I added a lot of modified people in it , some extra elements, ... I hadn't planned to put a lot of work (and extra money) in it to modify everything simply due the fact I am busy with my palace and embassy (which will be enlarged 24x24 => 48x48) I won't dismantle the Medieval Village Set, just because I like how TLG made their buildings. Considering this 50x50 scene is finished, it makes 1/9 of Mpya Stedor finished and normally this will be the only scene with TLG-buildings in it. The rest of Mpya Stedor will be selfmade and designed. There are indeed already very nice creations made for Historica! And I am sure there will follow a lot more! considering the picture of that building stage, it will fit smoothly in Avalonia! Great job already!! Congratulations neighbour!!! As Berigora is only a few days sailling from Mpya Stedor, many tourists will spend the night in my city before they set sail for admiring the most legendary tower of Historica!! ==> Wooohooow! First of all: great job making those miniversions of the towers!!! The pictures are taken with my mobile phone as it's the easiest way to upload them and as my market scene was not so special enough to make an effort :p When my palace or embassy will be finally finished, I'll use a real camera ------------------------ grrr, I had exam today so I wasn't at home when the mailman passed by. Now I have to wait till Monday before I can pick up 2 big orders for my palace -
I have 3 of them :p but stilll in every toyshop I pass, I look for that set and the 3$ soldiers arsenal (with imperial guard) And as long it's not ninjago vs pirates, I can live with ninja's vs pirates. This would mean following: asian pirateships, samurai warriors as the good guys, ninja's as third party. Historically seen it would be correct, TLG can even make an Imperial ship!

When I visited Georgia and Florida, there was a brochure for a "Medieval Joust". I always wondered how American residents can be so interested in the history of another continent. I know all ancestors of them come from Europe, but there are no medieval elements in the USA... For example, I just have to step outside my house to see already a medieval element (some ruins of a castle near my house). In the city where I study, Ghent, there are lots of Medieval buildings, churches, castles, ... and I can go on like this as here in Flanders, the distance between 2 old cities is 20 miles, there are plenty of them... Well, I am not telling this because I have some remarks, your MOC's are outstanding, it's just something I wonder sometimes When I have plan for a MOC, I'll never will look for some examples first, I just use my fantasy and the memories of all the buildings I've already seen

And the story goes on: A Day at The Market -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A DAY AT THE MARKET ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (ST) As the palace was far more expensive than he hoped, Mpya Stedor was in need for gold, more gold and far more gold. And as plundering other cities was forbidden at this moment, there was only 1 option: hurry the construction of the market. So the slaves had to work day and night to put brick on brick and after weeks of work, the market was finally finished. Even the surrounding area was one big construction site, the first merchants found their ways quickly to the market. Seeing all those activity in his city, Lord Damaximus was pleased. But he knew he was lucky there were no wars at this moment, as the citywalls are taking far longer than he hoped. Recently he had to make his materialmaster a slave because his lack on timing. The only problem he had now, is that the new materialmaster had to redo the whole process of ordening materials. And as they come from his home Ximus, it will take weeks, maybe even months before they will arrive... While thinking about this, Lord Damaximus arrived at the market with some of his guards for his daily social chat with the townsmen. *Guard* : "Welcome mylord, I hope everything is fine with u!" *Lord Damaximus* : "Thanks Jack, I am fine, how are you doing? Aha, I see that the Drowtrader is inspecting our famous grilled chicken with cheese and bread!" *Ximus Trader* : "^hik^, excellent beer u got there ale's man! I thin^hik^k we gonna order 50 barrels ^hik^ of those !" *Lord Damaximus* : "Haha Tomvaximus, why am I not surprised to find you here? You got some news for me from Ximus?" *Tomvaximus* : "Greetings my^hik^lord, as we are famous for ^hik^ our fine taste, it's not a shame to drin^hik^k some good ale! Our lord Mattiximus has almost con^hik^quered most of the west-Mwezi