  1. It's a dream of mine to do some graphic design for Lego but I don't think they'll take my ideas if I send the company an email about them. As for your question about transferring my designs, I would like to do it first especially with the 300 shirt. That's my dream shirt and I've been trying hard to have it printed: couldn't do it at school, Staples is too expensive, and I won't produce it by transfer paper (it always turns out bad ). I'm glad your interested, the whole bunch of you too, but I want to be the first to produce it .
  2. Actually you can find most of the Beast Wars episodes on youtube by simple typing in "beast wars episode." Check some of the episodes out first before spending a lot on a DVD set . But if you find a cheap place online... please tell me .
  3. First thing I gotta say is that this is my first topic here on Eurobricks and I'm not sure if this is the right area for me to post this. If this topic should be moved else where can someone please tell me, thanks . I like to think more outside the box when it comes to Legos (yes, pun intended) so I've done some projects that don't involve the plastic bricks. Some projects involve drawing and, in this case, creating clothing. At my high school I took graphic design and t-shirt screen printing was one of the jobs I had to do. On my third year of the course I decided to do a four color print that would represent the AFOL in all its pride and glory but the school principle didn't like me using the word "Hell" in the shirt design and it got canned. So I had to design something else with similar principles that I wanted in my first design but something I could design quick enough to get started. So I created the Army Builder T-Shirts. Computer Design Srceen Printed Printed on Black I wasn't really happy with the end result since the printed area was suppose to be much bigger (you can't tell from the pictures) and it wasn't my original design. But I can show you my original even though it was never printed . Enjoy
  4. Actually, Avatar Universe sounds like the title of their new MMORPG coming out (debuting in September) but I'm not too sure. It might be a new show but I think the title sounds more fitting to a game, especially a MMO game. As for Avatar MOCs, I have one but it's not "really" done. But I can say that it's very cool, in my opinion . I also have some MOCS planned to do in the future. I can't believe LEGO stopped making the sets since there was great potental in this line! The Fire Nation vehicles are like a steam-punk lovers dream! And I could have seen some brick made critters like the rhinos and Appa. But sadly the dream has ended. Here's hoping that there will be a new line for the movie!
  5. I almost cried watching that. As for Avatar, I'm sad to see that it ended but I'm glad that it did. If a show, or any story for that matter, goes on for too long then it loses it meaning and becomes stale. The show was astounding for what it was able to do both in animation and story telling and it will definitely leave its mark on Nick and other children-aimed channels too. It ended well and I hope that the creators will quickly start on a new project .
  6. I found this from seibertron.com. Also there are some photos taken on set that show some new vehicles such as a Chinese police car (possibly Prowl) and pictures of a black four wheeler and Ironhide with a motorcycle. From what I've been hearing, it seems that none of the Autobots from the first film will be changing alt modes from there previous film. But who knows?
  7. There won't be any new Matoran for the new bunch of Toa. On the back of the packaging for the Toa sets they show that they can still have Matoran attach to them but it shows the old Matoran actually on their backs.
  8. Oh, man do I love it! The quick and fluid animation, the surprisingly deep characters (but done in a fast pace), and amazing voice talent! There's nothing I don't like about the series! The show has the Romita era combined with the Ultimate one. What a great combination! So yah, I watch it .
  9. I didn't think I would see the day... ...when the Indiana Jones soundtrack and Final Countdown would be used in the same media clip. And the Mata Nui thing is amazing too . Wow, what a shocker. I know along time ago back in 2001 that people were pointing out the "hidden face" in the island (any one else remember this?) but I really didn't think that it would be Mata Nui's face! He's amazingly huge! This twist really has a strong mythology feeling to it that I haven't seen story line wise in a long time (I'm guessing they already planned the ending in 2001 but it's nice they haven't changed it ). Best story line element in a long time (I just hope we’re right).
  10. I'm glad to see so many people like Deadpool! I don't have any of his comics though but I wish I did sometimes. Here's two interesting links: Deadpool My favorite hero has to be Spider-Man. I have to agree with how the quality of Spidey comics has been dropping but luckily there is still Ultimate Spider-Man. Nick Fury: Peter, optimism is a revolutionary act. Peter Parker: Who told you that? The guy who poked out your eye? Nick Fury: Yes.
  11. Oh, schmoot. Brickshelf is down for some reason and I just uploaded the rest of the scans from the magazine too (timing was a bit odd...). They're there but I'm gonna have to wait to post them. The best way I can describe the two page spread is that it reminds me of Tolkien's maps (less detailed though). Well, that is about it for now until Brickshelf gets back online. EDIT: Well, that was quick 8-
  12. Actually, I'm thinking elves, especially after this: This came from my newest Brickmaster magazine where there was a giant map of all the fractions, including the dwarves and trolls (which were just hints for upcoming sets. Remember, the magazine is far behind compared to what we already know ;-)). I hope this is real and not just an illustration because that picture is showing a hair piece that a helmet can be put on top of!
