  1. First of all, Izzy thanks for taking your time to do this comic for the EB Community. The comics' structure and layout is very well designed, with smooth transitions panels across each level. The graphical approach is rather attractive, and reminds me much on those short comics strips which we could find in the newspapers or comics book. The scenes' setup is done neatly to reflect the overall flow of the comic. Overall, the content and direction of this comics, reminds me of Harry Potter comic relief where we could look the other side of Harry Potter. Good start, for your very first comic. Looking forward to more of these. Do keep an open mind and stay frosty.
  2. Teddy, this is one surprising entry, coming from a background familar with Castle Buildings. Thanks for submitting and particpating this contest. You sure demostrate your great understanding towards this contest by arranging two of such baseplates together to illustrate a lively Classic Town Parades. Oh my gosh, I love parades, and this Prince Carnival is just wonderful. It reminds me of those Christmas Parades at the end of the year. At the pavement featuring both Classic Town buildings, are really suitable for this scene, with classic distinct color elements such as yellow, red and white combinations, and adding a little modern touch onto its windows. I believe the left building is selling assorted torsos, I meant clothings and accessories for our fellow minifigs. Come to think of it, I am sure these party lovers attending the parade could have gotten those Classic Space and Classic Pirates' costumes in this shop. While the other shop at the right looks more like a government offical building at the first look. When I viewed the back of the shop, somehow it's telling me that it's like a resturant or bar. The snack house and bus stop are some nice little touch added to the sides of the baseplate. To give a finishing touch, the center garden is really very nice decorated. Lots of excitement and bustling activity indeed. Lastly, that chariot is really classic looking. Although this contest required a vehicle with doors, but I supposed in this scene, it doesn't really fits. Nevertheless, this entry is still accepted in this contest due to its overall classic built. Eventually, it's up to our EB Community to decide the verdict. By the way, this lovely creation of yours has made it to Classic-Town.net.
  3. I find it very interesting. Could you share your thoughts with me and the fellow teachers? First of all, what are those areas which are not covered in any of our LEGO Reviews from Eurobricks or Reviewers Academy. Most of the time, I will speak with the students and advice on their structure inside the academy. In this case, I will share the basic plot of a typical LEGO's Review structure. Below is my own style of writing a review. Do note that this is the basic skeleton of my review structure and its subjected to expansion. On the other hand, I do look forward to your reviews. I always encouraged my students to write more and more. I am sure some of them whom are familar with my teaching knew what I refer to. If you are looking for wordcount per review, I could give you a confident answer that 70% of our reviews have a minimum wordcount of 750 words. These are some of the recent reviews written by both teachers and students. I had used Microsoft Word processor to verify and saved a copy of its pure text format. Below wordcount does not include any headers, ratings, links except pure written content and thoughts. If you need a copy of the text documents for individual verification, I am glad to drop you an email with its attachment. 4. It will be very nice of you, if you could point me the review. I remembered viewing that review before, but the images' links are broken. Thanks. I just noted this reply of yours. The images are no longer there which is why, it could not be included in the index.
  5. Hello Zepher, It's nice to see that you have strong interest for this project. Although I am part of the EB News Team, but I will like you to inform ImperialShadows on your plans. I remembered awhile back ago, ImperialShadows and I had a discussion before, and I think he had done some of the interviews too which were never published. I strongly believed Staudie is now on a long break since the beginning of last year, focusing on his academic pursuits which is why EB News Interviews is currently in the lull mode. WhiteFang
  6. I really wished I was not dead.... It's a sad thing to see Stash leaving so soon. What an unfair world...
  7. I thought you were only interested in Star Wars? Now, you have gotten yourself some Classic Pirates along with the current sets too.
  8. Awww, okok!!! I will look at it now. Thanks for pointing it out.
  9. Thanks. I am working on it. If you could help to locate X-Pod reviews which fufill the index requirements. It will be nice for me to start planning for it. I don't remember looking at any fruit sets review before. It was supposed to be missing, and required new reviews to be submitted. As for the Power Miners set review, I am fairly sure, it's current.
