Actually, I did mention that I wasn't the creator of the first picture, and by the way I talked it was fairly clear I wasn't the creator of the second one either, and I don't usually see a link as well as a picture, but I'll mention the name of the person next time. And as for the light grey... http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=10145&c...&cn=96&d=18&t=7 Lots of grey in the "old" color

That's exactly the kind of thing I was thinking for the wings. Either that, or on top of a bridge for a space cruiser

The shot with the Ep2 clone troopers would make for an excellent caption contest :-D

Ahhhhh... But the problem is these US BrickLink stores only have one or two mini-figures, so if I wanted say 20 then I'd have to buy from about 5 differen't stores. So at $2 postage each thats an extra $10. Then to post these suckers from the USA costs another $10. Next is the problem of me not having a credit card, so I've got to purchase money orders which costs another $10... Not to mention it takes upto 4 weeks to get to the USA. It also takes another 4-6 weeks for parcels to be sent from the USA. Once upon a time I bought a Leopard Print Fez from the USA off eBay for $12. By the time I got it home it cost me $40 and was 8 weeks later. It was very kind of you to make such an offer Mr Starwars4J, but purchasing from the USA is so much of a headache when you're not a billionaire. Alright, I just figured that overall, the cheaper prices of the figures would outweigh the cost of shipping and money orders. If you ever need anything from the US, I'd be more than happy to help you out.

easier to obtain

Fantastic! I have to say that I love the interior of the castle, and how you were able to align everything to split apart like that. You made the opening style like that work very well.
-
Shipping inside the US would cost maybe $2, so you could order a few extra figs or parts you wanted, and then I could gather them up, and package them nice and tight (and as cheap as possible!) to ship out to you. It's still a huge savings, seeing as how the used "but still in VERY good condition" ones can be under two dollars (US)...

http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?viewFr...chSort=P&sz=100 Actually, a new one costs only US$5, unless you only order from Austrailian BL stores... Consider ordering from a bunch of US BL stores, having them ship to someone in the US, and having that person ship the figures to you for a nominal amount? I wouldn't mind, if you wanted.

That price is a little outlandish, especially considering they're not real conquistadors! Not even for 8 real conquistados would they be worth that much... ugh...I said "conquistados" >_>

Here's a better pic of bley and light grey eew Edit: I meant eew to the colors, not the MOC ;) I happen to think the MOC is really nicely done
-
I've just checked the tru website...they're available NOW, does that mean the actual stores would have them, though?
-
Well, if someone with colors as their name says so, then it must be true :-D To be honest, I worry about cross contamination too, but I figure if the difference is so great, I can spot it, and if not...well then it doesn't matter
-
Personally, I blame it on the camera...it makes normal grey look almost brown/tan! i agree. try putting in it in real sunlight, but without the walls reflecting sunlight... what colors did you mix: dark grey (used and new)? bley (used and new)? damn! just read it's not yours... |-/ It seems to be a mix of light grey, bley, and old dark grey (though you can hardly tell from the camera. And I put that little note in at the end that it wasn't mine because I figured people would think it was ;) I'll have one up within the week, though

This was mentioned in another thread or two, but nonetheless, good find!

Sorry, I actually have two exams tomorrow...so I've been a bit busy :'( Give me a few days to make it look acceptable ;) Honestly, the basement is so bare-bones right now, it's not even funny, I still need to fix up the windows, add that front gate, intersperse the dark grey throughout the wall, finish the "marble" in the entrance way, get the bookshelves up in the library, make the furniture, finish the first-floor fireplace, make the rugs for the first floor... >-| Meh, but as long as you KNOW it's nowhere near done, I'm sure it won't be that bad (I've never shown anyone a MOC before :/
-
Is this what happens when mixing old grey with bley? Is that actually grey? Edit: Sorry Sting, this isn't mine :-D Just something I found on Brickshelf

Am I the only one who hates the fake-anime style of "The Batman"? Then again, I hate most american "fake" anime...but it just seems to ruin the series for me. My favorite was the 90's cartoon, and that's what I'm hoping we'll get figs of.

Looks very nice, maybe try a thinner, somewhat softer fabric?

I think there might be some sort of bug, because even after messing with the daylight savings, my board time is still 1 hour ahead. I'm in GMT-5 (US Eastern), and with daylight savings, it's even worse at 2 hours fast. I live in NY, so I'm DEFINITELY Eastern...any idea what's up?
-
I found it once, a prototype. Anyone know if any of these are for sale anywhere? It's exactly what I need for a certain project of mine.
