I hope the faces will be a little diverse than what the screen caps are showing now since every head is the same except different colors. But seeing that Mata Nui's face has changed compared to the screen caps here, it's possible the same has happened to the others. Besides that, every detail looks great! I still wish we could see some tissue in these models but I love the worn metal on all of these! Now I just want to see more animation !

Thanks for the link Refia! Now I don't have to scan anything! I'm kind of lazy .

I really have no problem with it. It looks more metallic than the older plastic feel of the other movies and it looks as if it was based off the mouth of the new head molds of the Glatorian sets. His mouth/head color is a actually bley. Also, I really like the eye design for this, they're not big or fill up the eye hole. What I mean is that you can actually see some of Mata Nui's head through the eye holes like the toy masks. This I really like. As for the beetle pet thing, I'm just guessing that's what it is. I've seen it in two pictures, both with it on Mata Nui's shoulders, so I'm guessing the beetle will be with him for most of the movie. Also, I forgot to mention this, there's a Vorox in one of the backgrounds of the pictures. Very hard to make out what's new with it but it feels as if the Vorox will be bulkier in the movie than the actual set. It makes sense to me.

Well, I may have some good news to share but unless, of course, I'm not aware some one else posted it. I received my May/June BrickMaster issue a little early and the issue has new pictures of the Bionicle movie coming out this fall. Apparently some stuff has changed since we've seen the trailer. Mata Nui does have a mouth and is visible to be seen. But, unlike the older movies, the mouth is not apart of the mask but actually attached to his face. The bottom part of the mask is gone, making an upside cut out of a V, so you can see his mouth. Also his weapon is finally named, it's called the "scarab shield", and it looks a little different now than what we saw in the trailer. His body looks exactly the same from the trailer. There is one problem I have with the new info. Judging from two pictures that are shown, it appears Mata Nui will have a pet beetle that stays on his shoulders. Not too happy about that. If this is new info I'll try to get scans up tomorrow.

Or maybe the wolves are actually werewolves... Yah... I hope not but I'm just throwing that idea out there .

I just got to see the trailer for Legends Reborn and I have to say I'm disappointed a little. The environment looks beautiful but the animated parts, such as the explosion, felt under toned and unnatural. It's hard to explain but it didn't look right. And I'm really disappointed that Mata Nui looks just like the set. I love the character designs from the other movies where you could see muscle and tissue, and also this emphasized body movement and gestures but Mata Nui... it's like staring at a very shiny toy. I feel like they lost a lot to making it look too much like the toy . Maybe when I get to see an actual trailer I'll change my mind .

Kick'n ! I hope to see an updated version with its own topic down the road. Really, I'm very impressed with the work I'm seeing here. I'm glad that I'm finally seeing more Avatar related stuff (even if it was done to get some awesome pieces )

Oky Wan Kenobi, you might want to remove that link to that site. When I clicked it it caused some problems for me. Windows of that site just kept popping up by themselves. I had to end task my browser just to make the windows stop appearing. I had about ten up before I could cut the connection .

Yes! It's great to see Avatar get some more attention in the lego world! Too bad I'm seperated from most of my bricks and have a lot of work to do for college... But still ! This is great to see!

Well, I'm back at college now which means less time for lego building . I did bring some back with me but not enough (is it really ever enough when it comes to lego?). I'm still building the arena through LDD and through actual bricks but the whole arena won't be done in a long time. I simply don't have the bricks, especially ones in the right colors, to pull it off yet. Also I have to finish the design too . I might not have any more to contribute to this topic but I do hope that others will start posting Avatar MOCs ! Also I'm starting to work on some Avater minifigure designs such as torsos and faces. Right now I'm designing Toph's torso. Who knows if I'll finish any of this !

What's with the disk attached to Nui's right arm? Is it a variation of the life counter game?

I added another earthbending action to my first post. It's a "fissure action." It doesn't look pretty (neither does the first one) but it will be prettied-up later. It's simply a fun feature that I imaged that lego would have made to be thrown on the side of a bigger vechile set. Like an earthbender vs. a tank?

Okay, I got the new pics up with the inside view. Seriously, I love the Spring Brick that the LEGO Company made awhile ago. It's no longer being made is it? It's a crying shame. I was also thinking of using this same set up for a booby trap for Indiana Jones. That's why I'm thinking of other earthbending stuff such as a fissure action and some other things. oo7, thanks for pointing out Tanotrooper's Toph character ! Thanks for the nice replies guys!

Yah, I can show how it works! Right now I don't have pictures taken but I should be able to put some up by today! Thanks for the replies!