  13. Nothing makes my day than finding a new scapegoat :-D! But really, that's not what I had intended though. I feel really left out with today's Bionicle, it has really changed since the beginning. It feels like LEGO is running for president ( ;-)) but all the little states (like Rhode Island) can't have a say, but of course they give the tiny states a gold star sticker for being apart of the USA. So how do you respond to that: Thanks for keeping us in mind but this isn't really doing anything? I just feel as an older fan that I'm being kicked out of something that I once liked. (You can now cry at my moving speech) To end on a happy note, I really like the vehicles (except for the load of silver pieces). I haven't been this happy about a Bionicle vehicle since the Ussanui. The designs look solid, the shooting pieces look hidden, and it doesn't look like jumble pieces thrown together. I really like this direction :-). That's why I end up buying a lot of citrus fruit X-D. Nature's best marketing scheme.
  14. I'm quite aware of that but I'm pointing out that there is a market for nostalgia. I think the Transformers Classics line is the best example on what I wanted for Bionicle this year. Classics has the old G1 characters with a modern look for today's younger audience to find appealing but still retain the familiar look and design that the older group will recognize and buy also. I'm just surprise that the closer resemblance to older toa prototypes (CROTPs for short) had a negative affect on the testers. I really didn't think that it would matter too much to them.
  15. No nostalgia market? Is this only for Lego because it seems other toy companies are doing fine by having remakes of old characters. I'm talking about you, Transformers Classics! And Masterpiece... and all of the G-1 reissues... But my biggest question is why did the Nuva prototypes got shot done by having a resemblence to there older selfs? If these focus groups are new to Bionicle what made them dislike the oldie look to this new... stuff? I'm surprise it matter to them! Life
  16. Don't worry, he's credible. Greg is the editor for the club magazines and the story writer for the Bionicle stuff. Hmm, I wonder what the new stuff is. Maybe it's something that will be filling the void of Exo-Force.
  17. I have to say I'm okay with the vehicles designs except for the ungodly amount of silver blades decorating the highflying machines. Can't they be a different color than silver? Since the 2009 movie is brought up, can someone answer this question for me: Is Bruce Timm, the guy behind Batman: The Animated Series, working on this? I thought I read that awhile ago but I'm a little unsure now. Maybe I was dreaming *sweet*.
  18. Once again I'm baffled about Onua. The picture is great resolution but I still can't tell too much about him: is that a gun attachment or claws, is that a unique chest piece (or is that part of his mask *wacko* ), and what's with the red things on the back of his legs (rockets)? For Gali, I'm lost for words... really :-/. Is that a gun with a huge attachment to it or is it a giant probe with a laser sighting. Tahu, probably the most iconic Bionicle character due to the Hau kanohi has nothing that resembles his former self! Also is it necessary to have that many pointy pieces to him? Pointy shin gaurds, pointy shoulders, pointy feet, and pointy fin on top of his mask. Oy :-|. I must say I do like the Makuta... well, at least the white and the yellow one. I'm excited to see more pics for them but not too much with the Toa. Ever since the Hordika I haven't liked the Toa sets too much. Oh, well. Thanks, jaller2008 for posting the pics ;-).
  19. I glad to see higher resolution pictures but now I not too sure if I want to see them :-/. Onua was my highest hope out of all the Toa for this year but now I'm a little disappointed. It appears he doesn't have claws, which was a high hope for me, but instead has one gun with an attachment to it. Come on, we already got that with Kopaka so why do we have to get that again!? Also it seems that Bitil's (that's the yellow one right?) wing piece is attached to just one arm of Onua. I not complaining about that but I wonder if that will improve, take away, or do nothing regarding the whole design. Is it necessary? I really can't say I'm interested in these Toa sets because they really don't remind me of Toa. I'm still stuck in the past (2001) when it comes to Toa design but the whole ninja theme seems... unoriginal, especially since I feel that Bionicle is just riding on the coat tail of Naruto's success in America. I know toys use successful fades or the "happening thang" to boost sells but it doesn't feel right when it comes to Bionicle... at least to me it doesn
  20. lol i thought he looked like a drunk old man tramp Actually, I think it's Conan O' Brien! I'm really happy with the sets, way to go Lego *y*.
  21. And don't forget the video that goes along with it :-). They were always real to me
  22. I remember reading a different reason were it stated that they had to edit it due to the steroid reference during the wrestling scene. I'm not too sure on this either *wacko*.
  23. I can't wait to see the video for the Megablock Ripoff of LEGO Anniversary Celebration! Gotta love lego *sweet*!
  24. Hinckley, that's the fig I'm talking. Thanks for finding the pic. Also, thank you everyone for the hearty welcome *sweet*.
  25. BEST--PICTURE--EVER! :'-) *regain composure* Thanks. For my age, I'm 18 right now, the set that you have posted is pretty old for me. The one I'm talking about doesn't have any similar features to a minifigure other than it's yellow. The face actually has a nose that sticks out and a hairpiece that isn't... well, a hairpiece. The set box featured a house, a plane, and maybe a car. It's been too long to really remember much but it definitely was a type of creator set.
