The Penguin's Castle Minifigures..... )
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks, oh mighty Lordofdragonss! ) In most cases I have much more than 3 spare pieces if I use some. Yes, I mostly buy them from BL. But sometimes I have to buy entire sets for minifig(s) or some particular part(s). Making a good custom figure is worth it. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
REVIEW: 8073 Manta Warrior
The Penguin replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the great review, WhiteFang! ) I also consider the set to be average at best, even takiung into account the Manta Warrior minigig. I got five, but that's really enough even for my evil customisation purposes. Strangely, but the most useful piece for me in the set is the plant. I've always concidered it to ge very good-looking piece for MOCs. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
"BANG!" Starts BTAS intro! ) Looks stunning, mate! ) Very well done, very Gotham-like! Thanks for showing it's interior, I know what to do now! ) Perhaps an extra floor is needed here (since gotham is a city with mostly tall buildings), but, nevertheless it's great! ) I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Gotham MOCs. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

The Penguin's Castle Minifigures..... )
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Definitely! ) I'd be pleased to make some. Thanks for your kind comment! ) It's time for a new part, ladies and gentlemen! ) My Erathian Project is growing and growing, so more heroes flock to my collectiuon! This time it's..... General Morgan Kendal. Following King Gryphonheart's murder, General Morgan Kendal temporarily assumed the throne until a new successor could be found. History shall remember him as the only ruler of Erathia who allowed the capitol city of Steadwick to be captured. HMMIII My version: (No idea why he's so happy! ) Now, comes a travelling water mage. ) (She's simple, still I like her look..... ) To the court of Erathia come the Ambassadors from all known lands! Meet some of them: Erathia, the main homeland of Antagarich's human population, lies in the center of the continent. Ruled by the Gryphonhearts since its foundation, it was represented by the Castle faction in Heroes III. Erathia also featured prominently in Might and Magic VII and the Heroes Chronicles. Founded by King Rion Gryphonheart, Erathia was invaded by numerous nations following the murder of King Nicolas Gryphonheart, resulting in the Restoration Wars. Championed by Nicolas' daughter, Queen Catherine Ironfist, Erathia was eventually led to victory against the Deyjans and later the Kreegans of Eeofol. Erathia's capital city is Steadwick. Capitol: Steadwick Former Rulers: Rion Gryphonheart, Allison Gryphonheart, Mad King Gryphonheart, Niven Gryphonheart, Nicholas Gryphonheart, General Morgan Kendal Last Ruler: General Morgan Kendal General Race: Humans Borders on: Tatalia, Krewlod, Bracada, AvLee, Eeofol, Deyja and Nighon (across the Nighon Straits and a tunnel system). Krewlod Ambassador. Krewlod, also known as the Wastelands, is situated in southwestern Antagarich. Inhabitated by Barbarians, Orcs, Ogres, Goblins and their kin, it was represented by the Stronghold faction in Heroes III. Nighon Ambassador. Nighon is a cavernous island east of Antagarich, across the Nighon Straits. Populated by underworlders, including Minotaurs, Troglodytes and Harpies, it is ruled by the Dungeon Overlords and the Warlocks, united under a single leader every few centuries. The first (known) such leader was the Lich Emperor Mederon. Later, the Dragon Queen Mutare took total control of Nighon and its armies, leading them in an invasion of AvLee and Erathia, but she was repelled by AvLee's Forest Guard in Heroes Chronicles: Clash of the Dragons and later slain. Nighon's overland is barren, mountainous and snow-capped in some regions. It is represented by the Dungeon faction in Heroes III. AvLee Ambassador. AvLee is the homeland of the Wood Elves, located at the northern regions of the continent. Ruled by King Eldrich Parson at the time of Might and Magic VII, it is home to Centaurs, Faeries and Dwarves in addition to the resident Elven race. AvLee is represented by the Rampart faction in Heroes III' and its inhabitants are descended from the Snow Elves of Vori, an isle due west of the mainland. AvLee once battled Erathia in a bitter conflict known as the Timber Wars, and also participated in the Restoration of Erathia war. The capital city of AvLee is Pierpoint, which lies within the Tularean Forest. Deyja Ambassador Pingvin. (And now my Castle sigfig..... ) Deyja is a barren land in mid-northern Antagarich, populated by Necromancers and the undead minions. Represented by the Necropolis faction in Heroes III, the Deyjans were never actually involved in war with other nations throughout the thousand years before the events of Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death. After being invaded by forces from AvLee, Erathia and Krewlod, Deyja then staged a plot to dominate Erathia by killing its king, Nicolas Gryphonheart, and raising him as their own undead ruler. This plot failed due to intervention from Erathia's heir, Catherine Gryphonheart. Deyja's "capital", Castle Gloaming, served as the headquarters for the "Evil" faction in Might and Magic VII. By the end of that game's events, Deyja's grip over the continent was almost totally undone. All four Ambassadors. ) I hope you liked them! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
The Penguin's Harry Potter minifigures..... )
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks a lot, Matn! ) It's always a pleasure to get comments from great HP fans, like you! ) Well, actually it's not a fingerprint, it's the paint that for some reason stayed liquid after 30 minutes! ) However I desided to leave it as it is to gve it a ghostly look. ) A bowler would be very welcome, no doubt! ) Thanks! ) Yes, I may give it a try..... There's also Peeves to be made! ) Thanks, comrade! ) Oh, you're too kind! Thanks you very much! ) Thanks a lot, BlueBard! ) Nearly headless! ) Thanks! ) Thank you very much! ) Stay tuned! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Ladies and gentlemen! ) I'm proud to present you my latest Castle MOC: Goblin Dynamite Placer (GDP). You may remember Burorin's Luminum Spider so here's the Goblin answer. ) Head Engineer Cranx proudly presents his latest vehicle to place dynamites in deep goblin mines. Suprisingly, the dwarves claim those mines to be their property, so this vehicle can be also used for military purposes. Very useful! ) Front view: Side view: Back view: Taking the dynamite..... ...... and placing it in the mine. ) I hope you liked it! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

