  1. Collectable Minigure Display Cases Officially Licensed Products On Amazon.com - not officially endorsed by LEGO Happened across these looking for ways to display my mini figures. http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Minifigure-Display-Case-Minifigures/dp/B004EHLRLG http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Minifigure-Display-Holds-Minifigures/dp/B004EHN7I2 Are these legit/licensed, or fan made? $19.99 is pricey, but they are kind of cool...
  2. Can't wait for Series 3, this may be my favorite yet! The Elf is all kinds of awesome.
  3. I'm looking for someone willing to make me a small handful of custom minifig torsos. I have artwork (eps) that I'd like to use as a t-shirt for a minifig. I'll supply that. Looking for someone willing to take that art and use it for a custom minifig wearing a tshirt. I'm thinking I want ten initially, but depends on price. PM me if you can help.
  4. Entertainment Earth is now preselling 10 packs of Series 2: http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=LG8684AAA With Series 1 they sold singles ($4 each) 10 packs ($30, so $3 each) and full cases ($120). Hopefully they'll do the same for Series 2. If they do, Im definitely going through them for a case. I've always had fantastic luck with Entertainment Earth. EDIT: Ugh. They just posted the series 2 full case, and they're most definitely not the $120 they charged for series 1. Price is $165. Guess I'll hold off and hope some other site lists them at $120.
  5. I have a "sort of" request - I have the art I'd like to use on a decal, and if I can be directed to a minifig torso template (preferably in an Adobe Illustrator compatible format), I can put my art into the template. Where I need help is finding someone willing to put these on decal paper, either clear sticky paper or water transfer paper. I'm willing to pay for that service, and would also pay for anyone willing to put them on torsos too. PM me if you want to help me out. Apologies if this isn't quite an appropriate request for here.
  6. What a great set. I'll have to go back and try to get the toy shop. My folks got one on a lark, I may have to see if they'll sell it.
  7. Doesn't seem like it's much of a rumor anymore... $75 is insane. Wow.
  8. Where'd you see the $75 price?
  9. http://www.starwars.com/vault/collecting/lego_cubedudes/index.html Interesting. I'd love to get a set but sounds like it will be nigh impossible. Not a big fan of the prequel stuff so Im more looking forward to the Empire Strikes Back set. Wonder if these would ever see a mainstream release?
  10. Has LEGO said anything about previewing series 3 and beyond at San Diego Comic Con this year? They're exhibiting, it'd seem like a no brainer to do so. I'd be more surprised if they didn't, actually.
  11. I have a LEGO Market Street set, it is complete with everything accounted for, and assembled. You may remember me posting this a while back, and I said I didnt have instructions. Well, during my move, they turned up. No box though. I'm also throwing in 8 random town minifigs just for kicks, built from modern (post-2006ish) sets. This seems to be selling in the high $200s low $300s. Here's what I'm after: A new Grand Emporium (10211) and the new Shuttle Adventure (10213). That's $250 in trade value. I am willing to negotiate, haggle, consider offers, etc. PM me if you'd like to work something out. I have a solid history on eBay and have dealt positively here a few times. I've completed 9/9 transactions positively on Bricklink (under loweac). Due to the pricey nature of these items, I am willing to do this: I'll ship my set at the same time you ship the Grand Emporium, and you can ship the Shuttle Adventure after you receive the Market Street. Similarly, you can ship from LEGO direct to me to save on double shipping costs, if you like. Like I said, I'm open to discussing it and hashing out an equitable plan. On a side note: I'm still looking for Minifigures Series 1 - the Robot. I have the others or have them lined up in trade. I'd prefer to seal in the US if possible (sorry, my area post offices just make it a hassle to ship internationally). But, if you have a friend in the US that's willing to accept a shipment for you, I am willing to ship there. Also willing to sell: $250 plus shipping.
  12. I am looking for: 1 Cheerleader (Now pending trade) 1 Skater (Now pending trade) 1 Robot (Now pending Bricklink purchase) 1 Sealed Mini (anything) (Now pending trade) 1 display box in good condition, preferably unpunched/undisplayed (Now pending Bricklink purchase) I have: 2 Clowns (1 now pending trade) 2 Crash Test Dummies 2 Magicians 2 Ninjas 3 Astronauts 2 Forest Men (Both now pending trade) 2 Scuba Divers 5 Cowboys Willing to consider trading multiple figures for anything on my needs list, and will buy figures too. PM me or email me at aclowe@tds.net. I'm in the US. Also willing to purchase.
  13. I'd like to buy one of the cases that the Minifigures came in. As mint as possible, unused. While there are some figures I still need, Im waiting on a couple of orders to come in first. Just the box, nothing else. Can be collapsed down for shipping if necessary, and if it doesn't damage the box. Please PM me or email me at aclowe@tds.net. Note, I'm going to be offline for a short while, so may not be able to reply until around Saturday, June 26thish.
