Thank you for this very fine review which you have done here. Although I am not a Minecraft fan, but the way your review illustrates simply tempts me to get it just for 'parts-pack'.

MOC(s) - Civilization Series - Machu Picchu
WhiteFang replied to Matija Grguric's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of your Civilisation MOCs in here! It is very enriching and beneficial to see such rich historic structures and landscape in LEGO building scale. Thank you for sharing! -
Nuju Metru, that is a very impressive project. I enjoyed every aspect of your creations and with your excellent photography skills, it made even better! For myself, I love the Ruin of Osgiliath and Edoras. I preferred structures and buildings.

Happy Birthday Sieggy!!! Have a great one.

Collectible Minifigures Trading Suggestion
WhiteFang replied to Donut's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
You may only do your updating of announcement in this thread instead of the TCMP topic. Post moved. -
Yes, please! I am fully aware of this event and if there are pictures, it is always very helpful. I haven't gone down yet but it is great to create awareness.

I can totally understand that frustration but there are ways to overcome it. There are also other LEGO specialty stores in Singapore, and you might want to try your luck too. I will think that those 'desired' ones are no longer around in those opened boxes, but still, you could just give it a try from time to time.

Excellent review with huge congrats to you again, for achieving the golden badge of becoming a very fine teacher in the Reviewers Academy. I am definitely getting this Seaside House. I really think it complements all of the existing Creator sets very well and to see this set in those fine pictures of yours, had certainly made me determined to get it.

Haha, interesting set, but I don't think it appeal to those who have already gotten them. It is a good opportunity to grab it for those who had missed it and I will think the Series 2 Surfer is very much appealing. Like before, I had done my own grouping like this to show the relevance of those minifigures together. Same sentiments too.

I rarely comment or even bother to support any LEGO CUUSOO projects since not many of the current projects interest me greatly. Unlike any other kinds, this DC-3 is an excellent piece of work which is remarkable as you managed to capture it and target it as a form of celebration of world aviation from the adult interest. Similar like the Sopwith Camel's model sculpture, this appeals me more as it enable minifigures to be placed in the aircraft. Not to mention the gears and the delicious looking chrome. I wish you all the best in this project. You got my vote as well.
-
I just wish they could just sell this as one complete set, to tourists who are there and visiting the games...
-
You could be right. People including myself are always excited for the new stuff but if the new stuff do not 'wow' you from a generalised approach, then it will probably lose its appeal instead of a progressive liking towards the newer series. I am sure you are aware that there are individual polling topics for the mentioned series to reflect the most liked CMF minifigure! Go take alook and you will be pleased to see what the community in general, prefer.

Then, in this case, I will like to share these recent new images that is taken last week. Pictures always tell a thousand words! (official link to the store)

Great job everyone! I am looking forward to see more of these superb images.

Thanks guys! I realised I had left out Target by accident. As for WalMart's availability, I obtained the information from Brickset and it was indicated under the set information. I had adjust the content slightly to reflect those changes. I also don't mind to pick up more of these wonderful polybags!

Happy Birthday Big Cam!

