  1. Interesting new polybags. Thank you for sharing.
  2. After giving some thoughts and some private chatting, I am going to change my mind... Unvote: Petey Panda / Darkdragon It doesn't matter and I just don't want to make a rash decision based on the sheer pressure of bandwagon... I will make up my own mind...
  3. Like Shawna, I shared her sentiments... I am not very comfortable to vote in Day 1, but in order to progress and not to spilt the votes any further, I strongly believe that we, the townies must stand on an united front. Thus, to prevent further spilting of the votes, I will stand by the current majority. I will also stand-by to unvote, if necessary. Sorry Petey Panda... Vote: Petey Panda / Darkdragon So, Petey, this is where your defense kicks in and I believed you have a few viable options. If you truly a townie as you claimed to be, then please don't give up this fight and give up on us. I truly understands that this is the most critical moment where I do believe that perceived truth might prevail. You can share with us on some of your own important info that you think is applicable to us, and will not give the cultists or whoever an upper-hand. Please do so. In your own inner-circle, who you think you can really trust among us on your own discretion, please share those vital information with them as it will serve to help to piece the clues together in later days and to counter attack false claims because a true townie facing death and convicted will never lie. Or, totally give up on us and refuse to share anything concrete and that will be the biggest failure for our entire team win. No one enjoys facing a mob lynch, so if you have any reservations... Please don't hesiste any longer.
  4. Happy Birthday def! Have a great and enjoyable one with your family!
  5. Less than half had cast their votes and the votes are swinging in different directions. In all seriousness, I will think Day 1 is one of the most hardest lynch ever especially when we are all pretty clueless at the same level except the cultists who are probably scheming their way through their teeth... Still, I don't get a very sound and strong instinct to cast my vote just yet, on just mere groundless speculations. I need time to ponder even though time is not on our side.
  6. I gave you, RA Anniversary 'writer'
  7. I got both. And, both are 'must' to have!
  8. I just felt that one thing or another, you might have a good hunch on this and I really hope it won't add to our increasing woes.
  9. Just to let you guys know that the first post is up-to-date, with the EB members' listing.
  10. A huge congrats to all of the deserving winners. Well done.
  11. Not only myself, but there are a few others who had lived and survived through the dark age of Spring Haven. Those were some difficult times. I am not entirely sure but I could safely bet that those are just past events and now we are facing a 'brand new' threat. Just got to figure out why those cultists want to revive evil... Those evildoers are just sick and we are supposed to be just mere loving harmless animal characters.. Yes, I will, my dear Portia.
  12. We, Fabulanders wub you!! Thanks buddy and now go have some decent dinner!
  13. So, this is how it all begins in Winter Haven, just when I thought we are not not going to face any sort of those crazy fanatic stuff, now we got an insane bunch of cultists who are bending to resurrect some evil foxy spirit... This is certainly not very encouraging for us. I supposed we don't have much clues at hand. How about some breakfast? I could get my wife, Portia to help me to share some bountiful lots of fishes that I had caught in the upstream of the river. We got to have energy to put our brains together and to do so, we need to feast on our breakfast first.
  14. Ahh, that's much clearer and better. Thank you.
  15. OHhhh, since you know what, if you are the law enforcer and the best, if you proclaim to be. Then, please indicate it in your badge. Put that detail inside your EB member's signature for easy identification. Please read the fine print.
