The Penguin's Harry Potter minifigures..... )
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Ladies and gentlemen! Witches and Wizards! It's time for a new part! ) Turned out to be a pretty big one..... Fred and George Weasley. ) (I couldn't really find a proper use for that time-turner torso. ) Professor Pomona Sprout. ) Sibyll Trelawney. (Note ner sad and scared look. Much better in my opinion! ) Gilderoy Lockhart. (I've always imagined him to be somethinl like this.) Quirrell. Minerva McGonagall. ) (One of my most favourite characters! ) I hope you liked that part! ) Bonus: "Alastor! Is that a student!? We never use Transfiguration as a punishment!" Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Now, those white rooms make me think of an asylum, rather than a Castle! ) Nevertheless, it's well done. Keeo it up, товарищ! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Now, that's the best minifig of series #1 for me! ) Such an opportunity to give the Penguin a new suit! ) The new short wand looks really good. Is that the only set it appears in? Because I suppose that I've seen those somewhere else, if I remember correctly. They may be used by TLC for HP as well, I guess. ) And wasn't the figure suppose to have hairpiece in the set? Thanks for the review! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
The Penguin replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I really hope that something similar will be launched on EB again. Since I missed that one. But it was great fun to see all those wonderful MOCs! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -

Has LEGO Castle Become Cliche'?
The Penguin replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I suppose that Castle nowadays is turning into a good, predictable moneybag. In that I fully agree with ZO6. The sets vary in design and colours, but basically remain the same. Do you remember the hype around jester fig when it just vame to light? That happened because LEGO had introduced something really new, something never done before. Same with MMV. I suppose that in order the theme not to become tiresome or cliche, TLC should definitely find a good balance between "generic" trends in the theme and "heroes" ones. What I mean is that heroes-oriented KKII obviously failed (though there were some nice ideas there) while generic soldies classic sets no longer, IMO, may be very interesting to kids. A good attempt has been made in Fantasy Era, but, really that was not enough. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
The Penguin's Gotham Heroes. )
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks a lot! ) Stay tuned for the next part! ) Thanks. ) Yes, frankly speaking it never occured to me that the blue one is Hush-style one. Still it's my least favourite one, anyway. ) That gives me an idea to make Adam west Batman fig. ) Thank you very much, my lady. ) I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming part as well! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Ladies and gentlemen! ) I decided to dedicate my 1000th post to my most favourite theme: Batman! The purpose of this topic is to bring together all my Batman heroes minifigs, because it's hard to find them in the main topic. ) So I guess, bringing them to order was nessesary. ) Batman. (From left to right: Soviet Batman, 89' Batman, TDK Batman, Bruce Wayne, wounded Batman, 60-s Batman, LEGO Game Batman, BTAS Batman.) Robin. Tim Drake Robin, Tim Drake, BTAS Dick Grayson Robin, generic Robin.) Nightwing. (Dick Grayson, Nightwing.) Alfred and Ace the Bat-hound. Mechanic Earl and Lucius Fox. GCPD. (Bullock at home, Bullock at work, Gordon with his badge, Montoya.) Akham staff. (Frank Boles, Quince Sharp.) Rocky Ballentine and Soviet Superman. Mayor Hamilton Hill. General pic. ) Next time: Batman Villains! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Thanks, oky, for the pics! ) Now that's one nice headpiece! That would work greatly for THE BATMAN-style Killer Moth. From that one and only more or less good episode of the show about Team Penguin! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Review: 5956 Expedition Balloon
The Penguin replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That set used to be my most wanted set at that time (even perhaps my most anticipated and wanted set ever). When I got it for my birthday I was over the roof, I still consider it to be one of the best sets ever done by TLC. And that is one of the few sets that I did not dare to disaasemble. Thanks for bringing me back to those days! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Holy delays, Batman! ) It's been quite a while since I posted any new Bat-figures. So I guess I need to change the situation, so here's another part! ) Veronica Vreeland. (High-society snob and Penguin's ex-girlfriend.....) Mr. Freeze. (Note the shiny dark blue armor.) "You're going to a dark, cold place, Vreeland!" The Penguin's driver. (Formely a citizen of Kaznia.) If we have a driver, then we also need a posh car! ) And its owner. With a new umbrella! Yay! ) (Inspired by the game.....) I hope you liked that part! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Interesting. It just occured to me that Dragon Knights do not have a leader. I mean the Lions have a king, but dragons don't. However to my taste they'd better have a queen! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
The Penguin replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Yes, I appreciated the style. In fact, that was one of the reasons I've watched it 5 times! ) No doubt. That's why I personally think that it is always better to stay as purist as possible. And it sometimes requires even more talent, as you've said. Though if you really want some figures to be made, I can't resist and test my sculpting and paintingf skill! ) Again, very well done! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
I'd say that it really depends on the fig you're going to make. ) Say, Batman customs are usually very expensive due to unbelievable prices on BL. (Luckily I have bought tonns ofthem before the prices skyrocketed). If you use extra materials and assesories that may add $2-3 as well. However I think that $6.50 is a good price and definitely worth it. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
The Penguin replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Great figs, indeed! ) I can't say that I liked the movie, but your interpretation of the characters is superb. And what I like even more, iis that you went purist with these. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Really? I didn't know that. However I still think that I'll become an ideal villain as well as the Riddler. ) And of course I forgot to mention the advertisement in "The Gotham Times" with Iceberg Lounge. ) Here. I hope that's a hint and I'm not holding on the straw! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
-
My dear(d) minion! ) You made my day! Thanks a lot! ))))))) You always amaze me by your artistic talent but frankly sppeaking I never thought you would make me! ) That Penguin is superb! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
-
Michail Caine, who proved to be right before TDK release, BTW. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

Now, why would I have to be a mob? We've already been shown (90% that was it) Iceberg Lounge, so I may have a non-mob look. I think (taking into account Nolan's uncanonical views) that the best role for the Penguin is to be more of a businessman-type. Have we all forgotten the CEO from the first movie? He and me may always have some grudge against Wayne. Penguin may also have a role of underworld "treasurer", like in comic stories. Without actually taking part in all that fighting stuff. Not to mention Nolan's continuing point of corruption-fighting...... And who could be the best for the role of the source of that evil? ) As for the Riddler.... Well, the partnership of Riddler + Penguin reminds me instantly of my most favourite comic story "The Night of the Penguin". Where they've been working successfully together. ) So, I'm pretty sure that that'll be he best choice for villains. Not to rain on your parade, guys, but I agree with Batbrick, other villains seem to be too unrealistic for Nolan. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) P.S. Yes, I'd really love to see Catwoman too, but I'm afraid her reputation has been ruined by a certain film.... She needs some time, really..... )

Words...... cannot..... express..... I'm so excited! )))))))))) I should be in that movie!!!! (Me maniacally laughing now!) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )

The Penguin's Castle Minifigures..... )
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
As you wish! ) "Rise my minion!" ) "I serve.... R-r-r-r-r-r-r!" ) "Come, Jebediahs! We have a forum to rattle!" ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Very well done! I really like that small chapel of yours. It's not huge at scale and not too small, but at the same time full of nice little details. The cupola technique is very nice. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
-
Nicely done indeed! I see a hand of Warhammer fan here, am I right? Still, I suppose that micro details do not work well on LEGO minifigures: the difference in scales and style. However, nicely done. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
