Howdy, it has been a while, but I finally have my internet working in my new home, so I can join in on the action at last. My lego collection is still in storage, so I won't be able to contribute for the coming weeks, but I will be able to look at your builds. I really like the commuity builds, a very good idea and I have some ideas allready in building a section myself. Also the design a 5th guild is a great challenge and I hope I can compete in that one aswell. And cool new members, very nice sigfigs!

Thanks for the link Z, one amazing dragon it is. I started building on my first draft for the elemental: At first I wanted to do a fire elemental, because I had some really cool fire action/damage in mind, but then I realized I don't really have right parts in red/orange/yellow etc. And since I allready did a air/ice dragon in Challenge 3, I decided to try an earth elemental. Points I still need to improve are the arms and hands, his feet and I want to try to make the face smoother. I had Legohaulic's perfect werewolf in mind when I built this, so some of the things in it are very inspired by him. I gave him a necklace with a green gem to represent the earth crystal (maybe a weak spot, with which the heroes can kill him with?) I also imagined that maybe I could take away the legs and let it come out of the ground directly in the action scene so his lower half of his body is made of pure rock? Just thinking out loud... What do you guys think of it? This was mainly build to understand some connections and get used to make brickbuilt elementals/creatures, so it is more of a concept. Any C&C is very much welcome!

Yeah I bought the urukhai army set for 32 euro and the orc forge for 40, which i thought wasn't that expensive. That elrond fig looks awesome btw! Especially the elven blade, I've been waiting for such a blade for a very long time. And it seems that we finally get a black haired elf cut.

I really hope that the lotr theme is gonna be like the starwars theme, in terms of length and continuation. So many things I would like to see legofied, especially the witch king (with fell beast please ) and if there are going to be battlepacks, I would like to see a haradrim/men of the east battlepack. The ones entering the black gate in the movies are awesome.

Great tower once again! I imagine every big city in Mitgardia has this kind of defences it will be hard for the elementals to destroy the north! You really set the wall/tower design standard eccles. Great job on that

Orange-Leader, I just ordered my first lots lego set from marktplaats.nl (dutch ebay, don't know if its against some forum rule to add a site? Please tell me if so, I will delete it right away..). The retailer said it should arrive thursday. I can pm you his details if you like? He seems legit, has a kvk number and you can also pick up the sets if you like (I live too far away, otherwise I was going to get them myself). I paid 38 euro for an urukhai army set, which isn't that expensive I thought and he has all the sets except weather top.

Yeah me too, I've been building with Lego for quite a while, but taking pictures of it is relatively new to me, so I still have much to learn. But at the moment I'm in the middle of moving to an other apartment in which I will have a nice little room with lots of windows where I can build and hopefully take some good pictures. And a new camera is on his way, so thats a great improvement as well. Haha nice! Thanks for the comments everyone.

I've just ordered my first lotr Lego set and should arrive thursday I can't wait, it's the urukhai army, which has great minifigs for goh uses. Sweet

Yeah thats one of the things I liked the most for this moc, trying to put together as much sigfigs I could without making it to forced. Next moc I might try to use other sigfigs from other guilds as well. Thanks for the comments!

