  1. Oh my Denmark--it's YOU! ^_^ Welcome, I hope you enjoy yourself here, I know I have! (Sixoh and I go WAY back, in case it isn't obvious. )
  2. It's not just you--I've stayed as current as I could both before and after your Dark Ages, and I don't recognize those wheels, either. I'd like to know what they're from, though--they'd be most useful for a Heroica project I have in mind.
  3. "Roller"! You're HERE! :D Come say hi in Heroica, I know you have a few decent medieval parts among that HUGE bin of LEGO I stored for you. ;-)

  4. Hooray for the new sub-forum! Perhaps now the other three Test Questers might decide to drop in and resume playing as well?
  5. How about those two dark blue torsos, on the flute-player and the guy in the robe?
  6. "Cronk, shall I attack all the enemies, with my Cat O' Nine Tails, or do you think I should drink my Nostrum?"
  7. Did I just see what I thought I saw? Cheers, Dragonator, this'll make things a lot easier to keep track of.
  8. Likes him or liiiiiiikes him? This is an important distinction; I crave details! ... ... I'd better go.
  9. Same here, and I think Zeph is in the same boat. Speaking of which, Zeph, do the fake things get Free Hits if we don't target them, or only the real enemy?
  10. Knowing he'd only have one shot at this, Arthur casts a scroll spell of Blindness from the Back Row.
  11. Arthur felt his blood chill, as if his Opal had been turned to liquid and poured through his veins. Hadn't he said the same thing to the other Heroes back in Eubric, just a few days earlier? "And that is how her loyalty to her love is repaid. Typical Chaotic behavior." As Caroline did to me. But in neither case was it necessary to the cause of Chaos! Why can't they see that? Arthur turned to the Gray Wizard. "You said that Wren and Roderick explored a temple of Zoot on that mission, yes? Do you recall anything specific that they said at that time? I--we--need details, if at all you can remember them."
  12. At the same moment as Cronk, Arthur reaches down and picks a flower.
  13. Scroll of Poisoning is Deadly Poisoned (which is why I think its Ether cost should be higher, but that's besides the point). Atramor has Hex and Special Mirror, though, so we definitely need him either way.
  14. And let's not forget, Arthur will soon have a Scroll of Poisoning and already has a Healing Staff, so Atramor and I can trade off on healing and poisoning as needed... It's also interesting that three of the above are on Quest 38...we'll see how well they work together battle-wise once Zeph gets settled into college (should take two to three weeks).
  15. This is why CMP and I would be so dangerous in the Unlimited Quest; we'd nitpick the things to death via obscure combinations of various weapons and abilities. Hmm...Pie, maybe we should petition for a four-person party, then we could take Docken as well as Cronk, for added evil Munchkin-ing. Also, JimB, I recently read the Zelda Wiki article on the Legend of Zelda Rito. If the Heroica Rito have a similar coming-of-age ritual (earning their wings by taking a sacred object to a dragon), I see no reason why the Rito could not offer their own Expert Class, though it would make sense that the Hero in question would have to gain Good reputation with both the Rito (for the sacred feather) and the Dragons (for the ritual) in order to be granted wings and the power of flight. Just a suggestion, I know I'd love to see Nerwen continue her relationship with Denarii and the Rito.
  16. "Thanks, Alexis, this'll help a whole lot." Arthur winks at the Evoker, surprising himself. He quickly turns his attention to trying out the new weapon; it is much different than the staves he was used to, but the Cat O' Nine Tails was an elegant and deadly addition to his arsenal nonetheless. After cracking it experimentally a few times, Arthur returns to his digging and searching. OOC: Zeph, please note the change in stats. Please also note that Arthur will keep anything interesting he finds while digging, no matter its monetary value (or lack thereof); this includes herbs, roots, and Flower of Sybl seeds.
