Actually technology is heading towards smart cars that drive themselves...though I don't believe that they will ever fully take over, humans are just too focused on having control to give up the freedom of driving. As for the HUD...it would still be rather disorienting, there's something to be said for being there, as opposed to seeing something on a screen at a different angle than what's on the screen. As for 20 years, people always over-estimate how fast technology here can develop :-P

It's a rectangle stuck on a cylinder, with another cylinder popping out. I don't think it's "too realistic', in fact I wish it were moreso. At least the SW blasters have SOME detail in them... As for being "too realistic for Lego", which is what your topic implied but contradicted by the body, I wouldn't think so. People have used cones as guns since they were introduced. It's not as if suddenly violence comes into lego now with guns, it just looks nicer ;-) And with all the things kids see on TV, and the videogames out there, Lego guns are not going to have an impact.

As for the comment about "god help" anyone who asked a question that has already been answered, I find that more often than not, the fact that it's been brought up is mentioned, a link is provided for further discussion, and the topic is closed...people aren't usually yelled at for asking something that's been mentioned before, just asking something that has been asked a thousand times...

This is an amazingly impressive set! Thanks for the review :-) I have to say my favorite feature is...the fact that the truck has "side-view mirrors" :-D It just makes it look sooooo much better! Everything is great though! Great figs, great ship, great dock! I just wish there were a few new heads, but you can't have everything ;-)

How can it be UCS? Wasn't it stated in the SW thread to have the same number of pieces as the last AT-AT, and 4 figs? Kinda points to system-scale. They may just call it UCS though...eh, who knows.

I'm pretty sure it's just a white helmet with white goggles, like the Han Solo from a few years back