Hello everyone, It is great to be back to do a small LEGO medieval castle review especially since I had not done one for a very long time and I had always wanted to re-visit Castle sets. So, this time round, I am sharing my thoughts on this one of the best Castle polybag assortment ever to be released under the LEGO Kingdoms theme and personally, I don't think you can find any reason to go against it. Perhaps, only the price consideration. Without further ado, let's view and read the rest of the review. Name: 30062 Target Practice Theme: LEGO System / Castle / Kingdoms Year: 2011 Pieces: 31 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD $3.99, GBP NA, EURO NA, SGD NA Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original polybag image of the 30062 Target Practice Back view of the original polybag image of the 30062 Target Practice This is quite an unusual sight but perhaps this polybag is meant for exclusive distribution in the United States. I will assume the cut-out coupon at the back of the polybag which entitles to one free-child ticket with per adult ticket purchase to LEGOLAND California and LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Too bad, this offer expired last year and I felt this is a very good promotional offer for the US residents and incoming tourists. Training... training and more training Getting this polybag and build your archer army together with whole load of great assortments. This one of a kind LEGO Kingdoms polybag is limited in distribution and it is only heard to be only made available and exclusive in the US to Target and WalMart outlets. I had not seen this polybag in any other LEGO giveaway promotions or the famous UK Daily Mirror/Sun Newspaper giveaways. Based on this point, it is pretty exclusive and I do believe it can be bought off-the-shelf in these mentioned outlets. Please correct me, if I am wrong on this aspect. Beside the 30062 Target Practice polybag, the 30061 Attack Wagon is the only other polybag in this theme. By the way, I am still short of the other Kingdom polybag. Hope I am able to find one soon. Apart from these 2 designs, there are no more of such designs for such a small scale polybag packaging and if you ever see it in the check-out counter, you shouldn't hesisate to grab a few and put them in the basket especially these polybags are similar to an impulse set equivalent. Still, we don't get such good deals in Singapore and most of the countries worldwide. Instruction Manual (Front) Instruction Manual (Back) The content of the sealed package You get plentiful of useful parts and bricks which I will be highlighting below. I am very confident that many of you are pleased with the parts assortment despite of its limited quantity. After building, these are the remaining spare parts. Most useful LEGO parts and accessories Why am I recommending this set? LEGO medieval fans who are out to hunt for good decent parts to add into their LEGO bins, ought to consider this. You get 2 pearl coloured spears, round-brim helmet, quiver and crossbow which will be equipped onto the crossbow archer minifigure. You also get 2 tasty delicious green apples and a piece of chicken drumstick that can be easily used in any kind of environments. LEGO minifigures do need to eat. While, the remaining parts are the dark-green foliage, flame-type plumes, telescopes and a brown crate. I will love to stock those parts up as these are some of the stuff which helps to beautify your MOCs. Meet the trainee archer You may find this minifigure exclusive to this polybag, merely because of the combination given and there is nothing very special about this minifigure. All I can said is this archer must complete its archery training and ready to be send into the next fighting platoon which will be used for the army. I also like the fact that this minifigure comes with and the backprinting and this is not like any kind of sub-par quality design minifigure. Target practice board This target practice board is very simple, yet able to deliver the simplicity of the bright environment of a training set-up for archers. Situated near the apple tree, the round distinct coloured wooden board in yellow with the bullseye target right in the middle to hone archery skills to shoot like those Elves sharpshooters. Mini-camp site After completing a busy tiring training, the trainee archer can sit down in his own mini-camp site to enjoy a chicken delighting feast. I will likely break all of those and put it into my parts bins. Is she looking at me? I need to impress her with my archery skill To conclude, this polybag is not those typical exclusive kind of design and set-up. Instead, this polybag targets at both army builders who are also interested to get loads of decent minifigures' accessories to be stocked up for future usage. I also like to have more of those, if the pricing is reasonable especially if you hardly can get any decent polybags with limited building parts which boost great attraction. So, if you ever come by, don't think twice and grab it. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Pretty fun to play around with this small little scene like the concluded scene.) Design: 9/10 (Design is very simplistic for a polybag scale, yet boost excellent minifigures' parts and accessories.) Price: 8/10 (Price is reasonable but unfortunately this is not available worldwide.) Overall: 8.3/10 (LEGO Kingdom fans ought to get this and add it into their collection.) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr and My Brickshelf (When moderated)

Dear Eurobricks Community, I will like to invite all of you are who are LEGO Military enthusiasts to come forward to share their very own military scenes, set-up, interesting, funny, anything at all that could be use to relate military (army, navy, air-force, etc of any kind) context to be shared which made use of LEGO elements and customised vendors that are used to supplement LEGO. Do note that proper photography techniques is to be practised like any other Eurobricks Photography topics. Below are some of my own personal photos which had made used of BrickArms accessories,