  17. "Much has happened since you were sealed, friend. There was a massacre of heroes, some months before I arrived in the Hall, and our numbers are only now recovering. Yet the world is still a dangerous place for us; some of our number have been drawn into the rivalries of the feuding Houses, some were tricked into beginning a war in Uland, between the Brobric and the then-refugee Lion Knights. The Town Watch grows corrupt, and yet the few righteous among them struggle to uphold order within Eubric. And yet they are unsuccessful; more and more Heroes are hired to missions within the city, and rumor has it that some even serve the Wolfgang, one of the factions of the criminal undercity. Elsewhere, more tragedies arise, despite the strength of Heroes. The Zeigfrieds lost a son to the Witch of Salmanda, Baba Yaga. A team of Heroes narrowly managed to destroy an unusually powerful pirate, Jolly Roger, at great cost and effort. The Fantome Croise soundly defeated a team of Heroes sent to purge Charis, though rumors fly of treachery involved there as well. One Hero even died on a recent Quest, a true rarity in these times, and a most disturbing one at that." "But hope is not lost. Though we Heroes often unwittingly aid the Chaos, not all of our efforts end in vain because of it. A team of Rogue Lions began a war in Dastan, at the same time that a cult tried to summon a god to this mortal plane, and a team of assassins tried to undermine the Empire. It was a bitter, trying struggle, one in which three different teams of Heroes played their own parts, and yet in the end it was a glorious success; the Empire of Dastan is a gleaming jewel of strength and prosperity, and the true Lions have grown into a benevolent force of their own because of it. The god summoned by the Cult of the Chimaera was destroyed, and Wren's plan in Dastan--for she herself was there--was at least partially foiled, though I do not doubt that it was only a temporary setback." Arthur rounds on Haldor. "And I do not think that the Lady has the Amulet. It was not by her efforts that the Chimaera was summoned to Dastan, indeed, she herself opposed it. She took Sphinx because he was successful at summoning a god--without the Amulet. She would not have needed him if she possessed this amulet--but if she does not, then who does? I fear we are to find out, and in the worst possible way." "Gray Wizard, I hope you can forgive my momentary rudeness. It is imperative that I--er, we--discover and fit into place the last pieces of the Lady Wren's plan, ere we become powerless to stop her. Knowledge is both sword and shield against those who are of Chaos. With that in mind, sir, I would ask for your recollections of that Quest--the most detailed you can provide." While waiting for the man's explanation, Arthur digs with his shovel in search of seeds of the Flower of Sybl. Remembering who picked the petals, Arthur then looks through his telescope for traces of McColt. EDIT: OOC: I should be at 23/25 Health, thanks to the successful Scroll of Frailty use.
  18. As the battle fades, Arthur turnes to Alexis. "Mind if I borrow that whip of yours? It could come in handy later." Arthur then turns to the unexpectedly-revived Gray Wizard. He lets forth a single question; five words, on which hung the fate of the universe. "What did Wren want here?"
  19. OOC: I was using a Scroll of Frailty, that should have just been an unsuccessful spell use. Arthur growls and uses his Scroll of Frailty from the Back Row once more.
  20. OOC: Just to note, I will be preparing for/at auditions at CSULB all day tomorrow, so it's unlikely I'll be online. Zeph, you can take care of Arthur while I'm gone.
  21. Let's focus on me actually surviving a QM-ship first, shall we?
  22. No, I meant that mechanically, I have a battle that's, in essence, a mini-Dastan battle (one I've had up my sleeve since before the Dastan Trilogy was even announced, mind). If I were writing a Quest set in Dastan, I'd have PM'd you, Zeph, and JimB, and would have asked if any of you would have been willing to joint-QM a (single) Quest to teach me the ropes of QM-ing. ... Hmm...even without the Quest being set in Dastan, that's actually not a bad QM-ing idea... *opens Personal Messenger, begins group PM*
  23. *whisper whisper whisper* *makes a note to ban Raiders from said Quest-in-planning*
  24. OOC: Muhuhahahaha I love this class. Arthur grinned as his blizzard disoriented the Knight, Confusing him, but scowled as it left his allies open to the Knight's cunning attack. Suddenly remembering his latest acquisition, Arthur unfurls his Scroll of Frailty and reads the arcane incantation. "Indeed, for a Knight of Ennon, he is a rather dark foe. I would have thought that the light of your blade would have done him more harm. Perhaps its Chaotic nature distracted the QM delays the damage temporarily."
  25. "Figures. I'll cast an Ice spell from the Back Row, see how he takes it."