Islands. As Atlarka (Baridi islands) ^hik^ and Amenor (Joto islands) have finally signed a peace-^hik^-treaty with eachother and accepted an alliance with Ximus ^hik^, it won't be long before the Mwezi and Jioni Islands will been divided to our 3 ^hik^ Guilds and peace in our continent will be a ^hik^ certitude after almost a millenium of war ^hik^. Megabloks, I hate hiccups..." *Lord Damaximus* : "Those words fill my heart with joy! I will write a letter soon to my little brother to congratulate him for his victories! But I will walk further as I see my cook there and I am wondering what the dinner will be tonight!" *Lord Damaximus* : " Niels! I see you are buying some fresh green apples! What will it be for dinner this evening?" *Cook Niels* : "Ah mylord, I will do a special this evening! But I won't tell you what to keep it a mystery!" *Lord Damaximus* : "Aaaah Megabloksed!!! Eh bien, don't forget to buy some of those white and brwon chocolate (in the crate at the right of the apples) for our ladies in the palace!" Wondering what it will be for dinner tonight, Lord Damaximus walks further. It is something with apples... As long it is no fish! Arriving at the small slaverymarket, Lord Damaximus greeted the two market guards, the Amenor Slave Traders and the Colandian Traders. Too bad those slaves are no constructionworkers... *voice* : "Hey Lord Damaximus! ..." Lord Damaximus turns around. *Mitgardian trader* : "... which dagger would you choose: a normal dagger or the adventurers dagger?" *Lord Damaximus* : "Depends on what you want to do with it, my friend! Killing bears is best with the adventurers dagger, while for killing chickens, the normal dagger is recomended! How are things in Mitgardia?" *Mitgardian trader* : "It is for killing those annoying orc-chickens in the mountains! It's a real plague lately... It started around the same time as the raid in one of our watchtowers. Maybe there is a connection between the two, our Lord is still investigating the case!" *Lord Damaximus* : "Orc-chickens??????? Seriously... Orc-chickens??? Please ask one of your fellow Guildmembers to bring one to here next time they visit Mpya Stedor, I really want to see one!!" *Mitgardian trader* : "It's absolutely not funny, they eat our fruit and when you kill them, they taste like orcflesh... it's a disaster!" Still laughing, Lord Damaximus walks further, to the small souvenir stand. *Lord Damaximus* : "Ah Heidi, it's always a pleasure to see you! how is business?" *Heidi* : "Ah mylord, such a gentleman! I can't complain! The new God-statues are selling like golden eggs of chickens!" *Lord Damaximus* : "Seriously, why has everybody something to do with chickens today???" Lord Damaximus walked further, passing the small green zone with the old tree with white blossoms. A few later, he arrived at the storagebuilding with the goldsmith and where Sir Matthew Scorpio his house his. Looking to the right, he catched quickly a view of the flags of the Guilds trading with Mpya Stedor: As it was getting late, he decided to make a quick chat with the Nocturnian and Avalonian traders and to go home. It was quite an interesting day... (Avalonian Trader inspecting some of the Kaliphlin Golden articles the Goldsmith has crafted) ... A few hours later: *Cook Niels* : "Dinnertime!!! It is chicken with apples!!" *Lord Damaximus* : "How could I guess it....." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BOW FOR ALMIGHTY KALIPHLIN!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ in other news: *some of the laws are edited => it is now forbidden to wear weapons inside the citywalls. Official Trader Guards may wear a dagger or a sword. Guards and Knights of Mpya Stedor and other Kaliphlin soldiers are allowed to wear their weapon. *I edited the post with my army *There has been a minor improvement to my palace, but I still have to wait for some important bricks (the tan and white slopes and the windows). *My embassy in Nocturnus will be a 48x48! I ordered the bricks, so I guess it will be finished in time :)