  10. Dear Eurobricks members, I will like to inform you that "Stage 1" of Other Themes Pictoral Reviews Index is finally ready for viewing. The thumbnails concept is initally inspired from our SW Moderator, KimT, for launching initatives for some of the various LEGO Themes, such as Star Wars, Castle, Ninja and etc. Therefore, I am pleased to inform you that in this very Other Themes forum, we have established a formal index for themes such as Creator, Power Miners, Racers and etc. Reviews Index could be found here. Drop your comments of what you will like to see in this index, to encourage our members to do selected reviews, allowing these themes to have a home of their own in Eurobricks. In addition, if you managed to find any reviews which I had missed, please highlight to me here. Thanks. WhiteFang
  11. Thanks Cutlass_Iz. I am thinking of using that chamber, to be part of a small castle setup, such as a small resting area for the guards. I guess that Lucius minifig will be taken apart to modify randomly across my solders' setup, while the Dobby minifig could be used something related to the Dwarves, or an outcast. I really appericate those printed parts and the book. It's really very useful for parts bin. Your ideas are equally interesting, and this could allow me to give some inspiration. I will take a walk around over the week, to see if this set is still available or not.
  12. Happy Birthday Jordan! It's has been a long while since I last saw you around. Hope you are doing fine. Take care, and have funz!
  13. Happy Birthday guys!! Have a great day, and lots of funz too! See you around!
  14. Thanks Legomilk for this piece of useful information!. First post is updated!
  15. Sticking here long enough, won't get any title, but more mess. Trust me. So go roam around the boards, and be a good member and start posting your thoughts in the discussions.

  17. Great review! I love those printed parts in this set. Will like to ask you, if I am not a pure H.P collector such as Sandy or yourself, do you encourage me to get this set? I remembered seeing this set somewhere, in a consignment store, and I thought it was an useless old set, which does not have much playability. The problem is, I only owned a 5378 Hogwarts' castle which are mainly freshie related and in the past, I bought Harry Potters' minifigs characters to get only for its black cap. I am not sure if I could integrate them together well. Any advice?
  18. Hey Cutlass_Izzy, I had a great time reading this review of yours, and I had noted that I had done something wrong with my building. When I compared your leftovers at the end, I realised I had a grey 2 x 4 (something like that). I was building it in my gf house, over the weekends, and it was fun building it. I can't play with it though as it's still inside her house, and she kept it because she love Willie. When I first opened the box, I must admit that the amount of parts available is quite limited and I just pour what Svelty do, mix it all up and start building with it. I pretty like those vehicles, and it's a good variety added to your town collection. Personally, I will store them inside the City Musuem, showcasing these antiques. The main selling point about this set, is to get these 5 figures, together which is one of its attraction. Am I the only one whom think that one of the Chinese Gangster looks like Joker, with its wide smile? Sounds creepy to me. An enjoyable review, and I wanted to find out where did I miss that component during my build. Never start doing a set when your eyes are tired.
  19. I am really very curious how are you going to integrate those into a Classic Town scene. I never specify of not allowing members not using trains or monorail. If you have interest to integrate these, why not? Go ahead. If you are not sure, you could always drop me a pm to take alook at your entry if you really realy want to be sure. Thanks.
  20. Geez, I never thought the second prize hold so much attraction than the first. I really thought it was a regular Shop@Home products, thinking that this part of the world do not have such polybags. I am expecting another new entry anytime soon. Come on guys, the more the merrier.
  21. I was hoping svelte_corps would advice me of the Dwarven technology whether we could combine both. It sure made the Dwarves Mine looks even more larger!
  22. Calm down! The EB community are getting hype with Svelty's reviews though, but this is a good review coverage too.
  23. Eurobricks member, tnickolaus has shared with us more of the event coverage and new images of the 10196 Grand Carousel/Merry Go Round happening over in an AFOL event, "1. Obernauer Fanausstellung" in Germany. Join in the discussion in our Eurobricks LEGO Trains & Town forum. Click here to join this discussion.
  24. Yes, I just noted that too!! I can't wait to find out more about this set too. I supposed this is going to be like the real Merry Go Round. It's supported by PF indeed. Looks like TLG is integrating lots of PF components together, similar to the Emerald Night Train concept.
  25. Hey Thomas, Thanks you so much for sharing this link! I had resized some of these images and deeplink it here. At the same time, the first post has been updated too! Great coverage down there. WhiteFang
