What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
ADHO15 replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
These are not good ideas for battlepacks. They are supposed to be army-builders and most people will not want armies of Ki-Adi-Mundi's and other Jedi. Generic troops are more likely to be seen in these sets. -
In these pictures (1,2,3), Gunray looks like he should be bley, so I think it is an appropriate colour. If they change it to sand green, I will not be bothered.
-
The Millenium Falcon is a different set to Home One but I know what you mean. The A-Wing rumoured to be in the set, however, could be mini-scale. I don't think they're important enough to be in a battlepack but I'm happy to be proven wrong again. Maybe a Hoth battlepack would be better even though we already have more Hoth troops of both sides. We've had Rep/CIS then Emp/Reb then Rep/CIS so I predict January 2010's battlepack will be OT again.
-
But I'm sure the description said it includes a control/briefing room and a hangar with A-Wing. I may be wrong but I think that's what it will include. The set doesn't interest me anyway so I don't really care. I'd rather have the Venator.

WOW! I didn't know my Jango was worth so much. I bought the whole set for only £25. Also, sorry to be picky but it's Zam Wesell, not Sam Wesell.
-
The bottom one is a Recuscant-class Destroyer of the CIS, not a Mon Cal. ship! And the second one is Home One. I think TLG may have a hard time recreating this unusual shape well in LEGO.

The Tri-droid was featured on the first rumour list way back last year after the release of the first Clone Wars sets in August. Most of if not all of the Summer 09 sets were on it too. I have a feeling the Tri-droid was replaced by the Corporate Alliance Tank Droid as that was due to include Battle Droids and Jet Troopers. Also, yes me too.
-
I think Slave I was definitely knocked out and it was between the others. From recent rumours, it sounds as though Home One has won but we can't be sure until the announcement in February. I wanted Palpatine's Arrest but seeing the figs in the Venator, I don't think they'll make it.
-
And the UCS Millenium Falcon like he said. Again, I'm pretty sure it's this.
-
There was an Octuparra Tri Droid rumoured to come out this year so there may be one not too far away. Early next year perhaps? I'd love one. I agree. Also, the cockpit of an AT-TE isn't supposed to fit 2 people.
-
This looks like it will be the clone's jetpack.
-
I'm pretty sure it is. He was rumoured to be in the set and the picture in the bottom-right corner shows someone in purple with a head the same colour as Greedo's. Nute Gunray and two/three battle droids are also in this picture. There is a pilot droid in the picture above. There doesn't appear to be a cockpit window though. The legs on this picture look pretty good as well. The set is a very good one, in my opinion and have wanted it since rumours began. 259 pieces suggests $30 but it maybe a little more as it contains two unique figs. I like the new NR-N99 Tank Droid but prefer the old design. It looks a lot like the droid in the film/show and I will still buy it anyway. Looks to contain two battle droids and two clone troopers with ordinary 'fuel tanks' on their backs as jetpacks. 216 pieces suggests $20. The Y-Wing doesn't interest me. It has a poor (but expected) fig selection (R2 doesn't even have new head!) and doesn't look very appealing. I will pass on it but I estimate, from 567 pieces, a cost of $50. The Venator looks brilliant and much bigger than it did on the prelim. picture. The fig choice is good but more would have been better. Still no clear pics of the interior so its still guesswork about that. This set is a definite buy for me if I have the money. I estimate $130 from a piece count of about 1169 if I remember correctly. The Echo Base set is a nice small set that should go for $20 for the 155 pieces. This may be higher though, because of the new taun taun which looks great. I prefer the other turret design from the Hoth Rebel Base. The 'trench' is alright and the gun is better than the old one. The Endor set is superb and I will definitely buy it now I've seen pics. The figs are amazing, the bunker is fab, the new AT-ST is great and the bikes are good too. 890 pieces for $90. Just my views on the new sets!!!

He means $620 (which is still rediculously high and the set wouldn't interest me at all). In some countries they use a comma instead of a decimal point eg. £10.00 = £10,00 or $60.00 = $60,00. Get it?

Good idea. I think an escape pod will definitely be included but I doubt TLG will put that much thought into it to include a cockpit piece. I'd happily be proved wrong however!
-
Aren't they the pieces that were used for the escape pod in the Millenium Falcon? I may be wrong, I don't have the set. EDIT: Yes, they are. Here is a reference pic. It looks quite small. Does anyone know how many figs can fit in it?

Podrace: VERY unlikely. Gungan battle pack: I'll join you there. When the MTT was released I didn't have any gungans to fight all the droids that came in the set as I missed the original Gungan Patrol set. I'd like a gungan on a kaadu and another 3 or 4 to fight as well.
-
Well you didn't ask that. I don't know. Have you asked them about the 2009 sets. It has only been 13 days since the beginning of 2009 (I know they were released before that). Try being patient and checking back in another two weeks or just buy them online.
-
I don't see a question in there. And if you are asking if anyone else has had a problem like this, my answer is: I don't know. We don't have any LEGO stores in the North of England. Sorry to be so unhelpful but you say "I got a question" and then don't ask one.

I think many fans, although pleased about an Aayla fig, would be disappointed that they would get Plo Koon's starfighter without him in it. People who can't afford a gunship would perhaps rather have Plo Koon. A plain blue Delta-7B with Aayla, however...
-
Kit Fisto's fighter is very similar to Ahsoka's fighter released not long ago so I doubt we'll see another like it. Hopefully, Kit Fisto (CW Version) will appear in a set soon.

It's Solar Sailer. TLG calls it this on Shop@Home ( ha ) and it's called that on Wookieepedia. I've pre-ordered mine. (Joking) I hope it's close to the size of the other minifig-size ones but I doubt it will be. I missed them both and the UCS one was too big and expensive (not a price rant). I probably won't get it if it's to scale with the TIE Advanced x1 from the Death Star set. MINIs don't interest me. Still hoping, however. btw. I've not seen or heard anything about it being featured in the Clone Wars series.

There are some good ideas here. There seems like a lot of figs for no. 5 and it may be better to include some Cloud City rooms. On no. 6, a Boss Nass could be included. Other than that list is great but the PT ones are unlikely to be seen anytime soon as TLG is focused on CW and OT this year. Maybe next...
-
I also hope for an Aayla Secura and Ki-Adi Mundi as well as Saesee Tiin. I think these are all important Jedi that we have not yet seen. Aayla is featured in Clone Wars episodes 13 & 14 at least and so we have the most chance of seeing her, in my opinion. The tank droid set is the most likely of the Summer 09 range but that is still unlikely. I can think of some past examples where TLG has not stuck to the exact image. (eg. Cloud City) I think expanding the scene this way would be good although the overall detail would have to decrease a lot by doing this. His name is Commander Stone

I concur and I like the idea of a vulture droid to accompany it. I hope, if there is one to be released, it will include the vulture droid from the Ahsoka's Starfighter set. I like this design and hope it's the final design TLC will create as there have been so many different variations. It should include Grievous, different types of B1 and B2 battle droids and maybe Anakin, Obi-Wan, Dooku and Palpatine if it is based on episode 3. Maybe a MagnaGuard too!
-
I don't. I don't go for UCS sets due to their price, size and lack of figs and playability. Also, I don't think it's an important enough vehicle to make into a UCS. TX-130S Fighter Tank, actually... Only joking, but I do agree on the size. I don't think the shuttle will be to small. I hope at least. I don't think there will be much of an interior if any. It isn't shown in the series (from what I can remember). It'll probably just have space for one fig on the turret on top (and space in the back to store the speeder bike I hope comes with it but probably won't ).