To all members in this discussion, let's keep this civil and constructive. We are entitled to our opinion but I will not be very pleased if any members wish to stuff each other with their opinions repeatedly by insisting who is right and who is wrong. I hope and I wish the members in this discussion are able to see this fine thin line. There are lots of factors in terms of progression which I had included, namely minifigures' design, relevance of existing and exploration of new LEGO themes, integration of existing LEGO themes, introduction of new minifigures' parts and accessories, etc. All of these factors have been emphasis and highlighted before in my reviews for the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series. If you have the time, please take a look at this index which Rufus had done for this forum. Lots of efforts were being made to reach to our community and lots of polling data had been done. I just don't have the time to sit down and crunch those data into useful information. For example, like the polling data obtained for this question in the Series 7 review, 252 Eurobricks members had responded so far, 133 members had indicated Series 7 to be the best released Series ever and that is more than 50% of the voters. In this question, each member is forced to choose their best series ever based on the current releases! Each member is given a choice to do so. If you had compared and integrate all of my polling results together, you will see a natural progression of the Eurobricks community showing a huge support and liking for the new Series as TLG continually releasing them. I had measured and I am intending to measure it as it goes on! The polls are not closed and any members who had not voted, will have a chance to increase the quantum. I don't speak for myself but lots of things can be seen from the raw data. It takes time to come up a feasible study and one of the metholdgy is through data gathering through large random sampling population. As I had said again, this is the most appropriate way to see the overview without being exposed to self-selection bias. If I am still studying, I will be doing my papers for this research. Bland? Hmm, I beg to differ. I agree with you that Series 1 is my favourite. I had always been a huge fan of Series 1 until the recent Series 7 overtook it, but that's me and I had said enough of it before. Each of us have different preferred preference over the wide array of Series that are made available to fans and consumers. Each of us had a different take and there are bound to be people who like and dislike. There is no single product or design which can aims to satisfy all fans and consumers. There are bound to be disappointments and what TLG could do is to minimise the amount of disappointment that it could caused to these target segments in the global market. Distribution is not up to us to decide. It is the company logistic operations who decides it. We can always feedback to the appropriate channel to TLG by providing feedback to the LEGO Customer Service which will be directed to the right personnel in the department. In life, we don't have a control over the external environmental dynamic factors and we do not know their policy. Nope. There is nothing unique about blind bag packaging. Instead, I am not a huge fan of that but I had came to accept the fact of blind packaging remains as long the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series exist which is determined by their Marketing personnel. My definition of unique span way beyond the mere surface and my appreciation for this theme is more than just the tip of the iceberg.

Are you guys discussing and referring to Stroget for this LEGO Brand retail store?

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
WhiteFang replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, I think let's all not get too anxious until we got a firm source. I am sure we will be able to find out more of the upcoming mysterious Series 8, after the CMF Series 7.5 aka Team GB is launched! It is not too far before the London Games commence. Until then, I appreciate that the hype is well-contained, so I won't get into any further distractions and focusing on CMF Series 6 and 7 first. But, that's just me. -
I will chip in abit of thoughts into this discussion even though I have been supporting it all this while. Till this present moment, I am and will continue to support 100% on the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series! May the series ever continue to grow and prosper. It opens up many new windows of endless imagination and possibilities. It can only be done through the LEGO CMFs without re-creating new or evergreen LEGO themes to incorporate those minifigs in them. I see this as a chance for LEGO to create a brand new market for this hype and it hit right across all LEGO fans and collectors regardless of the themes that you always have been enjoying. I don't see why it is not worth the hype and I see this theme is a complete new class of its own. And, LEGO had done an excellent job to create a new group of collectors based on the existing market. In short, it make us go crazy all over it, even right up to Series 7 and we still continue hunting for it, while buying our core collections. Why is that so? It is not just a simple novelty that can't stand the test of time. Instead, it stood up to the challenge in the uncertain environment. 2 years ago, the entire LEGO Collectable Minifigures Theme is unheard of and people don't know what to expect! Look right here and right now, are you happy with the progress? Be rational and think about it. I will say as long LEGO wish or intend to let this theme lives on, I will say go for it and I am intending to give my fullest support for its continuation.

And, this goes elsewhere. Topic moved. WhiteFang

Ehh, I am not the one who give you that though? Could it be the elusive ISC?

Awesome great stuff. Looks like we also have the same vision of integrating the ADU with the LEGO CMFs Space Marines, etc.
