  1. Very nice review, you made me want to go out and buy it, even though I've always HATED Mars Mission! Great job.
  2. The XF-91 'Boartooth' is the Jackrabbit's big brother. At the cost of a bit of agility it gains a lot in firepower, with four missile tubes under the fuselage, two photon torpedo mounts, and two V9-M heavy laser cannons. While it may not be as pretty or cute as the Jackrabbit, it remains extremely effective and menacing in combat. I built this ship because I felt like it. I know the dark gray area is a bit lumpy, but there's a bunch of offsets and gaps in the frame so it was hard to even get this far. *Apologizes for mixing gray and bley* The overhanging tooth on the nose is where this fighter gets it's nickname from. Top view. This time, a minifig can fit nice and snug in the cockpit. That's all, folks! What do you think of it? -Dr. X
  3. One word: Awesomesauce.
  4. Unintentional pun FTW! And nice MOC by the way. I wonder what the expression on the teacher's face was when you gave it to her!
  5. Thanks for the comments guys! And what set is it? Can you remember what it looks like?
  6. The XR-74 'Jackrabbit' is a light fighter intended for capital ship protection and interception. Armament includes two small V8-S Laser Cannons under each wing. After seeing countless SNOTty starfighters coming out from nnenn, Gambort, and countless others, I decided to make one. Here is my attempt, called the Jackrabbit because of the sort of ear-shaped stabilizers (check the other pics for a better angle on these). It was good fun trying to get the wings slanted in line with the canopy when building it. Yes, I know the engine isn't much. I can never think of a really good idea, so I just slap on some circular things and some trans. Top view. It may not seem like it, but a minifig can squeeze in sideways. It just looks ridiculous. That's all, folks! Whaddya think? -Dr. X
  7. Star Wars. Hands-down.
  8. Very nice! It could use some improvements, but I think it's a cool vignette already.
  9. Going.. going... gone. This will be my last thing that goes for a bit, since I'm running out of greebley parts and need to do some sorting. You partly can't see it because of the white on white, but there is a rubber band belt drive. The bipod is the handlebars, by the way. The whole rear assembly has shock absorbers, and same with the front wheel. That's all, folks! -Dr. X
  10. Very nice fighter! Reminds me of a gray Starfox Arwing. And I think young skilled MOCers are actually becoming more and more common in the AFOL community, it's no surprise to me when I see a builder younger than like 16 with a superb MOC. It would surprise me if anyone younger then, say, 10 or 11 was a quality, mature builder, though.
  11. Sweet review, 'specially for a first, and the set looks awesome. Best engagement gift EVAR.
  12. Thanks for the comments guys! And yes, I do enjoy building little motorcycle... things.
  13. It goes. What else is there to say? I built this when I was just fooling around with a bunch of tiny pieces, and wanted to build something that goes, with a rubber band as a belt drive. Another one, built using BA monopods as a basis for a lot of the frame. I personally love the metallic silver monopods as exhaust pipes. There is a total of eight monopods in the thing. That's all, folks!
  14. Very cool. I love the 2x2s as a slope shape, and the lettering and stickering is very well done.
  15. Yay! Even though I've seen this before, and in person too, it's still awesome in all it's strange surrealness. And welcome to EB. I'm surprised you weren't here already.
  16. Fantastic job, I've never seen any BSG but this is still sweet.
  17. Check'd mine today. Nothing. TRU might have it, but meh, it's fifty bucks. I somehow imagined it to be a twenty or thirty-dollar set... I know it's 592 pieces, and would be $59.20 by normal Lego pricing standards, but fifty dollars for something that big is kinda... mebbe. I'll probably wait until a good oppertunity pops up to buy it.
  18. They're $14.99 here in the US, but recently they went on sale for #8.99, and I got 4 of them. But yeah, Amazon sounds like the best option for your.
  19. Aww, it's cute! It almost looks like a little beetle. Very cool, and I like the color scheme.
  20. Wow, that was awesome. I love all the moving stuff.
  21. Nice find, that's funny. Hehe.

    3 Robot Mechs

Those are wicked, I LOVE the yellow and gray ones. These certainly look much, much better than the spindly robots in the official line. Nice job.
  23. Nice sorting. I use tackle boxes a lot too, they're great for everything small like greebles, printed tiles, control panels, etc. After I saw this thread, I decided to start sorting again, but this time I made a few new drawers called "small red", "small gray", "small black", "small yellow", and... you get the point. I've also taken all my currently sorted by color bricks and have started putting them in their respective "normal" and "small" containers. And I really want some of those drawers, they look nice. I might even go to target today.
  24. Thanks guys! And yeah, the sides on the back are a bit plain, but meh.