Some updates: (PD) - the market square is finished, one of the next days I'll put some pictures of it in this topic as it is not really a MOC because I used TLG-buildings for the buildings and most of the stands are also TLG made. I know most of you guys prefer edited buildings, but I am in a kind of "hold the sets together"-mood since I started to rebuild my Star Wars sets last year. I completed my Naboo Star Fighter (the first one of TLG) not so long ago and I can't describe the feeling I had after finding the last bricks And the Medieval Village buildings are so detailed, I am punishing my brains to find possible improvements - Mpya Stedor palace is like the pictures shown in previous post. I am still waiting for some bricks before I can make big improvements. - The Main-Gate was forseen to be completed around february, but thx to ZCerbius, I decided to make it more detailed and instead of being a side-project, it will be my main project for the month of March. Also there will be a castlepart in it. - The warriorsguild was planned to be a sideproject as well and is even almost finished, but same remark as previous, it will become a main project with a mountain and so on and so on and this is planned for April + May - Mpya Stedor will be 150x150 (studs), build on grey baseplates. There will be a small bay inside of 50x50 (with a 24x24) connection to the Ghuba-ya Biashara bay. 2 sides are mountains, 1 side the Ghuba-ya Biashara bay and 1 side the citywalls with main gate. In really big lines like the map I made a few weeks ago in the first post. - There is a possibility that the Embassy in Nocturnus will become 48x48 or 32x32 instead of the 24x24 I already have. It will become a bit more fortified, but still following the rules, so it will look like a camp. The reason for this are the previews I already saw of some other embassies and the fact that 24x24 is really small - Also tomorrow some laws will be changed, simply because when I built the market, I discovered that one rule made it a bit overcrowded. And I am not sure about this, but probably the pictures of all my soldiers will been removed as it is impossible to always take a new picture the moment I got a new minifig. In replacement there will become a count number and some more story behind the soldiers!
Well, I know this feeling... The gatehouse of Mpya Stedor was planned to be constructed somewhere next month with the current amout of bricks I got, but looking to this, I think I'll have to order some more grey bricks too, otherwise it will look silly compared with this I am not sure what you're plans are with this, but if it was mine, I would keep it intact so I can show it my grandchildren in somewhat 50 years Really impressing! I like the fact that most things can work (crane/trebuchet/gate/...)!!
50 sets??? 5000 castel minifigs???? daaamn, I am happy you are not part of Historica (as far as I know). As war is becoming more and more a certainty, I am happy I'll never have to face your army! :p Last count for me was around 100 man and I am planning of buying 20 Kendo Cole's (5$ each) and 20 Jay ZX (5$ each) to make 2 elite armies. but seriously, daaaaaaaaaaaaamn 5000 minifigs???
Looks promising!! In other news: Just bought Medieval Village. So together with Blacksmith Attack and London Escape, I got 4 official Legoset buildings for my marketsquare. May I use them in my city or are only edited sets / MOCS allowed? -
Mpya Stedor is open for embassies and trademissions :) I am not sure if I will develop an embassy in Avalonia or Mitgardia (I almost finished my Nocturnian one). Not because of political interests, but just due the fact that I already spended the part of my money for Lego for January and February buying bricks for my palace and the Medieval Village Set But maybe I'll try to do something with the bricks of this set as you can make a nice building with the available bricks. Certainly considering that tan is symbol for Kaliphlin while wood is symbol for Avalonia :D I'll let you know :) edit: considering the colourful buildings of Stoneroda, I am pretty sure I can make something with the old bricks I got :) So Kaliphlin embassy in Stoneroda: check
It must have been one of them I once saw during one of my many travels. While exploring one of the darkest places on the globe, we suddenly saw something in the distance, brighter than the sun (well, there was no sun to be honest...), pure of gold. We tried to approach it, but the more closer we came, the further it went without moving. Till this moment, when we were sitting around the campfire, remembering our adventures, this scene allways caused an awkward silence. I hope to finally see some of them again here in Kaliphlin. (note from the storyteller hundreds years after Lord Damaximus lived: it was the Myrmidon now known as Buddhamyr, a god nowadays for a bunch of people living far far away from here) (note from director who is telling the story of Lord Damaximus through pictures and lego: haha seriously??? how the Megablocks makes google show results for bricklink while searching for cracklink?? (despite of the fact it is only 2 letters different)) -
Kaliphlin building style help for a Mitgardian.
