I put a M motor directly on the front axle with some reinforcements. This way, you have to remove the fake engine. IMHO, if you put a motor on the original axle in the cab, you will have a shitty steering due lots of gears with too much dead movements. You can move the tires from one side to the other before the gears and motor stop you. For the XL motor, there is the space for it, changing only one piece and using a simple axle join putting under the bed.

I have a motor that some times, doesn't work. After 2-3 tries, it works and do its job, but after 2-3 days, the same crap happens. Now I have the same problem on the excavator. One motor is completly dead. Anyone of you has the same problem?

I was building a 8x8, BUT i don't have enought cables (mine are too short). So, now it's a 6x6. Because of his modularity, it can be "upgraded" easy to 8x8. For now, I hope you enjoy my very first 100% self made trial truck. (Ok, the cab is from the mog, but it fits very good on it :P ) In the vid, a cameo of my dog named Java :)

With those tires it seems a mini bigfoot :)

But TLC use the ideas on cuusoo for build a model, they don't do 100% equals :) This idea is great, IMHO and maybe they build a non motorized version.
