  1. Aye, the UFO space sub theme, all the aliens had them. Also the Explorien robots had em too.
  2. I think its use is for steam.
  3. Nice moc, but I'm getting flashbacks of Wild Wild West.
  4. Thanks for the comment and nice stealth/black ops team.
  5. Here is my first set photo review for Eurobricks. The set in question is of course the Galaxy Squad's Orange Squad's Bug Obliterator. Now on those set details. Name: Bug Obliterator Set Number: 70705 Number of Parts: 711 Number of Figures: 4 Year of Release: 2013 Suggested Retail Price: $79.99 (US Dollars) Now on with show. The box. It is a decent sized box, not to large or small and little thick at 2 inches (appox.) Front Back Next up, the instructions and stickers. Despite the box size, the instruction booklet did end up wrinkled. Instruction Book Cover Random Page No not Betty, now hush. Part Inventory Page 1 Part Inventory Page 2 Sticker Sheet After that we come up on the parts. They came in 5 numbered bags and 2 hose pieces were unbagged. Bag 1 and 2 were both separate vehicles, the bug craft and land truck, respectfully. Bags 3 through 5 were the parts for the main ship. There were plenty of new parts, but they all pale in comparison to new square 2x2 inverted tile. All the Bags Bag 1 Parts Bag 2 Parts Bag 3 Parts Bag 4 Parts Bag 5 Parts On to the build, nothing really stood out while putting it together. Though I would go with 70/30, maybe 80/20, on the system vs technic scale for overall design. Bag 1 Completed Bag 2 Completed Bag 3 Completed Bag 4 Completed Bag 5 Completed The Whole Set Completed Some additional shots of the Bug Obliterator Front (with truck) Front (without truck) Side Rear Finally, the figures, there were 2 humans, 1 male, 1 female, 1 robot, and 1 bug alien. The 2 humans each have alternate faces with breath masks, that seem a little redundant. The robot is cool enough and I was glad to see it's head was an actual head and not a helm with a blank head or round brick. Figures Alternate Faces Final thoughts with ratings. It is a fun set, though I do prefer the look of the ship with out truck mounted more. The truck is pretty low to the ground and wouldn't work well in a real environment, though otherwise looks pretty good. The bug craft harkens back to Insectoids. I do think the set is a great addition to the ranks of the mid sized flag ships of past Space lines, such as the Aerial Intruder, the Saucer Centurion, and the Star Hawk II. Ratings (categories and scoring based on what I've seen in other reviews here) Design: 9/10 (Lost some points for the low rider.) Figures: 10/10 (Good number and verity.) Parts 10/10 (New parts and OMG inverted square 2x2 tiles) Fun Factor: 10/10 (Good guy vehicle (vehicles really), bad guy vehicle and both go swoosh) Price: 7/10 (Lots of small parts and missed the good ol 100 parts to $10 dollar ratio, by $10 bucks. The score is based on the SRP. I found it on clearance so 10/10 in my case.) Total looks to be 46/50.
  6. There is an east mod to fix that with just a few extra parts. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16941
  7. Well no summer sets in North America yet and not every where Europe I suppose.
  8. Thanks and the poster is the Predaking lithograph from the long defunct Dreamwave comics.
  9. Great moc, and looks to be based off this cosplayer. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/1044391_693197470709709_952231417_n.jpg
