Thanks for the response everyone! For the sake of preserving charm, I will take up your advice! However, I am going to leave the decale alone as someone took the time to decorate this figure. It would be good to preserve their memory. Poor Helena hippo! At least her death was not in vain as I have learned that heads are detachable. That's great to know! I think just to be safe, I will use tools to remove the head. Thanks for the reference and the link. Using the acrylic paint is brilliant. Does this method also apply to standard minifig joints?

I narrowed it down to 3 steps. 1. Go to Brickshelf.com and upload pictures there from your computer. 2. Copy the links with the .jpg and come back to Eurobricks. 3. Upload your pictures in post by typing the letters in the quotes [/img.] insert .jpg link here [img.] And your done! Edit: Ignore the period after "img"; I had to add that in to prevent the system from thinking that I wanted to insert an image.

Earlier this week I received some Fabuland figures from a friend of mine and together with the two that I had since childhood, my small collection is up to five . I hope to expand my collection in the near future, but for the time being I want to take good care of the ones I have. As of now, two of the figs have worn out printings. You can slightly tell from this low quality picture that both the elephant's eye and raccon's nose are a little worn out. What is the best method to restore the printings? Would a fine tip Sharpie pen be sufficient for this job? Also are Fabuland figures detachable like a standard minifgure? I tried removing the head of the racoon but it didn't seem to budge. I am afraid that I damaged the integrity of the figure. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the review! Under the sunlight, you can really see the beautiful design and coloring of this ship.

selling bags of 100 bricks for £5 each
Donut replied to RejectedShrimp's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hey RejectedShrimp, a picture would be nice. Thanks! -
Buying the sets is the way to go as there have been quality issues that were brought up with the battle packs. 7949 is essentially a battle pack (3 figs + horse) and it is cheaper than the SW packs. Right now, TRU has BOGO half off so look into that if you're interested. Otherwise lay low for a bit and when there's another sale go bananas with purchasing!

Online it says they are being sold in stores, maybe they'll be in stock in a few days?
-
Yes, the LEGO store is almost a carbon copy of the online store. Though the special promotions are quite different. For example, this month if you spend x amount of dollars in the store, you get a free small pick a brick bin whereas online, you get a Creator Lizard. Also, Amazon USA (I am not sure about Canada) sells exclusive sets. This is often the cheaper alternative for us in the states because shipping and taxes are not included.

Exactly, I am sorry if I seemed a bit harsh. In the end we're all trying to help out! Pirates of the Caribbean is available to buy on TRU online, it's out a few weeks earlier than the projected release date.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Donut replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
LegoGalactus, you've got a fast trigger. I noticed that TRU has always been bringing out new sets a couple weeks before their official release date. It's happened with the CMF series, maybe TRU struck a deal with TLC to bring them out early in order to increase sales? -
Might have a problem with Jedi Master Fangorn
Donut replied to airsoftg36c's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
"Yesterday, about 10 minutes after the package supposedly arrived," Whoops! I am sorry I misread your post, I did not see the "supposedly". I'll pm you some details on how you can handle this type of situation. -
Might have a problem with Jedi Master Fangorn
Donut replied to airsoftg36c's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Since he received the package yesterday, you should give him more time to respond back to you. Send him a private message again and wait for his response (at least 2 days window). -
I never knew this site existed, thanks for the heads up!

All 3 are really expensive and shipping has not been included into the cost. If these are the minfigs you like, part out the minifig on BL and buy the parts separately on there. The Spartan is a different story since is one of the most coveted fig in the CMF series. I think BL has the cheapest (while not affordable) deal for around $8 per fig. In summary, buy from BL if you're don't want to wait. Good luck!

Are you wanting to buy minifigs or minifig accessories? Also, from which era (of minifigs) do you want to buy? I'll speak in terms of minifigs, a fair price would be $2/minifig. From my experience, the cheapest place to buy is Ebay. However you'll need a little bit of luck and lots of patience to find a good deal. For instant gratification, shop at Bricklink. I know this probably doesn't help much, but there aren't too many options. Edit:

No you're wrong, the real deal is the Mandalorian battle pack. The retail price for a Mandalorian battle pack on S@H is $12 and it is now being sold at Target for $8. So the discount is actually 33% off not 30%. This is huge as battle packs are seldom discounted this high. The deal you posted is 15% off as dhaas06 has told you. Please do the math carefully before you discredit other people's posts.

From Target Weekly Ad: both the Mandalorian Battle Pack and City Police Dog Unit are on sale for $8.

Buying Collectable Minifigures on Amazon
Donut replied to Mr_Malfoy's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Buying minifigs on Amazon is really expensive. You aren't saving any money with the free shipping if you factor in the steep price. Bricklink, Ebay, or trading are all potentially cheaper alternatives. Good luck! -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Donut replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I find feeling the bags is the most efficient way to get what you're looking for. For the gnome, try to feel for the pole and for the viking, feel for the shield. -
Post this over there. It's a thread dedicated to CMF trading. Good luck!

Thanks for translating but most importantly for taking all these crisp and clean images. This license looks really promising, though the price is steep. According to BN, the MSRP for this set is $80 USD. How many pieces are there? I don't see it on the box.

Shop@home is offering free shipping on the LEGO Universe game. The price is still $10. Amazon is offering a special promotions on the new Pirates of the Caribbean video game. You will receive a $10 gift card for your next purchase along with the Jack Sparrow minifig.

This was featured news on Yahoo's front page. It must be a heavy dress, probably felt like wearing armor.

Garmadon's Dark Fortress is still on sale on Amazon for $55. With free shipping and no tax, this is still the best deal around.
