  1. I love it, especially the crows, pee, and the awesome cage/dead guy. Niceness.
  2. Wow. Just, wow. I love it, the tri-wing design, the hangar, all the Blacktroneyness. Amazing job.
  3. Amazing! I've never been a castle builder or fan, but I still like this a lot. The landscaping is great, but the house is even better. Awesome job.
  4. Bricklink is the way to go for any building project. You can find almost any piece from any country at some of the lowest prices on the internet, and it's usually got the lowest price for sets too. A good store with low prices and a wide inventory is Toy Brick Brigade, although there are hundreds of other good ones. Some tips: 1) After searching, press "show more filter options", then you can select your minimum quantity, the country you live in, and in what order it displays your parts. 2) If you want a certain part but you're not sure what it's called, see if you can think of a set that comes in. Then go to Peeron.com and search for that set. Once you find it, look at the inventory for that set (pictures), and once you find the part click on it to go to it's inventory page. It will show the part name and part number, and you can put in the name or number on Bricklink to find that part (usually, sometimes the name is different). 3) Try to get all the stuff you need for a project at one store, to save on shipping costs and simplify things. 4) Don't be intimidated by Bricklink's apparent complicated-ness, after a while of using it it's really easy. I personally don't like eBay that much for parts, but then again I've never really needed pirate stuff.
  5. Yes. The TG-9 Moonbase Hover truck is the one Truck for all your light cargo hauling needs. With 4 x 8 capacity, 3500hp, and a max flight ceiling of 1 mile, it'll get the job done and the cargo there. I built this little Hover Truck specifically to be able to carry two of these little 4 by 4 modular cargo platform thingies. It actually turned out better than I expected, so I snapped a few pics. My personal favorite part is the whole front, it looks spacey and it was a lot of fun to build. Here it is seen carrying two ammunition cases. Side view. The little 1 x 1 round plate is the refueling port. This is the cockpit. It can fit one pilot inside with room for a small container to spare. I would have put two gray cheese on the front of that canopy piece, but I couldn't find a way to attach them without completely re-doing the front bumper, and I didn't want to use glue. A rear view. The two round engine pieces don't work too well, but they're ok. Most of the propulsion comes from the hover-thingies on the bottom anyway. These are the modular cargo things I was talking about. I was in home depot one day buying soder, and I saw one of these things on a fork lift. Immediately, I knew what to do with all those dark orange 1x4s from BrickCon. They're made out of four 1 by 4 dark orange plates, and they have 2 layers of indents in the bottom. The back of the truck has tiles built inversely to these indents, so the cargo platforms fit snugly in there. That's all, folks! -King Kahuka/Dr. X
  6. Nice orginazation. I've got a collection about as big as Eilif's maybe even large, but only about a third of it is sorted, since I've had it even since I was 3 and never even thought about sorting until I got involved online. What I am planning to do is first sort 85% (the rest is for friends who are visiting and want to build with a random box) by color, and after that's all done, go separating them by size. I would separate them by piece type, but I don't have enough space or containers. Right now about 1/3 of my collection is sorted by color. I've also got a bunch of "tiny boxes", all filled with pieces smaller than a 1x2 brick. I've also got a minifig box, an animal box, a couple of tackle boxes with greebles, clips, printed tiles, turntables, bedy pieces, and things like that in them, and also a bunch of binders full of instruction booklets organized by theme. My next step is to keep dumping out random boxes and sorting them by color, while removing useful pieces and other stuff. I envy your amount of space, Eilif. Good luck to your sorting.
  7. I saw this on TBB, but I can't find a way to get a big enough image so I can read the words. Bah.
  8. I am making a Samurai, and say this knight on Mocpages, and I am slightly confused about how you go about drybrushing. Could someone give me a step-by-step? I have bronze metallic paint, a couple of katanas that I need to drybrush, and some brushes. Do you put on the paint with one brush and brush it again with a dry brush? (for me this just smears the paint completely off) Do you let it dry a bit and THEN brush it with a dry brush? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! -X
  9. I am looking for any of the .....
