  1. Wonderful MOC! Great job!
  2. I have been thinking for quite a while now that I want to do some MOC featuring the past of Lord Mephistopheles. I never published anything about it, but I always imagined him with a Nocturnian origin. When Artorious Rex and his Flight of Dragons moved into Avalonia he took his chance and left Nocturnus and joined Avalonia. I often thought about a storyline like "Mephistopheles: Origins" which show Lord Meph in its "original (born) form". Yep, he is not human. So I could build MOC's for Nocturnus set in the "past" and show who Lord Mephistopheles was and why he left Nocturnus. Could we arrange that those free builds count as if I were a member of Nocturnus?
  3. Could you post larger pics of this? My eyes are too bad.
  4. It's great to see the progress. You have gone a long way. Congrats for everything! This is very motivational and inspiring!
  5. Looking at the claimed territory I think it is too much. We should leave enough space for future members.
  6. Welcome Lord Brickington! Good to see such an active member in our guild!
  7. Cool build!
  8. I envy you. On the other hand I can't wait to see the results!!! Would it be too much to ask of a pic of your LEGO room?
  9. Thanks Derfel! Regarding the cheese slope wall technique: I need to parctice more with it! Like how I can add tiles to wall and/or how I could make more interesting shapes. Imagine a side wall that shows a green dragon mosaic on tan backround! That would rock! Once I figure this out I'll make some more cheese slope MOC's.

  11. Honestly my biggets problems are the challenges themself. I joined GOH too late and missed out on the challenges like building a Watchtower. These new challenges are way too big for me. Since I keep my MOC's I can't finance such big challenges. On the other hand I think GOH is a great thing besides tha challenges. I'll keep building Woodward and once my settlement is big enough I will make scenes in it including sigfigs from other guilds and fellow Avalonians. Don't narrow down GoH to the challenges only. I think most of us love our characters and stories!
  12. Thank you guys. I promise I'll make better photos and then I will update this thread. The thing is that I can make good photos outside only in natural light. I never figured out how to make good photos indoors. Currently the weather here is so crap that I can't make photos outside.
  13. Wow this is lovely! Very well done, I just love that gate!
  14. Well I agree, too. I've built this one in a rush with what bricks I had left, so it's sub-optimal. :) I can do better detailing when I have time and bricks available. This build is just all about that "bridge" using some black string. I want to incorporate a better version of this into my Woodward diorama later on.
  15. Hi there! I got inspired by de Gothia today (Cleansing the Wood of Benoic) so I made this really fast vig. Stone bridges are very expensive so sometimes you need cheaper ways of crossing a stream. Especially in areas that are not visited that frequently. Woodward has come up with its own fast and cheap solution!
  16. Wonderful build with so much action!
  17. Cool builds and funny story. Is Varlyrio the Las Vegas of Historica?
  18. Hi there! It is depressing Monday with 15 cm snow and some icy rain on top of it so I didn't drove to work today. I was sorting my stuff and noticed that I totally forgot to post my watchtower. This was finished before my Hunters House and can be seen in the Woodward WIP thread. I thought it might deserve a thread on its own. This is/was my last cheese slope build for a good while. The Black Widow Inn, Stables and Watchtower were all built by Lord Mephistopheles the same time and belong to the Army of Woodward (The Black Widow Inn served as a Barracks for a while and officially still belongs to the Army. In times of peace it functions as an Inn again, but will be immediately re functioned as a barracks in times of war). That is why they all look the same. The Hunters House was financed by the Lord, but built by the locals later on, once the region was secured. So much for the story of Woodward now :) Since the weather is bad I had to photograph it indoors and I am not good at that :( On the picture you can see Lord Mephs elite troops as they are leaving the tower. You know some things are happening in Historica. Blood might get spilled soon...
  19. Unfortunately there will be no interior. The disadvantage of building with dark brown is the lack of different sizes for plates. Therefore many of the 2x6 plates etc turn inwards, preventing me from doing an interior. I hope LEGO will add more variety to dark brown.
  20. Yeah, sorry. It was late and I overreacted. Sorry for that.
  21. Thanks everybody for the nice comments! Well yes, I have been reading DC's guide a couple of times. Yet I don't want to think of myself as a DC clone. I think I figured out quite some things of my own, in especially the roofing, color scheme, the windows on the top story and also those cheese slope walls in earlier builds were not in DC's guide. Just saying.
  22. Hi there! My latest creation: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78140
  23. Hi there! Just finished my latest build. Loras the Hunter lives with his family in this house in Woodward, Avalonia. He has the privilege to hunt in Woodward, granted by Lord Mephistopheles himself. The Lord prefers to visit and hunt with Loras from time to time, thus he has a reserved room. Loras is also a secret member of the AAG, Avalonias most feared Assassins Guild. He is not only a Hunter, but a ruthless and cunning Assassin. I am looking forward to build some AAG scenes including Loras. I hope you like it! More pics on my Flickr!