Remember that other Nickelodeon theme that got canceled only after two sets were released? Yah, that was Avatar... I'm guessing most of you don't know the series Avatar too much or at all so I'm going to have to explain some things so you can better understand my MOC. In the world of Avatar some people have the ability to control the four elements: Water, Earth, Fire, and Air, which is called "bending." The Avatar, which the series is named after, can control all four elements. Okay, with that out of the way, here's my first MOC on Eurobricks (be gentle )! Earthbending It's!... a box. But what happens when you push down on the Minifigure? EARTH PILLARS SHOOT UP FROM THE GROUND! And the pillars stay up too! This is still a prototype and that's why it has multiple colors in it. Also I want to mention that this is only one piece of a bigger MOC I'm working on. Here's what I'm trying to make: Earth Rumble VI. Earth Rumble is "pro-westling" but with big rocks. Since the arena is a "big box" my Earthbending play feature won't stick out but will be hidden inside. Right now I'm working on the next piece of the arena which is a circle that spins in the center (it happens in the show). I also have a video clip of my MOC in action which you can watch here --> Earthbending Clip The clip will take awhile to load and it's me repeating the action three times; I thought I could edit the video to be shorter and cut some things but I found out I have no such program on my computer . But the video does show the action well so if you want to see it just be a little patient . So... what do you think ! Edit: What's Inside! Pillars taken out Spring Brick (why he pops back up) and Align Element 180 degrees piece Top view Is that a 8m cross axle in your MOC or are you just happy to see me? Edit 2: Fissure Action! Here's another fugly prototype! This prototype is about creating a crack in the ground. I'm not planning to add this in the Earth Rumble arena but keep it as a simple play feature that can be thrown in with a bigger set or something. Nothing much is happening... but what if you pull back on the minifigure? This happens! Top view of fissure The whole mechanic is simply three hinges. One is an actual hinge piece, the other is created by connecting the hinge brick with the rounded one stud brick and two stud rectangle brick, and the last one is the hinge connected to the other side of the fissure (where the minifigure is standing). The white nurple piece at the end stops the fissure from becoming too wide. Right now the fissure action is pretty ugly but I'm planning to replace the white nurple piece with maybe a plant and make the rest a little more landscapey-looking.

Wow, just wow! The comic was more amazing than I thought it was going to be. I always worry about the quality of the comics but this, this impressed me by a lot! I was overfilled with nostalgia! It wasn't because of resurrecting old characters or references to past events but it was the atmosphere that was generated by the comic! Detail to locations is back, dynamic poses with good artwork, and a pace that didn't felt rushed! I have a question: Will there be far less books this year? I'm wondering because I felt that the books were the cause of the bad pacing of the comics and boring stories. The comics were basically cliff notes of the books but with art slapped on. So I'm hoping there will be fewer books this year. If the quality stays the way it is, I'm going to be one happy Bionicle fan !

Has it been said yet that some of the Glatorian can be purchased on the US Toys R Us website? Skrall's Page It looks like you can purchase them. Some of them. Sorry if this is old.

Sadly I live in the past and have the episode recorded on vhs. However, you can find the segment here: Click Me! There you go !

The Even Stevens tv show and the second Spy Kids movie both had Bionicle in the background. And let us not forget that the brick artist Nathan Sawaya was a guest on the Colbert Report and created a life size model of Stephen Colbert! I taped that episode !

Is it me or does Gordon sound a lot like Mark Hamill? I wouldn't be surprised if it was him since he had connections with Revenge of the Brick and Batman is kind of his thing (Joker ) The only thing that I was upset about was that the faces weren't really animated. It made it feel flat. The rest I enjoyed.

The extraction looks like a texture to an image more than Mata-Nui to me. There are a lot of those scratches that we normally see on the masks in the cgi stuff. Maybe I just have no imagination (can you buy that stuff on the street?). Also, does anyone know when the next movie is coming out? Will it be launching with the toys or after (or before)?

Man, I missed seeing stuff like that. Thanks for the picture!

Gallagher is a good artist but still it lacks any emotion or feel of strength. Carlos had amazing dramatic shots (thank you Ikki o' Moopyville for the comparison shot) but his drawings also gave emotional feel to the characters. His Toa weren't set copies but instead changed to give them a more human quality (Head sizes were smaller, shoulders were bigger, characters showed emotion through their eyes, etc.). I really haven't seen too many of the artist other than Sayger that have done this (Sayger did great villains but I felt his heroes were bland). Elliot... was awful. But please understand that Elliot is an inker and not a penciler when it comes to comics. Almost all his comic related work is that of an inker. I think he was kind of thrown into the position of a penciler when Carlos left. Also, did anyone else other than me feel sick from reading the dialogue in the new comic? Antroz: Not good enough -- I am truly one with the ship. Pohatu: If I catch up with you, "one" is going to be none. uhg... I know it's for kids but still...

Is anyone a little worried about the price of these? The fact that the Mistika were thirteen dollars and the new line is ten times better makes me worry about the price. I do hope that it stays at thirteen but I highly doubt it .
