Brilliant review! You're really making me jealous :'-) I love those dark green plants too. Also, is the golden sword truly a slightly deeper gold than the last one from KK1? I love all those figs, and am completely taken by the new helms. Great review!

Well, I have to say I actually dislike the amount of story even MM or the new castle have. In the old days things were simple. Blacktron/wolfpack were the theives. Everyone else was the good guy. You could make certain branches fight, or ally against the enemy. You were in complete control! They really need to stop giving in to the "I don't know what to do with this because there's no comic in the back of the instructions!" mentality. Also, the fact mentioned earlier about a parent building the set for the kid certainly goes against the impression I've gotten lately of parents not caring enough to spend time with their children, though perhaps that was the exception. To be honest though, I don't know which disappoints me more :-/ Frankly I hope they would drop the MM series and go with ANOTHER space theme. Similarly, I would love to see castle start again with human factions, however I'd rather them just add more human factions to the current theme. Also, I'm curious about what will replace aquaraiders.

I'm trying to find a certain castle blueandwhite, maybe you can help. I was actually looking for it for this thread but I can't seem to remember the name or the creator. It was huge, taking up many, many baseplates. It had an entire underground section with a black crypt. On top of that they had a cliff that was filled with flowers. It was one of the most impressive, at least in terms of size!

Hendrik, they're talking about this set, one of our own members was lucky enough to get his hands on one. They were raffled off at CIV, Celebration IV (a Star Wars convention).

Well I live on the island, so the NY TRU is just a train hop away...however it's such a hassle! Might be worth it but...you think they might get a slightly higher rate than say, my local TRU (which also gets a decent turnover rate). I wonder if they give priority on these things

Great design! It has a nice blend of yellow, white, black, and dark bley. The shape is also unique, something not easy to do these days. I also love that cockpit, I keep seeing that windscreen in all these space MOCs but have no idea where that part came from! As for the wings, I think they could be beefed up a bit. As it is now they're sorta lacking a bit. It looks kinda thrown on, and while it goes great with the rest of it color-wise, I'm sure you can make it really stand out there. Maybe throw some missile pods on there, of directional thrusters. Hell, even a sensor package isn't out of the realm of possibility. Similarly there are a lot of studs left open, and while you know I have no problem with studs on their own, it clashes with the theme of the ship, which seems to be smooth lines and curves. Also, maybe make the tiles in front of those engine-fins white too, the lone white fins seem just a bit too thrown on there. I know this is still a WIP though, so I don't know how many of the issues I mentioned are being fixed for the final run, but I just thought I'd throw my two cents on to this great fighter. It looks so fun to swoosh *wub* I can't wait to see the final product! Oh, and also on a ship this size some landing gear would fit

Thanks for the link, supernova. Yeah, that was in this thread. If that's true, I don't feel so bad for not having bought the ILC before now, or the ISD if that even qualifies. This is really making me uneasy, I really would like a complete list of sets that are elegable, and to know how I know when it's safe to start buying them. I.e. if I buy an ILC next month, how will I know if it was old stock, or if it had a chance to get a chrome 3PO?

Well if you can, I'd appreciate that. so far everything I've heard has been from the CIV event in cali...which in retrospect I should've gone to (I like Star Wars as you can tell :-$ Two-for-one deal X-D )

It's always nice to have another asian member here :-) You mentioned you like army building, do you like to collect armies in castle, star wars, and a large town population, or are you focusing on just one? Also, for castle, which theme are you concentrating your army in? I hope you'll enjoy it around here

Er, he made a valid point, Piranha. You contradicted yourself in saying that 1. They're random 2. They're mostly in ILC If they're mostly in the ILC, they're not random. You can't get mad when someone points out a contradiction...especially when your information so far hasn't been exactly reliable... If you know something, say it. But it just seems like you will say something, and then just retcon it later if it proves to be wrong. Are you saying they'll mostly be in the ILC? Are you saying they're random? It's just confusing. Just calm down...

Thanks, but may I ask where you got that from? Lego themselves is not always extremely reliable...especially if they say that to increase sales of all their sets. I'm just asking because we've had previous confirmation of them only being in SOME of the Summer '07 sets, none of the January ones. Appreciate it

Yeah, I figured when I read in a bricklink thread that he bought two...I hope you're right, if they drop down (from $250US) to around $50US or so they'd be affordable enough for everyone to have a crack at. $100US is still kinda pushing it though :-/ I've seen people list rare parts at outrageous prices before (such as the red ghost) because they know that nobody would buy it, so it's a way of attracting attention to the store, and of course to boast |-/