  16. Do I know you??? I don't recalling seeing your name in the townhall signature registrars.
  17. Hello everyone, It is a surprise to see myself to review a LEGO Friends polybag. Although this is my first attempt to review the LEGO Friends theme, but I always had a fair interest over this lovely new theme. Furthermore, it is not always common to see this available in Singapore LEGO shops where I can just pick it up at a reasonable price with no regrets. In fact, I was very pleased to get this polybag. Read on to find out why. Name: 30101 Skateboarder Theme: LEGO System / Friends Year: 2012 Pieces: 32 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD$4.99, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD$6.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original polybag image of the 30101 Skateboarder Back view of the original polybag image of the 30101 Skateboarder Mia is learning skateboarding and she is doing very well I wanted to prepare this review for the Eurobricks theme month: Summer of Friends! but I did not make it in time, so I saved it for the fourth Reviewers Academy anniversary. There are a couple of nice Friends polybags available in parts of the world through different forms of distribution. Unfortunately, I do not have the chance to acquire the rest yet, but I am still glad to see this polybag available in local shops. This polybag revolves around one of the Friends characters called Mia, and she is a very active sports person who enjoys the great outdoors. In this case, she is taking up the skateboarding hobby and she is intending to show her friends how good she really is when she skates and eating her ice cream sundae at the same time. Instruction Manual (Front) Instruction Manual (Back) The content of the sealed package These are the building content which is contained in this lovely polybag. You might noticed that the Friend's minifigure torso and the leg parts are packed separately. I will think these are some of the parts that are made exclusively elsewhere, other than normal production sources for these specialised parts. After finishing the built, these are the remaining spare parts. The new Friends minifigure building parts Aww, this is the first time that I had physically handled the new LEGO Friends minifigure. The LEGO Friends minifigure is based on the minifigure's fundamentals, where there is a hairpiece, a head, a torso and the leg piece. The design and the ergonomics of the Friends' minifigure is much different than the traditional LEGO minifigure and personally I find this a successful breakthrough to position this group of Friends minifigures as the new 'dolls' minifigures. In some ways, I find this new design is pretty appealing and attractive to the new female children market, where they had never been exposed to LEGO before. In my opinion, I find this much better than Belville or Scala. Meet the cheerful looking Mia This is the cheerful looking Mia. Even though Mia had appeared in a number of LEGO Friends set, but the same lime cropped trousers with light blue top is only available in these 3 sets. Here is a image of the sideview of Mia and backview of Mia. Take a look at the fine details of Mia's facial expression. Taking measurement of their height Mind no attention, to the guy on the left. I am just merely taking a height sample of the traditional LEGO minifigure against the new LEGO Friends minifigure. As you can see that Mia is much taller, even with just wearing mere scandals on her feet. Mia also can don other LEGO hairpieces from other minifigures and similarity, her hairpiece can also be used interchangeably with others. The new LEGO Friends hairpiece is rubbery feeling instead of hard ABS plastic. The very simple built-up This is a very simple layout of the entire built where you are able to get the ice cream sundae, flower pot, a small tiny section of the walking pavement with lightings on a table and a fire hydrant, plus the cute blue skateboard. The new LEGO Friends Flower pedal design I seriously was not aware of the new LEGO Friends Flower pedal design until I opened this polybag. I didn't pay much attention to the new parts and most of the time, I could only registered it permanently into my head when I actually came across it physically. Through some search, I realised that this new design is actually available in many sets and it is not entirely new. I really didn't take careful notice of it and now I am glad I did as the new ones are actually hard ABS plastic and sturdy. Mia is hanging out with her new cool friends To conclude, this is a very fun polybag set that give a very good introduction of what LEGO Friends is all about as I am able to establish my thoughts of the new LEGO Friends' minifigures designs with much better handling through this purchase. I am impressed with the new design and I find the parts assortments are useful. I don't find it a problem of integrating the new LEGO Friends into my collection. I guess it is only a matter of perspective. Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed purchasing this small little buy especially when it cost lower than the smallest LEGO Friends building set and it could give you a good insight whether you will think you will enjoy this new LEGO theme. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Can be quite simple and fun to play with.) Design: 8/10 (Simple design that can be used for skateboarding purposes.) Price: 8/10 (Reasonably priced in local LEGO store context.) Overall: 8/10 (Get this polybag even if you are not a LEGO Friends collector and you will be surprised how much you enjoyed it.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. 18. Is it really that bad? I thought it was just part of classic mafia history.