LEGO: The Adventures of Clutch Powers
The Penguin replied to Ryan_T's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
It's four fingers crossed now! ) I've just watched the movie and that was absolutely BRILLIANT! ) That's the best word to describe it. it's relatively late here now, but it won't stop me from watching it again. The movie is in no way childish and is suitable even for AFOLS, which indicates the great work that the crew'd done with the film. I presume that more films are in order. And the theme based on it is more than welcome! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
At last. At last the CIS wins! ) Though I feel a bit sorry for clones, but knowing the future of the Republic, and remembering all those CIS-allied races that have been brutally massacred by the Republic..... I think that the Republic should know its place. Nicely done! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Review: 5918 Scorpion Tracker
The Penguin replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Now those were the times! That used to be one of my most favourite sets from the whole line. It was very vroooomable and remember playing with it for hours. It is one of those sets that even now, somewhat 10+ years (OMG, I'm so old! ) look great! ) Thanks for bringing back those memories! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
"Oh, that AlfredTheBrickster! Never fails to amaze me!" © Batman The Penguin Very well done! I just love all those little details you add to your MOCs. This church really gives me a feeling of being small, poor, provincial one. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Ha! Very nice, thanks for showing. Definitely, the Lion one looks much better. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Superb creation indeed! ) No special comments are needed here, I presume. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

A very fine vig indeed! ) I'd remmend to clean the painted parts a bit, but overall it's very nice! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Now, I don't think it's going to be a problem. ) Remember the Fantasy Castle? The dwarves had exactly the same color scheme as the Crownies, and still they were somewhat of a different faction, let allied with humans. Same could be done here. Forestmen have always been some kind of raiders and bandits (very much like Hood and his "merry men" ) and since LEGO obviously gives us a hint about "good" and "bad" guys (even let it be vague) I can easilly see Forestmen following the Dragons. Not to mention the use of trees and wood in Dragon Castle (or tower ). ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

I've always wondered why mages live in towers. But after seeing that one I wouldn't mind having one for me. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Indeed, and it might be wise for TLC to introduce another faction with sets to Lions and Dragons. ) Like they did it with trolls and dwarves. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

I have always considered that set to be one of the best LEGO sets ever done. ) And that is the only set that I never got out of the whole Adventurers line! Thank you very much, Rayman! ) Thanks! I hope you'll like the new part! ) Painting toes doesn't really work in most cases. ) Thanks! ) It's time for part three! ) Here, I had to use my imagination a bit, since the movie characters do not represent the book ones. ) House ghosts: Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, Helena Ravenclaw, Fat Friar, Bloody Baron. ) Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge. ) I hope you liked them! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
