Just a question: wouldn't it be better to have a seperate lotr sub forum? So people like who don't care for lotr would not need to filter the historic themes out. Well thinking of it, since the lotr moc's flooded the historic themes forum I actually don't really follow it anymore, even though it used to be my favorite one.

Great, now Lotr also infiltrates GoH forum. Since Lotr came out I am not watching the regular historic forum anymore. Lotr should really get its own forum imo. On topic: I love that cigarre there. Nice chill-out scene.

I think the reason for this is because you asked for something too special. I know the goal is to make people improve their building skill, but building 1-2 nice buildings, an elemental and a microscale background is really a huge task. Me personally didn't enter the contest because as you might already know I don't tear down my MOC's since they are going to be shown in the Woodward diorama. I would have loved to build something like a watchtower or an embassy. You know something I can integrate in my project later. But I really didn't want to invest into bricks for an elemental I won't use later. I really hope the next challenge will be less special.

This is really cool. I mean 20 entries on a small challenge made by a regular forum member is really awesome on its own. Looking at the overall quality of these entries I am really proud to be a member on GoH! I have seen many really isnpiring ideas in these entries. I think you will have a really hard time to choose a winner. There are som many entires that each would deserve to win.

Aliens have sent us a declaration of war. It is coded in a strange way and we mistook it for music and started dancing to it.

I don't own any trans plates. My original plan was to build the river like shown in DC's guide. However the trans plates needed for that come at a ridiculously high price combined with low availability in Europe. Importing from the USA would be also too expensive because of the increased shipping cost and customs. So this is the alternative and I actually like it a lot. I have seen pretty many fast streams in south Germany, which is a very inspiring area for me. At least this technique adds the feeling of "movement" to it. There will be elevations in the scene so it will make sense that the stream will be fast flowing. Thanks for your honest criticism anyway Captain BB, it is very welcome. Just in this case we have a different taste of things. I am sure to keep this technique for the stream.

I've started to build my capital city: Woodward

Hi! Here is the current state (15.09.2012) of Woodward:

I would like claim Gatehouse 1 and number 13 (Customs House). Since I did 12 earlier I could place these 3 buildings on one baseplate to show a section of that northern street.