  19. Hello everyone, I will like to take this opportunity to build something small since I hardly have much available free time to build something big, so I decided to look through my LEGO polybags collection. And, here I am holding at this lovely little bag. Thinking to myself, this polybag will make an ideal display piece at my office table in my workplace. Got to thanks my UK Eurobricks buddies for making this possible, Dunjohn, Fugazi, Rufus and Slyowl. Thank you all. Name: 30161 Batmobile Theme: LEGO System / Superheroes / DC Universe Year: 2012 Pieces: 45 Minifigs: 0 minifigure Price: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD N.A Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original polybag image of the 30161 Batmobile Back view of the original polybag image of the 30161 Batmobile This is Batman's iconic and advanced small-scale Batmobile Witness the iconic Bruce Wayne aka Batman, standing beside one of the most iconic and advanced looking Batmobile! Alright, I just noticed that this polybag is to build a model and there is no minifigure included in this built. Although this Batmobile may not be built to minifigure's scale but this miniature design makes a fine Batmobile in a small scale design. This polybag is part of the May 2012 Sun Newspaper promotional giveaway, where UK residents manage to have a chance to acquire it in this one of the best giveaways for LEGO enthusiasts. Pretty fortunate for them to get this polybag through this great opportunity. Instruction Manual (Front) Instruction Manual (Back) The LEGO building content These are the laid out content of building up this lovely little LEGO Creator-type vehicular set. The building process is similar to those LEGO Racers (Tiny Turbos) type. After finishing the built, these are the remaining spare parts. Useful vehicular building parts I find the above parts to be quite useful to build small vehicular designs especially those parts can help to shape the grooves of the vehicular side with the wheels in it. Building process of the Batmobile As you can see the building illustration above, the entire built is streamlined and modelled closely with the existing Batmobile design and intend to stay true to it. To be honest, with the total parts of 45 building parts, it is very good that they are able to model something quite identical into this miniature scale. I like the front of the Batmobile, but I find the parts at the end of it, which look a little off as I will hope it is not flushed straight to the ground. Still, there are plentiful of different variations and designs of the Batmobile, and here is a Google Image results search, where you can see the whole list of it. Different views of the Batmobile Robin, what do you think of the Batmobile prototype? Looks to me like a Batmobile kiddie ride? To conclude, this polybag may just be good for a display set for those enjoy viewing the bigger designs in smaller perspective. Even though the biggest enticing factor is to have a minifigure in it, but such designs don't come with minifigure in it and in the end, what else could make this polybag appealing to others. I will feel that the charm and beauty of the LEGO Batman license will essentially be driving these polybags to sell like hotcakes. Any licensed theme, even if it is of such small scale that is not meant for minifigure, the licensed appeal will still attract buyers and collectors to acquire it. For me, I find this polybag a very good display piece for me to push the small little vehicle and crash it to the end of the table when I am feeling stress. Not a very healthy way to de-stress the mood. Given the limited parts, even though the design is not entirely accurate but still got to give the thumbs up for being able to do something close to the real stuff. Summary review Playability: 7/10 (Not minifigure scale but can be quite fun to use it for pushing it around.) Design: 7/10 (Although the front is nicely done, but I find the rear to be a little off the mark.) Price: 8/10 (Price can be quite reasonable if you are able to get it at a decent rate.) Overall: 7.3/10 (Get this if possible especially when you get it at a reasonable price to add into your own Batman collection.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr and My Brickshelf (When moderated)
