  1. Mind if I ask what the usual discount for us might be? :-D
  2. Agreed, but it was a decent part...
  3. No, you're not! I'm not the least bit glad! The first definition was brilliant and they should live by it religiously. And what are these imaginary parts? Chrome scimitars come to mind ;)
  4. Ah, thanks Mr. Phes. The method works well to keep the thing snug, stable, and yet easy to separate if I want
  5. Could you give me an example of this? Gah, I wish I knew how to, I'm not that good at ASCii... well, I'll give it a try _______________ |._____________..| |.|........................|.| |.|........................|.| |.|........................|.| |.|____________|.| |______________.| So say the larger rectangle is the floor of the second story, the inner rectangle would be made of, say, 1x4 plates on the bottom of the second-story floor. Then, the top of the wall (covered in smooth plates of course!) could rest in the space between the larger and smaller rectangles. It actually results in a nice and snug fit that keeps the stories perfectly aligned, and sturdy. I'm sorry if I didn't explain it well, tell me if you understood that, and if you didn't I'll try a different way (I'm not that good at explaining things :/
  6. What also helps is to put a ring of 1xX plates two studs in, on the bottom of the floor above, so that they stories all stay in place and can't just slide off
  7. ...what? Airbender isn't anime, it's fake anime ;)
  8. I doubt anyone would have complained either, and I don't dislike the bleys persay, I just dislike the fact that they replaced a color with a similar, yet noticably different one. It makes it hader to organize your pieces, and well...I just dislike the change. If it was always blay, and always would be blay, I wouldn't have a problem.
  9. Wow, those are absolutely fantastic! I love how you were able to cover the rather colorful inside :-D And I love the cockpit! My favorite feature, however, has to be the opening for the missiles and bombs to come out
  10. I said I was from the US because I said "color" instead of "colour" ;)
  11. If they did, we wouldn't be stuck with bley, lower MF count, fewer colors (yes, I'm from the US), and lower piece-counts overall >_>
  12. Not as much as I was with the ISD >_>
  13. I guess the fact that they have the flesh-tone heads fall under that catagory? Meh...
  14. Yeesh, $300?! Well, it's very well done, good job :-D Sorry about the $300 though...think of all the lost Vikings!
  15. Someone just got phes' attention ;)
  16. Whoa, they announced batman will be skintone? ugh...
  17. Ah, I did love this ship, and I agree that they made it a bit TOO colorful, but I can see why they did. The red and yellow were for the sail, and the green to compliment the standard colors of the spanish lego pirate series (look at the uniforms!). Very nifty little set, but as you said, the cost-cutting was the beginning of the end for the old TLC.
  18. None...yet, just the CG preview
  19. Argh, YES >_< But I can cross my fingers and hope I at least get a useable fig or two out of this... ...oh god, it's gonna be peach-tone, isn't it? I know it's drawn, but it's a liscence There went my only viable use for the sets -_-
  20. well it WAS working, but I guess the folder was taken down or something
  21. The one with the ties :-D But seriously, the bluecoats were my favorites
  22. Name: Justin L. DeNise Age: 20 State: New York (thought I'd throw that in for good measure)
  23. For some reason when I tried to post in it, I was told that I don't have permission to post there. This was the research on "Are you American?" Could someone find out what's wrong? Thanks.
  24. That's exactly what I meant. The way they have it "standing" is just unnatural. Having it curvier, with maybe some joint/hinge for SOME movablility
  25. I'd say no. I'm PRETTY sure that hull was in some other pirate set, though I might be wrong. But overall the whole theme was poorly done, even for a parts pack. Sure, you get a few useful elements, but you'd do just as well if you had gotten a pirate ship for the same price. IIRC, that theme was pretty over-priced. Maybe some people liked it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Just my opinion of course ;)