My latest free build and also my biggest moc I probably ever made. At the northern foot of the Pikesteel mountains lies Pikesteel Village, a small village with a lot of commerce because two major Mitgardian trade routes run right through it and also because of Marcus, the master blacksmith. He is famed for his unique style of creating Vanadium folded weaponry and other crafts. What makes his Vanadium steel unique is that he folds multiple layers on top of each other (the more, the stronger) to create the best type of Vanadium steel. Even the dwarves envy him because of his skills as a blacksmith and take internships at his famed Damast-forge. Because Pikesteel Village lies in the most northern part of MItgardia, the protection is mainly governed by the Mitgardian Rangers. Captain Virgil, the Wolf of the North, (My sigfig) is one of the eastern captains of the Rangers and this city's Governor. Under his lead, a small City Guard was formed, lead by the elf Ranulf. Pikesteel Village not only holds Marcus' forge, also a small market area, several houses, a small slums area, the Drunken Mummy (a Kaliphlin tavern) and a statue dedicated to the great hero Ivar Pikesteel. Two overview shots. Marcus' Damast-forge. Marcus is talking to some dwarves who most probably want to know his secret. And who's the lucky guy holding up a Vanadium folded chopping axe on the right? Looks like Mitgardian's favourite lumberjack and one of his companions (probably sick of envy because of the great axe Steen just bought, its almost like his saying: Hey let me hold it too!). The busy Market area. There is a stand where you can buy the best Avalonian flowers and greenery, one with exotic Kaliphlin goods and trinkets and one with meat and apples from the Mitgardian fields. Looks a bit like a scam. And lord Jakon is falling right into it so it seems The Kaliphlin stand. Potions, treasure maps, you name it. (I don't know why, but I started to use my fleshies as Kaliphlins and I kinda like it. Its probably a tan...) Rucorder and Cara talking to some werewolves from Nocturnus. (sorry about the hair, guess you two needed a hairdo nonetheless.) Outside of the Drunken Mummy. An orc and some guy smoking outside of the pub (No smoking inside!) and two travelers paying their respect to the great hero Ivar Pikesteel. Close up of the statue of Ivar. Inside the Drunken Mummy. Interiors are not my best qualities. As is photographing... Moving on upstairs. Two mercenaries without jobs just chillin'. And Rucorder's Colloseum champion shouting random things. That's just the way he is, I guess. Two Ranger Captains talking to an important Kaliphlin mummy. On top of the stairs stands Ranulf, the city guard commander and one of his men. The ballista used by the city guard for defence. Slums area with a rich magistrate wondering through it. Not a smart move when you're rich. Not a smart move at all! Assassins? Or just plain muggers? Sir Glorfindel and Trian Buress, what a rare sight, two such great members of their own guilds in one picture. I guess Sir Trian was on a vacation under company of his own squire and a veteran member of the Flight of Dragons. And here we see sir Virgil with his two companions Kieran and Lola meeting with sir Elon Chorian, the mighty Hersir of Valholl. Elon is accompanied by a Green Dragon, an elite member of the Hersirguarde. A few of the Rangers. From left to right: Bahl, Lola, Virgil, Kieran, Adam and Abel. Virgil, Adam and Abel are brothers. And the famed city guard. I hope you guys like it! It took me quite a while to build, not only because of the size, but also because of my very limited time at the moment. I also had a lot of fun putting in other members' sigfigs, but unfortuantly I didn't have all the right equipment/hair so I'm sorry if some things are not correct with your sigfig.

I just finished taking pictures of my latest free build, but I can't upload them untill tomorow and allready have an idea for a next story. I also would like to build a tower/wall Eccles'-style So many ideas, so little time :(

Wow what a great gate! You really set the standard for Mitgardian architecture with your builds, I really like it! The action figures the boy is using is a Nice touch. Just one question: Did Elon had a lot of different ladyfriends back in the days? Because of the difference between his sons... Or is it just "coincedence"...?

Yea I also think the walls should be a little bit higher. That was one of the great things in Eccles' build imo. It is going to be the main line of defense if one of those pesky elementals will ever reach our mighty capital.

I do agree that we should use eccles' tower as a standard, I would love to build similiar walls/towers etc. Unfortunatly I don't have a lot of time at the moment and I'm still working on a freebuild of my own. But after that I will try to contribute a piece of the wall of Valholl.

Offcourse! All you need is a small backstory and an introduction of your sigfig! A picture of him/her would also be nice. Cool to have a new member

Hersbrucker; what is the name of your leader of werewolves? I am working on a story with mocs about another clan of creatures in Mitgardia and I wouldwould like to use your werewolves in the story. If thats okay with you offcourse!

Yeah I had a little brainfart 'cause I thought it was only new in europe, but when I checked I noticed that it was also a new theme for the USA the cheapest on bricklink is 13 dollar which I think is way too expensive, I can better save some more and buy the castle later. It is a very cool theme tho'!

What would it cost to send some lotr sets (say two uruk armies) to europe? I really have no idea what the shipping fares would be. If it would be around 40/50 dollars or less, it would be very affordable.

I have made a dragon for CH3 in the guilds: But for dragons you should probably use Stormbringer's or this one. Both inspired me to build my dragon.
