That all sounds pretty complicated. Changing roles and allignments when such and such a thing happens. I do not think all that would have really happened. Maybe parts of it did, but I still do not trust you one bit. All the more reason to lynch you during the day if you cannot be verified/blocked/killed at night! How do those two statements fit together? Even if you did that, we could not believe you for certain, so I see no reason to keep you around. How convenient. I guess you are our only hope then. If I were the protector, how have I not proven myself? Because I did not protect all the innocent Campies from the evil actions of you and your scummy buddies? I think we should lynch you just to avenge all those poor friends we have lost. If anything, I would say that Batman killing off several Campies cannot have done our side much good and could be this 'traitor', but I shall not play your silly games. I will not. I do not see any reason at all not to lynch you as we cannot trust a word you say.

I am not really buying it. The number of times you claimed to be innocent earlier was massive, and then you turn around and say you were a Cultist but now there is some mysterious other target we have to go after instead of you. You also went into great detail about your bomb ability, which turned out to be just a big lie. If you are going to defend yourself properly, you should do it truthfully and honestly from the beginning. Starting by revealing one lie after another does not help your case when you want people to believe you. It is a good defence, I will give you that, but personally I would rather take a chance lynch an independent person who may well be our last Cultist than hope you will tell us all we want to know tomorrow. The independent excuse seems to just be a way around your lack of investigation rather than an actual probability.

I agree that Sheila should be the one to cast the first vote against herself. That way she can 'take one for the town', without worrying about her biggest fear of taking an innocent Campie with her. However, it should be considered that her bomb ability may actually affect the last person to vote for her, or a random lyncher, though it is unlikely she would have planned so far ahead so that she isn't at all saving a Campie by voting first.

Hmm. I have mixed feelings about last night's results. I think the majority of us were rather confident about Nicholas's lynch, and it definitely paid off. It came at a great price, however: yet another Virgin and an innocent. I take it one of those was killed by the vigilante? If so, they do not seem to be doing a very good job, and have not been since we entered this hole in the desert. Maybe it would be more beneficial for Batman to have a quiet night tonight if he is not certain of his target, especially when there are so few of us left. On a more positive note, I just found the headpiece from the Statue of Liberty costume I wore to a fancy dress party last week. Doesn't it make me look dashing?

What do you think is going to happen? Goodenarde is going to announce his results every morning? Maybe if you earned some trust for yourself, he would share them with you. What do you want me to do? I add what I can to the discussion, just as much as you do, and more than people who have been asleep for the past two days. Who says I am not working hard behind the scenes?

Slim, I will give you that, but keeping you around to learn which Virgins are being protected and hoping that you will help us by protecting one of them when you are actually a Cultist would be a severe mistake. I do not know about the others, but I do not want to take that chance. Do not worry. I know exactly where my vote is going. Vote: Nicholas Hoare (Fugazi) It is very clear that you are suspicious. Whether or not you are a Cultist, we will not know until tomorrow morning. To me, your defence seems reminiscent of those of the previously lynched Cultists: a good effort, but your solutions do not seem to be as likely as the grounds upon which we are lynching you. I think that as you are not a Virgin, and we have another protector among our ranks, we are not losing too much by testing your allegiance and sacrificing you.

It is a shame you did not make it even a tad believable so we may have been spared the news of losing yet another Virgin. I am sure there cannot be many left. So where do we go from here? Any actual results from the investigator or Virgin cop that might let us narrow down our choice of suspects?