Maxim I replied to LEGOman273's topic in Guilds of Historica
=> You are planning on making a whole city?? but the max size of the base is 48x48 if I am not wrong :( And you can do for example Kaliphlin at the base and Mitgardian at the top by making the mitgardian part resting on arches already in the style of Mitgardia. Maybe it's not exactly clear what I mean Arches are typically Kaliphlin, while wood is typically Mitgardia. so if you make for example the ground floor out of tan bricks and the top part of wood, you can make the wooden top part overlap the size of the groundfloor and the walls of the top part resting on wooden arches with wooden cilinders stretching to the baseplate. -
I dunno... Friends would be only interesting for slaverygirls, but my haremplace of my palace is already overcrowded, such as the slaverymarket has already so many candidateslaves it are 1+1 free sales atm... so as long as the LOTR minifigs are not friends-alike, I'll let them in the toyshops :D btw, LOTR will us provide many many many new fleshies :p -
Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
Maxim I replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well, your profile fits exactly for a Kaliphlin trader. As somewhat oldest Guild (check the history of Kaliphlin in our thread (last posts)), we got the respect of the other 3 Guilds for our wisdom and tradeart. Our merchants are welcome in almost every place in every Guild. And as we have such a good relations with all 3 other Guilds, we will probably the last Guild who will be at war. So if you sign in for Kaliphlin, you will be a part of a Guild, famous for its traders and in times where the future becomes darker and darker, it is certainly a good thing being part of a Guild who will protect you -
Stunning!!!
-
There are some, I'll update Kaliphlin right away with the latest information I got of my fellow Guildmember NiceMarmot :) barqa - ??? Berigora - Gabe Messahmuk - NiceMarmot Mpya Stedor - Damaximus (me) Ras-el-Akhen - ??? Petraea - ??? Qarkyr - ??? Queens Cross - ??? Eastgate - SkaForHire (those with ??? are cities where I am not sure of who is in charge in here) You may choose :)
Kaliphlin Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Maxim I replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ain't no bad idea as well having our own paradise city ^^ so let's say there is a kind of magical spell on it so only Kaliphlins who are 150% loyal to Kaliphlin may enter (as we got mostskilled magicians in our guild, I am pretty sure such a thing would be possible). But even it was my own idea, I still want a lost mythical city which is unknown for all of us because Mother Desert made it vanish from the surface. And as we Kaliphlins don't want to upset Mother Desert, we don't look for it ourself (and because we know we never will find it). But brave (stupid) tourists from other Guilds, looking for adventure, still can explorer the desert in search for this city with the help of our "Tourist"shops. I think some of us are interested in that idea, so I hope I have the approval of Lord Dextrus Flagg for "exploiting" this kind of tourism in our cities. As we need a name for that mythical city and as it would be stupid to make another "Lost ...", I propose the name Kaligem (Kali => Kaliphlin | Gem => in old Dutch: "place", in nowadays English: "shiny stone") So the edited story: Kaligem is the mythical city where our grand-grand-grand-(and a few more grand's)-fathers once lived when Kaliphlin was nothing more than this city and the surrounding deserts. Every little child of our beloved Guild knows the myths and sagas of this city and knows that one day the city vanished in the desert and our grand-grand-grand-(and a few more grand's, but some less than previous one)-fathers had to flee away to start new cities. Still loyal to each other they decided to bundle their strength and founded the Guild of Kaliphlin. What you think my honourable friends of Kaliphlin? -
wow, half an hour I saw it and only now I was able again to talk :o completely stunning!!!
-
I can't wait till the sets are in the store when I see those nice LOTR-Mocs ! :)
Finally Avalonia is updated!!! I did the list with the help of the first post of the Avalonian topic, but I know (viewing some posts) there are some faults in it of cities that are on the Mystic Isles but are placed in the list of the Countryside... So someone from Avalonia that can give some information about this? Also I finally managed to make the columns more straight!! @Jakon, I've place u in the city of Gruven of your Avalonian friend Legonardo! @Kayne, I've put you on the embassies of the city of sir Morartius!