  20. Hello everyone, It's great to be back to review something interesting and for this special treat, I ought to thank our Eurobricks Special Themes Moderator, Rufus and Eurobricks Friends Regulator, Pandora for being such so awesome to send this tiny little polybag as a gift. Thank you both. Being a strong supporter and avid collector of the recent LEGO Marvel Superheroes sets, which is released for the Avengers film. I had to say that I do enjoy every aspect of the different comic characters being shown in our favourite LEGO minifigures' designs. Without further ado, let me share my review of this little polybag which is part of the Avengers line-up. Name: 30165 Hawkeye with equipment Theme: LEGO System / Superheroes / Marvel Universe Year: 2012 Pieces: 20 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD N.A Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original polybag image of the 30165 Hawkeye with equipment Back view of the original polybag image of the 30165 Hawkeye with equipment The legendary Marvel sharpshooter This incredible legendary Marvel comic character, is famous for its sharpshooting skills and is extremely good with his customised powerful bow to deal deadly shots. This polybag was not commonly available through those large-scale promotions in certain countries. I am really glad that I had the chance to own this uncommon polybag which is now part of my collection. There are currently only a couple of polybags available in the Superheroes theme and putting the sister polybag of the Avengers series, is the other 30163 Thor and the Cosmic cube. I will think by buying these polybags is actually one of the affordable way to acquire those superheroes without buying those LEGO sets. However, I will think that I need to get them is part of completing the entire theme. Instruction Manual (Front) Instruction Manual (Back) The LEGO building content These are the laid out content of building up this lovely little display set. After finishing the built, these are the remaining spare parts. There is not much building to be done for the equipment rack but there are a couple of useful parts like the handcuffs, 1x1 circular orange light, binoculars, communication device and even those dark grey bricks are useful for your parts bins. Marvel Superheroes Character: Hawkeye Clint Barton, going by the codename of Hawkeye and commonly known to others and famous for his weapons specialisation through his bow and arrow. His black sleek outfit is nicely designed and could even used for those military operatives attire. If you noticed, Hawkeye left hand is wearing a black glove which he used it as a form of wrist support whenever he pulled the string back. Hawkeye is only made available in the other 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape and the 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout. Back-printing of Hawkeye I just got to love Hawkeye's backprinting. It is totally amazing with the details of the arrows quiver at the back. His customised arrows contain various nasty surprises like the acid arrow, blunt arrow, cable arrow, electrical arrow, net arrow, smoke arrow, USB arrow, etc. All customised for various execution purposes. Did I also mention that his aggressive dual head expression is so cool? It is really encouraging to see so much fine details in this character. Don't mess with him when he is serious Hawkeye's bow Hawkeye's bow is not your regular bow which is used for typical medieval bows which can be found in LEGO Castle sets. In this case, this is a very special design which is designed for this character. This bow allow Hawkeye to retract and release the bow through placing his arms at the holder by pushing the force front and back to form the shape of the bow. Pretty cool, even though I don't really know the detailed mechanism since I could only recall it from the movie. Evolution of bow & arrow This is just a fine example of how the evolution of bow and arrow had developed over the course of time. We had seen the commonly used wooden bow, followed by the new wooden long bow for the elves and now in modern age, we see this new bow technology for superheroes. Mounted wall filled with equipment This is a pretty simple looking rack that is used to mount Hawkeye's equipment. I am quite sure this is part of a bigger building structure but since this is meant to be sold as part of a polybag, a mini section of the building is actually used to market this polybag together. These are the essential kits that I carry when I go for my mission To conclude, this is a very nifty nice looking polybag which I had enjoyed it very much in terms of introducing one to the Superheroes universe. Although Hawkeye is not a major popular comic characters unlike others, but this character alone can be used out of the superheroes context and can be also used for other military purposes. In some sense, I find this minifigure 'generic' enough for me to customise it. Not only that, the entire built come with decent set of accessories including the communication device, handcuffs, binoculars and the fire extinguisher. All in all, I am enjoying this and it definitely worth buying more to amass more of Hawkeye minifigures, if possible. Summary review Playability: 6/10 (Not much to play on its own and it can only be played with other bigger superheroes set together.) Design: 9/10 (Good simple design with pretty good building assortment and parts.) Price: 7/10 (Not sure of the price but I sure I hope it is reasonable.) Overall: 7.3/10 (Get this polybag if you are able to find it at an affordable price.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr and My Brickshelf (When moderated)
