Just bought the 9492 TIE and The 9490 Droid Escape. There are some really cool new minifigs in these sets - new Sandtropper x 2, Imperial Trooper and R5-J2 astromech. Besides the minifigs the TIE itself looks really cool - and not too toylike - looking at it really begs the question - when will LEGO make a UCS of this?????

Impressive... Most Impressive... If you make the rebel fleet in the same scale you'll be pressed to do a blockade Runner at 3 studs (150m) and a Medical Frigate at 6 studs (300m) But, I'm very much looking forward to it

I like the effect of the lava and the burning Ana/Darth Perhaps you can use some dark grey and black dots to make at least the bottom of the slope going into the lava look more coal like? Keep bricking

I don't buy to to resell. However, I appreciate that some people do. Most of my UCS collection is bought from others. The people I bought from has cared for the sets I bought - and perhaps some of that care was due to better be able to resell :) I do think that some prices are a bit hysterical - the 10129 is often much more expensive per brick that the 10179 - but in the end it only reflects that the sets has become collectors' items. Thus they will probably continue to increase in value - and even though I do not have any intend of selling any of my LEGO at the moment, I might do it someday - when I can make a million selling my sole. More importantly - when buying these very expensive sets, the most crucial argument when discussing the purchase with your spouse is that it is an investment and that it will someday pay for the kids' college tuition So no matter how ridiculous the price of a set is, one day you'll probably ask an even more crazy price for it - whether you like it not :)

The toyfair - as in "LEGO World" in Copenhagen in February? Can't wait to see it! As soon as the pictures gets available I can order the bricks for the modding (assuming any is needed )

Has anyone seen/gotten any pictures/news of the UCS R2-D2 or the UCS B-Wing? Regarding the latter, is the any estimates of a possible release date - more specific that just "2012"? I think you are right - so the conclusion is that the descision process of deciding when to call a minifig "new" borders on total anarchy!

Just bought the 10215 Jedi Starfighter from S@H - it is on sale. I'd never thought I would buy the set, but it was 40% off, so it suddenly it seemed worth it It is my first prequel UCS. I don't know if there are any other prequel UCS worth buying (Darth Maul bust, Naboo N1 fighter), but at the moment I think I'll stay with the original trilogy. I also bought the 8129 AT-AT on BL new - really cheap. It is my first AT-AT. I was intially waiting for LEGO to make a UCS one, but that is not happining any time soon and I don't have the time to MOC one They should both be in the mail tomorrow - what an epic day

I wonder what LEGOs guidelines are when stating something is new? The Stromtrooper has a new torso, but is not considered new, whereas the Death Star trooper has a new face and helmet and is "new". Perhaps torsos does not count?

The old "Behind the Magic" Cd-ROM from about 1999 had such a character mao - Although it only covered the old episodes :)
