  1. I did use it's parts, so sadly no comparison shots. Thanks for all the comments and yes I wish Lego would have used chrome too, or at least silver.
  2. Here is my take on the Naboo N-1 Starfighter. It started off originally as the 7660 version of the fighter, but given new a look. The fighter on the slightly modified base, showing off it's right side. The Fighter's left side. The Fighter's front showing off hints of the first major change. The Fighter's rear, again showing hints of another change. The Fighter's top showing off yet some more. Now the Fighter's bottom, gone is the missile launcher and in its place inverted slopes and bricks, which allow the next image to exist. Also the opening Astromech port is gone and some plates take it's place. The opening cockpit. And the last shot, the inside of the cockpit and changed Astromech port. And I leave ya with a glimpse of the pilot Ryn.
  3. Great review, I'm looking forward to this new version, as the 4504 always seemed to be lacking in way or another. Is it me or is Leia's new head, Princess Tamina's?
  4. Saber 1 Saber 1 is the call sign of the Empire's greatest ace pilot Baron Soontir Fel of the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing and it is the name of his TIE Interceptor. What started as a simple color swap, evolved into a rebuilt cockpit and extra detailing on the wings in the form of the red strips used by 181st. Baron Fel is made up of a standard TIE Pilot, Nizam's head and a standard black male hair piece. First off, Baron Fel. Front of the fighter. Side of the fighter, featuring the red stripes of the 181st. Rear of the fighter. Top of the fighter. Bottom of the fighter. And a couple of quick comparison pictures between Saber 1 and a standard Lego Interceptor.
  5. Great review. As for the changes to the speeder bike, it seems to me that it is for reenacting the scene when Luke and Leia ride same bike.
  6. Here is a mod/moc I did based on the 6209 Slave I. The main changes were to the interior and sides. The Jango Fett minifig is mainly a Clone Wars mandalorian, with the head of the new Boba Fett, and the classic black male hair. The Zam Wessel is made up from Zam Wessel, the head from Princess Tamina and a power miner's helm. There would have been a flesh take on young Boba Fett, but the parts are not handy at the moment.
  7. Say wouldn't Chewie's Death Star be disqualified? Since he's a mechanic on smuggler's freighter. :P
  8. I went with Slave-1, I'm thinking of turning the previous one into Jango's, with the aid of bricklink. And just repurposing a Mandalorian Warrior as Jango.
  9. Thats a great and beautiful ship you made there.
  10. If a US made movie can't make back it's budget in the US alone it's a bomb.
  11. We got Exploriens here at the Lego Imagination center, at the MoA, so I would assume they and other theme's would be common elsewhere.
  12. The helmet printing. like real world fighter pilots, they each have their own custom helmets.
  13. Nice mini theme review but ya did miss the Unnamed, 1843 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=1843-1
  14. That is one great looking UCS TIE MOC.
  15. That is one heck of a MoC, just missing a snow speeder to crush beneath its foot.
  16. Great review, but one complaint, some of the images are pretty large and do take a bit of time to load. (Crappy connection here at work ) The set does look it improves on some aspects of the previous one, but the huge missile launcher (again) is a let down, even if its flick fired ones.
  17. It was mentioned here in a thread or so.
  18. The 6211 was re-released as a Target Black Friday exclusive, in 2008, it included the same droid as 10188 as well as the new painted Stormtrooper helmets, that were in the 08 BP's, blackhanded Imperial Guard, and the Imperial Inspection Vader. As to for "re-release" of the 6212, that was a figure of speech. So what I'm getting at is its likely possible Lego could switch the part and would it would be cheaper then producing 2 different heads, and wouldn't be the first time Lego did such a change with out changing boxes/instruction books etc.
  19. Lego will likely be phasing out the old style head in 2010 rerelease of the x-wing, like they did with the astromech in the star destroyer when it was rereleased in 2008, yet even down to the inventory page and box still showed the old style head.
  20. The only set I know of is the 7644-1: MX-81 Hypersonic Operations Aircraft, but I got mine from good ol'bricklink from a seller in Germany.
  21. For this X-Wing I went back and took out the red trim that it originally had and replaced it with black and replaced the white rubber bands with black ones. I then added numerous tiles, plates, and slopes of different sizes. I redid the ends of the engines with wheels and 4l bars. I then added the 4 hexagonal cones to the front of them, to give them a enclosed look and because I thought it would look cool :D. Also added were extra wing pieces to the front (2x3) and the rear (4x4) of each wing. To the front under the nose cone I added in extra gun, in this case it would be Light Ion Cannon. Front Left Side Right Side Rear Top And with S-Foils Opened Extra Bonus - Star Wars The Saga Edition RPG Stats The fighter is for use in the Legacy Era and as such has the Advanced Starfighter Template and is based off the XJ3 stats, for those that know what I'm talking about :D IncomT-65XZ9 Stealth X-wing Starfighter CL 14 Gargantuan starfighter Init +13; Senses Perception +3 Defense Ref 25 (flat-footed 13), Fort 31; +8 armor, Vehicular Combat hp 190; DR 10; SR 40; Threshold 51 Speed fly 16 squares (max. velocity 1100 km/h), fly 4 squares (starship scale) Ranged heavy laser cannons +10 (see below) or Ranged light ion cannon +10 (see below) or Ranged proton torpedoes +10 (see below) or Fighting Space 4x4 or 1 (starship scale); Cover total (crew), +5 (astromech droid) Base Atk +2; Grp +38 Abilities Str 52, Dex 34, Con --, Int 22 Skills Initiative +13, Mechanics +13, Perception +3, Pilot +13, Use Computer +13 Crew 1 plus astromech droid (skilled); Passengers none Cargo 35kg; Consumables 3 days; Carried Craft none Payload 8 proton torpedoes Hyperdrive x1, 10-jump memory (astromech droid) Availability Military; Cost 657,000 (561,397 used) * If the ship has an astromech droid, use these skill modifiers instead Special Equipment Sensor Mask, Sensor Baffling, Backup Shields, Stuttter-Fire Laser Cannons Heavy laser cannons (pilot) Atk +10 (5 autofire), Dmg (8d10)x2 -------------------------------------------- Light ion cannon (pilot) Atk +10, Dmg (4d10)x2 ion -------------------------------------------- Proton torpedoes (pilot) Atk +10, Dmg (11d10)x2, 4-square splash
  22. Here is a color mod I completed not to long ago of the Jedi Interceptor or Fighter if you prefer in the color of... what didn't read the title? Oh all right, in white :D I completely redid wings in white and replaced the Open Circle Fleet logos with extra Republic one's from the 08 BP. The Front The Left Side The Right Side The Rear The Top With the S-Foils opened And in the Hyperdrive Ring (As the set, no changes made) -Whoops, the subject line should be in with the title, may a mod fix that please?
  23. Its likely from a Hasbro action figure, since their older female head's were about the size of Lego ones.
  24. Thats all Wedge got, sadly
  25. The 6207 A-Wing pilot could be considered an unofficial Tycho, he was in one of the A-Wings that flew into the Deathstar 2 with Wedge and Falcon, he was the one the broke off and led the TIE's away. Back to the topic at hand, I'm looking foward to the new slave one, I have previous one, but it bugged me how Han in carbonite ended up as a 1x2x5 brick, as well as the missile launcher. Maybe I'll turn that one into a Jango's too.