  14. Are there any trusted online retailers still selling 60 ct sealed boxes for a decent price? As in $120-$130ish? I've seen a couple of sites that I do trust, but they've jacked the prices up to $250 and more.
  15. Hey everyone! So I've been here a while, and that obviously means I'm a big fan of LEGO. I'm also a graphic designer and branding manager for a non-profit organization based in Indianapolis, IN. We work with youth who have mental, emotional and behavioral challenges. Part of what we do is work to get kids out of institutional care and back into their homes with their families. I met with one of our program directors yesterday, and we were brainstorming ideas on how to get staff involved and working as a team, sharing in eachother's success. He suggested we get some LEGO bricks and start a "3D Bar Graph" and each time we get, say, 10 kids, we add another level to the LEGO bar graph, basically building a tower. That lead me to an idea of why don't we build a big LEGO skyscraper of some sort, that represents all of the institutionalized kids, and each time we sucessfully move a kid to a home, we remove a brick or layers of bricks, and build a little house next to the skyscraper, with the ultimate goal of not having a skyscraper anymore, but a village of little houses. Thoughts? Can any of you expert builders share some ideas on how we might accomplish this? Keeping in mind we 1) don't have any bricks right now and would have to buy some (LEGO digital designer might be a good way to do this? 2) want to do something for as little cost as possible (so, small skyscraper, small houses, fewer bricks). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated: ways to build tiny houses in brick form, pieces to represent people (i.e. microfigures? not necessarily the true LEGO game microfigures, but something tiny to represent people). Looking forward to your suggestions!
  16. Seems like the Market Street is going for a mint on eBay lately, and given the direction of the other buildings it just doesn't seem to fit into my collection. Would anyone be interested in a flat trade, my assembled, but complete, Market Street, for a new boxed Grand Emporium? The box is no longer around and I'm not sure on the instructions, I dont think they're still around either though. PM me if you want to work something out.
  17. So are you saying the parts are definitely not randomised, or both the parts and the figures themselves are definitely not randomized? First you said the figures are not randomised, but then you mentioned randomised parts so I wasn't sure which... i.e.: Case 1: You open a pack, it contains one complete mini figure with all its correct accessories, but before you opened the pack you didnt know which figure you were getting Case 2: You open a pack, it contains one complete mini figure with all its correct accessories, and you knew beforehand which figure you were opening because the package was marked
  18. I have the Market Street set, assembled but with the instructions (no box). I've been watching these sell on eBay in the range of $160ish. I'm wondering if anyone out there would be interested in trading, when it is released, for the Grand Emporium? I'll throw in some extra towny mini figs too. PM me if you're interested.
  19. Love it! I would -so- buy sets likes this from LEGO if they did them. I love the display base.
  20. I think, and Im sure someone can correct me if Im wrong, that all of the Cafe Corner style modular buildings come with metallic grates? Or are you talking about a different piece?
  21. Happy happy, joy joy! This looks totally fabu, I cant wait. I really need to figure out a display for these. In the process of buying a house, and I may actually have space to put them out! I have the three modular buildings so far (I dont count Market Street in this "series"), but only one assembled. Hopefully I can come up with a display worthy of the coolness of these buildings.
  22. Vig. 57a Aside from the screaming face and extra skulls, everything is built from the new LEGO pirate sets.
  23. I'd be up for fantasy elements. As a matter of fact, I've already added five undead pirates (skellies with pirate hats) to my collection.
  24. I'd love to see elements of the Pirates line in LDD and Pick-a-Brick. I'd be building armies like crazy.
  25. I think Castle is pretty freaking awesome, but I love Pirates. I was way more into Pirates back when they first started (though I did enjoy Castle). That said, just comparing the modern iterations of the two lines with Castle how it started in 2007 and Pirates how it started this year, I think Castle is currently the superior line just because it has had time to build momentum and diversity. I love that Castle isn't just humans versus skeletons, but now humans and dwarves versus skeletons and trolls. The various "factions" adds a lot of fun. And they have a lot of great sets, especially the new Marketplace set coming soon. Part of why I didnt get into Castle this time around was I came to the game late, and didnt want to play catch-up with old sets. Im excited to get in with Pirates at the ground floor. I hope Pirates is a huge success, because I'd love to see it take some inspiration from Castle and increase the number of factions, as well as offer sets similar in scope to what Castle offers, like battle packs of Imperials and Pirates, and maybe an Imperial Port version set similar in scope to the Marketplace. I think it could be cool (and even cost effective for LEGO) to introduce Skeletons (or maybe "Undead" Pirates, bringing in LEGO zombies) to the line, maybe offering things like haunted islands and ghost ships. Maybe we could get some Colonials too. Same background as the Imperials, but the folks living in the towns, etc. Excited to see what future Pirates sets come to fruition.
