Well, NinjaGo definitely appears to be aimed at a younger audience... though I'm not sure how young you have to be to take skeleton bikers VS ninjas on dragons seriously. NinjaGo is a species all it's own, which might be why LEGO is trying so hard to sell it. I don't think PQ will be set too far back by NinjaGo, especially if sales reflect the reactions to these themes seen here. But we'll see.

Good point, there will probably be an exclusive set somewhere down the line. As awesome as that Pyramid is, I would rather some cheaper methods of collecting the other figs... and NinjaGo has more sets mostly because there seems to be several throwaway card collecting sets that baffle me to this day. Also it appears to be more kid-oriented.
-
Figs look great, I kinda wish we got more minifig variety in the smaller sets though. It seems like the Pyramid is the only way to get most of this theme's figs, like the Professor and Jackal.
-
Very, which is why I stay away from licensed themes.
-
That set is just spectacular. A must-buy for me. Even if the idea of flying mummies is a little unorthodox.

Ice Planet did have an awesome color scheme, but I think Power Miners are a good example of why LEGO experimenting with unusual schemes can go very very wrong. I also agree with Vex that this sounds sketchy. Since when did LEGO do "battle packs" for anything other than Star Wars and Castle? On the other hand, an Alien Invasion theme sounds kinda likely. Alien invasions are popular. Skyline just came out and Independence Day 2 is filming along with Transformers 3 coming out in July. It would be a hit with the kids too. ...But that doesn't mean LEGO's doing it. I'm calling BS until I hear more reports or see a pic.

It sounds promising, but LEGO's color blindness of recent Action themes doesn't bode well for the "disgusting color of green" he mentioned. Still, it has potential.
-
Man, I hope the Pyramid set isn't $100... it's easily the coolest set of the bunch. :/
-
I pretty much agree with this as well. Between the new and old mummies though, I still prefer the new only because of the excellent Egyptian weapons and shields and headpieces.
-
I think the mummies look great, especially with the headpieces and weapons. The prints on the heads aren't as detailed as the bodies, true, but at least they're varied.
-
The mummies look really great! I like how the smaller sets in this theme are some of the strongest. This is the best LEGO's done in quite some time.
-
I'm really liking the Jedi shuttle.
-
The figs do look nice... no Johnny Thunder but still cool enough. Honestly all of the sets look great save the Sphinx, which looks like it needed a few more redesigns. Unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to get very many of these sets.
-
I don't get it... they're ninjas that drive gas-powered tanks? Is this Exo-Force or Ninjas?
-
Atlantis looks good, yeah. Mostly the temple set looks great. PQ is more interesting imo.
-
DANG that set looks nice.
-
Oh yes. These look great. The Pyramid in particular is spectacular. It's full and complete looking with lots of great extras. My personal favorite, though, would have to be that biplane. Atlantis looks fantastic too. 2011 is looking great. EDIT: http://www.superspeelgoed.nl/lego-2263-turbo-shredder-p-9296.html What the $%*&?
-
This would have been the coolest set LEGO's come out with in years. Small but beautiful. I really wish LEGO had stuck with these prototypes.
-
Seems like we should be getting some hi-res pics soon. Don't the sets come in out a month?
-
Pharaoh's Quest right before Christmas sounds dandy to me.
-
Do we REALLY need another Police line? I swear we've had one every year... I don't pay much attention to City though.
-
So the Pharoah's Quest website inspired me to write my own Pharoah's Quest theme... check it! http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/369689 EDIT: Also, definitely liking the final design for the mummies. I hope the Adventurers minifig makeover is just as dramatic- they were really bland from what I saw.

New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Algernon replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
I opened this link and I No seriously, this set looks amazing. A little pricey for me but still you seem to get what you pay for here... really just incredible detail. I might pick this up regardless of the price. -
Just a gorgeous set. Looks great on display. I would pick this up if it wasn't so expensive now. :/

Fantastic review for a fantastic set. The new Harry Potter sets are looking better and better. It's nice to see HP make such a good comeback. If I had the money I would definitely pick this up.
