  1. I don't see that as threatening really though, it just looks like a dude in armor. But what's more scary than something unnatural? Though I do plan on trying to make it less blocky
  2. Well the legs are actually anatomically correct, the body is in proportion. As for the head, I guess that's just personal taste :-D Any suggestions?
  3. There are several stores who will do a blanket block for their stores, not allowing anyone with even one negative feedback to shop in their store, or even browse it *wacko*
  4. Is that chrome? It looks like metallic silver, and while I love that color, I love chrome more :'-(
  5. Wait, so now you like the original more, again? *wacko* :-D As for the wheels idea, I never really liked wheels on mecha 8-| Probably just me. It also wouldn't work well for urban assaults or anything other than a flat ground :-P I don't mind it being slow, but I do wonder what you think got worse from the first version? I'm glad for all the feedback, I want to see what I did that didn't work, what I can do to improve, and what was specifically wrong with my first MOC that I correctly fixed in this one.
  6. I guess you could try contacting an admin at BL. I recently ordered some things from Troy's BL shop. It took nearly a month to ship, and that was after three separate IGNORED attempts to contact him to see if my transaction was still in his records. For the record, I paid within an hour of receiving the invoice. It annoyed me just for the fact that my attempts to find out my status were left ignored. Eventually I got it, but the whole experience left me bitter about buying there. I left neutral feedback, which I probably shouldn't have, but it seemed the appropriate thing. He actually ended up leaving me positive feedback, which I was surprised about since most people are just tit-for-tat with these things. Honestly I don't know why sellers don't leave feedback as soon as they're paid, as the seller has fulfilled their obligations entirely...
  7. Jesus it says I closed it 8-
  8. I'm confused what you mean by adding a wheel? Unless that was just an expression saying to totally reinvent it :-D As for being slow and heavy, that's a part of it. It's heavily armored, so it really has no need to be very fast. You can't really have a huge amount of strength and speed as well, trying to overpower something makes it so unappealing to me :-P I'm sorry, I'm just confused about what you're suggesting?
  9. Well that's the thing...the legs didn't change at all from V1, so I'm unsure how they're too long now :-D As for the shield not covering them...it actually can. You see the shield is held on to the arm a-symmetrically, and can freely rotate about the 1x1 round plate it's held on by. When rotated 180 degrees it can cover the legs. As for the shoulders I've tried like a madman to find just that solution. I know there has to be one out there, hence why I said I'll probably keep rebuilding it ;-) Any ideas? Add any more, and the 'neck' starts to look wrong. so I'm stumped here...
  10. After some comments from classic-space, I decided to rework it to get the proportions better. Overall I love this so much more than the original, but as always I'm looking to improve. Comments and criticism welcome *sweet*
  11. I've been so out of it lately, but Happy Birthday! Hope it was a blast *sweet*
  12. Eh? It's the least realistic color they have besides reddish-brown :-D The thing is, they each have their uses. Bley is useful for spacey MOCs, as it looks slightly metallic. However old grey was useful for both rocks (stone) in castle MOCs as well as spacey MOCs. bley is limited to space, even though it looks slightly better. It just looks out of place in castle MOCs :-X So I voted both, as even though grey did both while bley can only do one genre, bley does that one genre better.
  13. Ouch, that was harsh :-D I've seen some crazy stuff like that, often people who have a BL page know more or less what things are worth, and either have something at a really low price in hopes people will buy that there, and the more expensive things as well to save on shipping, or they just do it to make their store stand out.
  14. Several of the stores there that are under $1US per fig are European...
  15. An ebay lot: Only $14 X-D
  16. Now I'm gonna close this. I don't want you to think we're strict or don't allow other sites to be mentioned: of course we do. We have no problem if you put your website in your sig, or even mention it. But you have a grand total of two posts here, and one of them is to advertise your site. That says to me that you're just here to get some free advertisement and not to be a part of the community, and that I can not and will not allow. This site isn't a billboard, and won't be used like one. Now if you want to join the community and be a part of it that would be fine, but I'd strongly urge you to rethink your motives for creating new topics. Thanks :-)
  17. Nice job on the monster, it really has that biological look with the tires. I do, however, wish more time was spent on the cathedral. I know it's not technically a part of the contest, but it does sort've set the tone for the MOC :-P It just looks thrown together. If you turned it all upside-down, would it stay together? Also it gets that feeling since it doesn't look realistically destroyed. Where are exposed support infrastructure? Even just broken pillars? Things like that, it currently looks like you had a neat little cathedral and let a 4-year-old run over it a few times :-D Great work on the monster though. The eyes are great.
  18. Yes it is, I can't find the link right now, but someone from the Minifig Customization Network was able to remove just the eyes (in order to replace with a custom decal) around a full beard. With a steady hand it can be very precise.
  19. Those :-D They've been used by AFOLs as greebs for spacey MOCs for awhile now, and it's interesting seeing them canabalize their own parts and use them in ways not previously done in 'legal' MOCs. Shows a lot more freedom and free-thinking
  20. So they're finally using turntable bases for greebs now? Awesome.
  21. :'-( I hate you
  22. Hi ajax, this site is really more of a community, not a bricklink ;-) If you'd like to introduce yourself to the community and become a part of it, you'd be more than welcome to post this here, however since this is your first post, I'll close this.
