That's certainly how I've been imagining it. But I don't think anyone can say what is "likely". It might also be like Kai's Blade Cycle in Ninjago, only Cap themed.

The Blackbird is the plane the X-Men use. A modified SR-71, usually.

I had one on backorder, too, but I called and canceled the order. If they haven't charged you, yet, you should be able to do the same if you run across one in stores.

Cheating with roads - has anyone tried printing them?
Hobbestimus replied to Duck's topic in LEGO Town
I've never tried it, but the idea to do so is pretty genius. -
I picked mine up at TRU, as well.

I think it's actually a really close comparison: Han & Chewie by "Orion Pax", on Flickr But, then, the great thing about Lego is how easy it is to adjust to your liking. The only real issue is there's not enough version of those long legs out there.

Cobra is the enemy of GI Joe.Thanks for the props on the building techniques. Destro's head is an Optimus Prime Kreon head (from Hasbro's Kre-O line) minus the outer helmet. -
Ahhhh.Well, see, he wasn't meant to be falling, he was just tied up : Here's a quick tutorial. And thanks to the Regulator for clarification *thumbs up* Wow, I missed that this was Lego at first.Nice job.

Just wanted to share a couple of simple MOCs I made for the DC sets. The first is a Batpod, which is a mod of the Batcycle that comes with the Funhouse Escape: And the second is a Green Lantern Power Battery. Here it is in action: And, because I was asked, a quick step-by-step on how to make your own : I'm kinda new to coming back to Lego, so I welcome comments and critiques. Thanks for looking.

I don't think it looks too bad: Han & Chewie by "Orion Pax", on Flickr Chewbacca is actually a pretty svelte giant, compared to, say, a muscle bound character like Colossus. But to each his own.

I'm not sure what you mean by you can tell that it's fake...I mean, it's Legos, so I'm not trying to fool you into thinking it's really Batman...I appreciate the feedback, though, I'm just unclear on the specific criticism. Can a mod give a ruling on this? I take lots of minifigure action shots, but I don't want to break any rules posting them in the wrong spots. Thanks. The front of the lantern is just one of the wheels from the Toy Story Army Man jeep, and it's all clamped around of the one of those 1x1 bricks with a hole going straight through it...sorry I'm not up on proper brick titles, but I can post some instructional pics later tonight.

Don't forget the "tall" legs they made for Woody - which I would actually dig seeing used more, especially for someone like Chewy.

That Pink Mandolorian is awesome - Mango Fett.

Just discovered this thread. Awesome stuff here. I don't know if this one counts as "licensed", it's a MOC Guy Gardner, but Guy's a DC character...here it is, anyway.

Thanks. I actually do have a couple of those for him, but I don't always pose him with them since they so entirely cover his arms and hands. But I definitely let him use them for play time. -

On a bit of a DC kick since I picked up the new sets: Made a Guy Gardner and tweaked Wonder Woman. I didn't love the legs they gave her, so I went with a basic blue, which reminds of the costume from that TV show pilot they recently made. Also gave her some arm bands. Loving what you can do with a Green Lantern and some Lego: Also made Alfred and tweaked the Funhouse Robin to be a tad more The Animated Series, my preferred Bat-fiction: And made a Lois Lane: -

Made an Aquaman to go with the DC Heroes I picked up today: He's simple, but I think he's effective. -
Ideas for New Action Themes
Hobbestimus replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
When the current DINO line finishes up, a caveman theme could be a cool way to put the dinosaur pieces back out, if not an entirely scientifically accurate one. A Caveman Tribal Chief, some caveman warriors with spears and clubs and such, dinosaurs with saddles and gear for harvesting crops and stuff, and some evil prehistoric mutants to terrorize the village. Sort of like an action-adventure version of the Flintstones. -
Ideas for New Action Themes
Hobbestimus replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I know this year Lego's going to be knee-deep in DC and Marvel sets, but I'd like to someday see an original Lego Superhero theme - something similar to the Agents sets, but with unique superheroes and villains. I thought the villain characters in the Agents theme were so inspired, but the Agents were too uniform. Same with the recent Space Police line - great villains, hum-drum, uniform heroes. So a generic Superhero set that allowed for some equally unique heroes would be great. -
The better analogy would be to say that Nolan's Batman is through Warner Bros. Studios. And Time Warner is the owner of both the Warner Brothers movie studio and DC Comics, so it's easier to keep the merchandising all under one banner, so to speak, and a DC comics deal with Lego allows Lego to make something specific to a Warner Bros. movie, like the Tumbler, because the money flow is ultimately all to the same pockets. My point is Marvel doesn't work that way, and Marvel licensed several properties out to other movie studios before it formed its own studio. Those properties, therefore, can't be exploited by Lego just by making a deal with Marvel, because the money flow won't work out.
-
The X-Men Movie Series, including the Wolverine movie and Reynold's Deadpool, are through 20th Century Fox.Since Lego's deal is with Marvel specifically, they can do the Marvel Movies (Iron Man, Hulk, Cap, Thor, and Avengers so far) - but any other Marvel character probably has to be a strict representation of the comic version since they don't have deals with those studios for the movie version. Ergo, Reynold's Deadpool is off limits, unless Lego made a separate merchandising deal with that studio.

I've had real good results with Painters, a paint pen made by Elmer's. The pens come in different head sizes, and allow for really great control. Also, the paint coats nice and easy, and dries really fast. I used them to make my Matt Trakker helmet (inspired by Orion Pax's build). I recently tried a brush method with my Skeletor, to make the hood purple. I spent the whole time wishing I'd just gotten the purple paint pen. It took a much steadier hand, more patience, and multiple coats. In both cases, chipping can be a problem. The paint pens make touch-up a breeze and a top coat can help protect the color long term.

I am in love with this. Great work.

Indeed. I can't wait to see these.

Dude, that's killer work. With the lake and the carriage coming up it, you've really brought the first day of school to life. Love it.
