It may just be me, but isn't the Republic Trooper face the same as the Endor Rebel Trooper in this years Endor Battle pack? If it is, then it kind of seems lazy for TLC. -

Hi guys, just wondering if this is where you get your tags? If so, could I get the Republic symbol please? Thanks. -

Like you say, there may be a lack of AotC sets just now, but this will likely change in the summer wave, which is likely to be PT heavy. -
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Admiral-Ackbar replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Did you manage to get them both together in the collectors edition pack? I managed to get it for about £10, which is half the price from if i had bought them separately. -
Yes, this is not a proper review; you should either add some text for each picture and a conclusion, or have an Admin change the name of the topic. The pictures are mainly clear though, so good job in that regard!

Now that we have seen the pictures of these sets (rather low-res), we can actually plan what we are going to get, for me that will be most of the wave. Clone Trooper vs Droidekas Battle Pack - Definite buy! Never managed to get droidekas in any other set, even if these ones do look quite bad. Troopers look great; love that olive green! The Old Republic Battle Pack - Maybe buy. I'm not going to buy the Sith Interceptor, so this is a good chance to get that trooper, plus you can never have enough Republic forces! AT-RT - Definite buy! Really like the 501st trooper, and want a Yoda, plus that sniper droideka looks nice (not entirely accurate though). The actual vehicle looks great too, in a really nice colour. A-Wing - Maybe buy. Never got any of the previous incarnations of this, so is an interesting prospect. Han looks nice, and so does the pilot, but I already own Ackbar through Bricklink. Z-95 Headhunter - Definite buy! Another 501st trooper, and PONG KRELL!! I'm expanding my Jedi section, so this works well in that regard, even if he turned out to be a manipulating traitor.... Oh, and a nice looking ship too. Rancor Pit - Not buy. Loving that Rancor but already have an Episode 6 Luke from Jabbas Palace, plus it is essentially just an add on to a set I already own. Planet Series 3 - Buy, buy, buy! That acclamator looks great, and I assume the pilot will be PT, not CW (?); awesome Jedi starfighter, and hopefully great astromech; and a nice TIE Bomber with another pilot (slightly disappointing). Planet Series 4 - Buy, buy, buy! Love the figures, love the minis, and love the planets. That is all. BARC Speeder with sidecar - Definite buy! New Obi-Wan, new Captain Rex, and the ability to recreate a scene from the CW. A nice flitknot speeder with ANOTHER commando droid. I like them. Umbaran MHC - Definite buy! New Ahsoka, a 212th clone trooper (with discoloured markings) and a reasonably accurate bjt undersized cannon. Good job on this one except for the Umbarans that look awful. So, good wave, an expensive wave, with great figures and nice vehicles. -

I haven't bought it yet, but I am told it is the best out of the three tins. If you can get one, go for it! And get me one too while you're at it..... -

Just bought Saasee Tinns Starfighter for £25. Not exactly the best saving, but a great set with or without any discount. Also looking to get some more of the smaller 2012 sets, such as Droid Escape. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Admiral-Ackbar replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Don't mind me, just ressurecting an old topic.... Looking ahead to 2013, the prize may go the the TIE Fighter with Asteroid Planet Set. I mean, printed asteroid field? And a figure already seen in a planet set? No. Bad Lego! -
5. gid617 14. dr_spock_888 22. Etzel Good luck to everyone!
-
Thanks Bilbo! One of my two main aims was to show injuries for both sides, which seems to be clear to everyone.
-
I see what you mean, but I mean a Phase 2 Cody to join Captain Rex and the three main jedi. I think a phase 2 cody may be more of an Episode 3 thing since, as has been said, he was nowhere to be seen in most of Season 4 and by the looks of it, Season 5 as well.
-
It would benefit those who own the Turbo Tank or At-Te already and just wish to have the dropship, or those who just want a big vehicle to build their army with.
-
I don't know if this as been brought up already, but is anyone else kind of annoyed by the fact that Commander Cody is nowhere to be seen? We get all of the main cast bar him! Maybe we could get him in the summer wave for a big set? Heres hoping.....
-
Speaking of that set, wouldn't be great if they made them again, only this time separately? That way the price for each would be about £75-£100 and they could add in a command centre and a couple of exclusive minifigures for the AT-OT and possibly something for the dropship to land or attack? I would buy both.
-
I believe it was seen for about two seconds in the Utapau scenes near the end of the movie.
-
Very good work! You managed to pull this off very well even though there was only one or two reference images. Good job!
-
I understand what you mean perfectly, and I again apologise for nearing the line between RoTS MOC and loosely related 'thingymabob', but (partly due to the colour of the archway) I thought a largely unknown Planet would be best to make a vignette in to try and show a less important battle in the Clone Wars (that most likely never happened). I tried to use the Order 66 scenes to my advantage (i.e. having one of the ARF troopers try to contact Aayla Secura who was on Felucia for a part of Episode 3) to more closely relate to this Community Build. Thanks for your kind comments anyway! And yes, I am still running low on parts, most of the white pieces I had ordered went into re-building my Wampa Cave set.

Community Build: SW Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Admiral-Ackbar replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Here is my other entry, Trooper Down! Enjoy. -
I finally managed to get my order of white pieces in, so I made a teeny little vignette. I'm not sure if the ARF Troopers are still viable in Episode 3, but I don't have any Phase 2 Clones, so here goes..... Droid attack! As the Clone Wars rage through the Outer Rim territories, the planet of Rhen Var, a Republic outpost is being ambushed by a squad of droids. Led by ARF Commander Layden, the clones try to repel the droid forces..... First of all, we have a look at the vignette from the droids point of view: Droid Commander: Blast them! Droid Corporal: Roger Roger. Next, a look at the vignette from the clones point of view: ARF Sergeant: Medic!! ARF trooper: MEDIC! We have a man down! We now see an action shot of the vignette from a nice low point of view: ARF Sergeant: (to Clone inside) Get a message to General Secura in the Felucia system for reinforcements! ARF Trooper: We won't last that long, sir! And now a view of the side of the 'entrance': Droid Corporal: Sir, 6G3 778 has been destroyed. Droid Commander: Continue attack. Droid Corporal: Roger Roger. Finally, an 'aerial' view of the vignette: <Insert some comment made by ARF Trooper here> That's all folks! If you enjoyed this, you can see my other entry for this Community Build here.

This is very good indeed! They are definitely closer to minifig scale, and are generally awesome! Good work indeed -

I don't think Lego would be silly enough to make a planet that is basically just a bit of space with asteroids instead of making a single well designed asteroid. If they were, they may end up with a lot of stock! -

I also agree with this. Most of the planets this year were forgivable or already suitable since they were just starting it out, but they should know what will sell and what will not by now, exclusive minifigures with good planets sell, the rest dont.