  10. The stats are for the Saga Edition RPG, suitable for the Rebellion Era, and thanks.
  11. The Stealth Z-95 is a modified variant of the Clone Z-95 flown during the Clone Wars by the G.A.R. As such it uses the dual engine configuration opposed to the more standard quad engines found on most Z-95’s. The weapon systems were replaced with ones found on its younger cousin the X-Wing, laser cannons replacing the blaster cannons and a pair of photon torpedo launchers instead of the concussion missile launchers. The nose of the fighter was made shorter and resembles that of any number of other Z-95’s. The fighter also been modified to have an astromech port behind the cockpit and covered by a transparasteel canopy, x1 hyperdrive, installed, and finally a sensor mask and sensor baffling, making it harder it to be detected by sensors or sight. The Stealth Z-95 was developed by an Alliance agent during the early days of the rebellion to restore the Republic. The Z-95 was chosen due to being a common enough fighter, that if seen it would not be immediately apparent that it was an Alliance craft, unlike using a newer fighter such as the X-Wing. It was used in limited number of missions against Imperial targets in the core worlds. The Stealth Z-95 is a modified variant of the Clone Z-95 flown during the Clone Wars by the G.A.R. 12. Oh TigerWolfe, I was able to make a mirrored B-Wing with just swapping slopes from the cockpit arm, and the main cannon, and a couple of wedges arround. I did need one extra wedge opposite of the one the normally goes on the cockpit arm. I'm sure ya figured that too, but posting this just in case.
  13. Gotta love the wiki, the corrected listing of 2 B-Wing/E's being used is on Erron Kell's page, but not the Deathraven's page. At least someone was paying attention the WotC's errata fixes. Anyway your work gave me the kick in the butt to get this done finally too. I've had the 2 6208's sitting storage for years, to do just what you did. As we had a player in our gaming group "inherit" the Deathraven.
  14. Frankly I think its an ugly piece and it's very distinctive of the Falcon and Corellian ships in general. Now if you were doing the Corellian/B-Wing Ugly that would be one thing. Now here's another Idea I had, take the cockpit section of Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Fighter, ditch the front part of it and swap the white for bley and add it to the b-wing.
  15. Thats the failing of the wiki, including everything from the multitude of RPG sources, at most the Deathraven should have been a footnote on the main B-Wing page. The Falcon cockpit is a nice size but it is hard to work with and to me seems to be to big for the scale of the 6208.
  16. It's an invention of the D20 Star Wars, that was never seen again, so really it could be anything you want. But it might be hard for some to make out, but the picture shows only a single seat and pilot in the center of the cockpit. Edit- After thinking about it and comparing images, I think copying the QuinJet's cockpit (at least the outer shape) would be pretty much spot on for the front and something similar for the back.
  17. Sorry for the double post, but why not use one of these, http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=61191
  18. There are two shuttle types, the B-Wing/E Shuttle which is pilot then passenger like the normal E and the B-Wing/Shuttle which is still pilot and then 2 passengers that next each other. Ackbar's E2 was his personal modified E which evolved in to the B-Wing/Shuttle. As for dubbing the Deathraven as E2's was a mistake on WotC part, as the E2 was never mass produced. I should have just said E before in my previous post too, a mistake on my part.
  19. The passenger/gunner in the E2 sits behind the pilot in a elongated cockpit, so perhaps Eta Starfighter cockpit might make a better choice?
  20. Well that and Jabba's Palace, possibly after the hullabaloo about it looking like certain Byzantine Church turned Mosque.
  21. In the case of the speeder bikes it was done with Ewok Attack (7956), Endor Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper Battle Pack (9489), and The Battle of Endor (8038). As for the Final Dual sets, weren't they worked in with the Death Star Play set and the UCS Imperial Shuttle? As for another AT-ST it's inevitable, heres hoping Lego will finally make one that fits two minifigs in it. I also think a AT-TP will be back in a few waves with in the next couple of years, along with a non CW Turbo Tank.
  22. Thats kinda what happened with the shirtless Darth Maul mini, we're getting him in a set sans normal legs.
  23. I did a whole bunch of veriations of the 6212 X-Wing http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16966 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=40429 And a white ETA I did. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=40427
  24. When looking at the ship from above with the top facing up. The left pod houses the cargo bay. The right pod houses crew quarters on the top level and the med bay on the bottom level of the ship. The light saber "windows" are not windows on the ship, its the shield generators. The actual windows are the yellow tiles in the center. Anyway with some minor moding to close up the back bits of the "bridge" its rather good appoximation of the ingame model. Great review and I can't get wait to get this set as I've been playing SWTOR since Beta as a Jedi Sentinal. (and yes I have lego version of my character too, ready to go. )
