I will assume that the standard LEGO City sets minifigures and vehicles are scaled to the size of a typical human being size, whereas, the Toy Story characters are supposed to be in a much smaller scale comparing to minifigs size since these Toy Story characters are supposed to be "Toys". To match up with the right proportions, the vehicles must be on a larger scale than usual to illustrate the size differences. Integrating Toy Story vehicles into the current City setup is a mixed feeling for me. I am not very comfortable to see a giant scale vehicle roaming around my City streets but that does not mean I don't like this truck at all. In fact, I like the design of it but I could not give a firm reason on what to do with it. However, if I am planning a layout which is similar to the Town inside Toy Story and the scale is followed based on that scenario, then I will think it's much approriate to do in this manner.

Yes, I am very certain after seeing the movie next month, it will influence my decision one way or another. Thanks for pointing that poster to me, this is my first time seeing it.

Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: Day 2
WhiteFang replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I am glad to be alive but at the same time, feeling surprised that the killings are not even half of the population which means there is some crazy actions happening last night. Do we have any other options of revealing the Nizam by day? -
Excellent review indeed. I am not used to see such a large scale vehicle, but due to the fact that these Toy Story characters are small, it's logical for such scales. I am surprised to see the 3 primary minifigs have dirt printed onto them. I thought it was the usual looking characters and it's nice to see them in such a detailed manner. Furthermore, one of the main reasons apart from the fun play value provided by the garbage truck, it's the exclusive minifig, Twitch. Thanks Starstreak, it's great to see you back into reviewing action once more.

REVIEW: 8683 LEGO Minifigures Series 1
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
At least, now you could expect what to expect if the box is not being meddled with. Hmm, even though the sample size is very small, but I taken consideration that opening a single box could provide what kind of probabilities on individual minifigs and how much I could calculate based on the limited funds as an individual. These are your favourites. I am sure you will get yours pretty soon. Actually, I can't remember what was the original reason when I took that out. In my original draft, the comment was there but I can't remember whom told me to remove it and why. In this case, I agreed with your statement above and agreed that in a review, one must be objective in their thoughts, but I am very certain that I was pretty much excited over this series which caused me to display my oversight. Hope this review is still worth to read, but personally I think I remember the reason is because I thought mine was an isolated case and I didn't want to cause a panic among others. And, that could be the reason why I didn't write that down eventually, because I thought I was just the unlucky one. No offence taken and in fact, I appreciate for being honest with me. -
By the way, this review has now been blogged inside Classic-Town.net.

Is this in Aussie or USD? Either way, this set is on the high price note.

Is this the right Brickshelf folder? If so, I believed most of us in Eurobricks have seen this.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
WhiteFang replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Finally! Great, you got the exact same combination as I do. Looking forward to your upcoming project. -
I highly doubt so. Those tram tracks and road plates are meant for illustration purposes. It has been a long while since I last saw road baseplates being included inside recent City sets.

Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: Night 1
WhiteFang replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It appears we can now roam around and visit each others' residences in the night. Let's hope we are able to get those Nizams. -
Thanks for sharing this review with us. This is not my highest priority unless I am a dedicated Toy Story collector like yourself, but some of these characters are nice, but I feel it's not as iconic compared to the earlier sequels. It's still a great set with some of new characters but it does not give me that kind of urge to get it immediately unlike the Western Train Chase or the Pizza Truck, or even those earlier released sets.

REVIEW: 8683 LEGO Minifigures Series 1
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Pooh, unfortunately, that's the price, we Singaporeans paid. There were no discounts given for these Minifigures Series 1. Oh well, we didn't have much choice to begin with. -
REVIEW: 8683 LEGO Minifigures Series 1
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It was inside the academy. It can be done, for example, when you want to feel for a "Zombie", the unique piece could be a spade, while "Crash Dummy" could be a spanner, followed by "Caveman" which is a club etc. You have to find out for yourself what is the unique piece and this will helps you a lot. I used this method and it works just fine. Thanks Boney. Glad this closing review help many collectors to have an overview, so we know what are to expect in a box. -
Happy Birthday, my kiwi friend. Take care and have a great time!

Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: Day 1
WhiteFang replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
In admist of chaotic times, it's really up to us to sniff out Nizam and eliminate him/her among us but with so many people among us having so many actions, it's like looking a needle in the haysack. Any creative ideas?
