On Thursday I grabbed two 7628 and some other Indy Lego, I must have looked rather odd on the tube home.

I’ve got a BA is a history related subject and I’m currently finishing off my MA with plans if I get the grades to go to one of the great universities for my PhD Oxford, Cambridge or Hull.

I just got back from seeing Mongol (which required a bit of a journey as the local cinema doesn’t like anything that involves reading), generally I was impressive it was a good film well acted and with some great stunt work. I was a little disappointed that it ended when it did, though maybe we’ll get a sequel of conquering the world.

I have to agree with JimButcher it seems very slight so a moulding error seems more likely than a new piece, I haven’t received one like this myself.

Well the vote is quite clear at this stage with 90% being for a non-licensed theme. For me it has to be original, firstly as that will make it cheaper less with not license costs and also as mentioned Lego can be far more creative without a films restriction and thousands of the same character I have enough Indys already!

To be honest considering the far more limited range of bricks available in MegaBlocks it seem a pretty good effort to me and rather like some of the old-school pre-licence MOCs

The boat in 8636 looks great to me, I really like it, probably ads it has a slight unfinished evil genius got board and wanted a new super weapon look. The submarine is nice as well but I think having a cockpit with the an agent to sit in it on view makes it seem a little small. As for the volcano base well what can I say it’s cliché ridden and I love it, a lava pit with a pointless vehicle going to it what more could a guy want. Further the helicopter is a great official rendition of a small attack helicopter.

A huge thanks to brickbitz for pointing out the sale ended today! Having dashed across London after work I now have one, if on one else posts pictures with stickers I’ll take some after work tomorrow.

I’ve got to find myself a new job! No one ever leaves me Lego at work.

Thanks for the review. I wasn't totally keen on the cart as it appeared a little dainty to me as well. I look forward to seeing some more pictures in the future.

A great little tribute, the little bit of landscaping is well done, the hat in-between the group is a great little touch. The building is also well put together.

Thanks for the review, it looks a good set. Can I ask if the 3 for 2 in Indy Lego applies in store or only online? Also would it be possible to get a few shots with the stickers on and of the box art?

Another excellent addition to the town, if I can ask a quick off topic question TheBrickster how did you hear about/get a picture of the Playmobil paddle steamer as it was never released?

Thanks for the review Mr. Mandalorian. The Alien craft is a bit small in my opinion could have done with being just a little bit larger. The main craft however despite its few minor flaws looks very good. While space isn’t my normal theme I’m certainly being tempted this year.

A good team you’ve got there, I like the Chinese workers, I think the torso are fine. Any thoughts on another gang of ghostly railway workers coming the other way?
