange feeling. Almost like I've grown a consciousness just like that. I wonder what could have..." Maurice gets a strange look in his eyes for a short moment but then returns to his absent minded state. -
Hm yeah, I guess I was a bit timid in creating this class, I didn't want to make the QMs job too hard. The addition of reviving fallen allies and removing negative statuses to the SHIELD skill might be a good idea. Then it would be the same as the Druid's SHIELD, but with the Blessed effect too, right? I'm not sure how to include the Preaching trait into the battle in a good way, I think it will be a bit too much to have in mind for the QM. I think of the Preaching as an out-of-battle advantage that can indirectly give advantages in the battles, like having NPCs on the party's side or Encouraged effects to the party. The healing + blessed effect could certainly be given to all levels of healing, that was just me being afraid of overpowering them, no objections there.

Here is my suggestion for an Expert Class tied to the Paladin Order: Priest of Ennoc The Righteous Light shines upon these blessed followers who have devoted their time to nurture their faith in Ennoc. Health and Ether Bonuses: Not known yet. Weapons: Staffs, wands, rods, preferably non-elemental (except light-elemental). Job trait: Healing (see Cleric), Preaching - By spreading the faith of Ennoc, at the cost of 1 ether, the priest can get other people (NPCs) to do their bidding (only applicable on followers of Ennoc), Blessed - The priest has thanks to his/her faith in Ennoc a permanent Blessed effect. Battle style: Sacred - the priests are aided by Ennoc's divine powers. 1. SHIELD: Blessings - The Priest heals everyone in the party back to full health and gives the the Blessed effect for the rest of the battle. This does not deplete ether. 2. CRITICAL HIT/HEAL MORE: The Priest attacks the target with strength equal to two times the weapon power added to their level. Alternatively the Priest can use 1 ether to heal themselves or one of their allies + give them the Blessed effect, with the strength equal to their critical hit. (e.g. WP3x2 + level 2 = 8 damage or restore 8 health) 3. HIT/HEAL: The Priest attack the target with strength equal to the weapon power added to their level. Alternatively the Priest can use 1 ether to heal themselves or one of their allies with the strength equal to their hit. (e.g. WP3 + level 2 = 5 damage or restore 5 health) 4. MISS/HEAL LESS: The Priest's attack misses. Alternatively the Priest can use 1 ether to heal themselves or one of their allies with the strength equal to their weapon power. 5. DAMAGE/NO HEAL: The Priest is struck by the opponent's attack. Alternatively, any attempt of healing fails. 6. SPECIAL GUARD/NO HEAL: The Priest has a 50/50 chance to be protected from any negative effect caused by the opponent's special skill. Alternatively, any attempt of healing fails. The Priest is basically an upgraded Cleric, but with more bonuses tied to their faithfulness. The three job traits, healing, preaching and blessed are meant to compensates for their not so exciting battle style. The effects of Preaching is mostly up to the QMs; it could work like Diplomacy to convince NPCs to aid the party, make like-minded NPCs join the party, encourage the party before a battle, etc. Just like the Cleric, the Priest is a supporting player that doesn't have any great offensive actions. But with the help of the blessed effect and healing he/she will make sure the party can last during long and hard battles. The Priest of Ennoc Expert Class can be obtained after you've reached level 30 and you've completed a quest hosted by the Paladin Order, like Quest #16. I plan to host a second one later this summer (July/August probably) and if anyone else wants to host one feel free to do so. I have made up some more background story for the Order apart from what is presented in the Library, e.g. how it's organized and where in the world you can find them etc. so please contact me if you would like to use that (but I won't be very active the coming 2 months so it might take a few days before I answer).

Maurice squints at the linens as well, but can't really make out how the first mate can call them "clean". Well, could've been worse, he thinks. "I wouldn't mind spending some more time on deck in the fresh air, some fishing might be a nice relaxing thing to do." -
Oh, it's from 10193 Medieval Market Village, the best LEGO set ever made! I tried earlier today but couldn't get it without the clues, nice one Holodoc.

Maybe "priest" is just a code name for that. In my mind I've thought of the Paladins as the fighting force of the Order, so opening up the possibility to advance on the more sacral path too could be interesting. I'll get back with a more detailed pitch.
