The Mpya Stedor Archery Tournament ("The Chronicles of Lord Damaximus", Part II: "Rise of Mpya Stedor" - Chapter XIV written by Geshi Edeh Nihs) (note: the author wrote the book seen from the perspective of Damaximus) After I gave my letter to Tomvaximus, our headtrader between the mighty Guilds of Kaliphlin and Ximus, Tomvaximus set immediately sail to my far homeland. Giving him some local spiceries and drinks to give to King Mattiximus, we hoped to get an answer really soon. Even diplomatically seen, the war between the 4 Guilds of Historica isn't for tomorrow, we still got somehow the feeling there is a threat coming soon. We don't know what, but when my traders from allover Historica report their mission to me, they all got that feeling after hearing the bards singing. Especially the news there is a continent discovered only some thousand miles away from our coast, (I forgot the name, it has something with Classica in it...) is really note worthy. So like I said, we really hoped to get a fast answer. Days go by. And by. And by. And even more by... And then finally our watchtower spotted a ship in the distance with Black and Red sails. Calling up the most important people of Mpya Stedor, we went to the harbor. I almost sprung in the water of the joy when I saw Whisximus standing beside Tomvaximus. My brother sent the General of his Royal Army to here, so that only can mean he took it serious! Well, I am getting kind of Old, so I can't remember exactly how the conversation went, but it came down to the fact that Mattiximus sent around 25 Elite Archers! They needed some time to collect their stuff and prepare for the voyage, but they will arrive soon! So we started to celebrate this wonderful news, 3 days of festivals and drunk people and music! After my headache was over (those Mitgardians have really good ales ... ), I thought about a plan to test the army and show it to the rest of the world: An Archery Tournament in Mpya Stedor! Because something like that needs a lot of preparations, I took Easter as date, so 8 April. My artists started designing invitations and paintings to give to them so they could easily recognise my city when approaching it. Lord Damaximus => Link to Tournament: My link ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: -> I ordered the bricks for the next Mpya Stedor project: the city wall. -> I won't build the whole city, The only part I will build is the inner-city: In here you see: - Great Gatehouse - Wall and Walltower - Bridge and Tower - Embassy square with Gatehouse and Tower - University (in the Mtn) - Palace - Market and Noblemenhousing -> On the citymap, you see: - Inner City - Outer City Walls - Housing - Tribune (the red|darkblue coloured part) - Army-Quarter (the citypart on the Right) with docks, stables, shooting range, barracks, ...

@Jareth, after investigation, the bow is considered OK as it has no automatications, only sightseeing help Also we have taken notice of your advice, but he will probably start as number 14. Don't worry, we got plenty of targets @Everyone, it still is funny to see a Hobbit with a bow as big as he is But they are all welcome ofcourse! Also I wonder when the first dragon-archer will appear... And the participants list is updated as well :) Already 14 candidates! Everybody is welcome, so don't hesitate!

I am totally in for the Kaliphlin Library (read: Wiki)! I love Libraries (read: Wiki)! My historians will help with some stories and stuff like that, but as we come from another continent, we speak a dialect of your English, so you guys may have to corrigate the spelling sometimes (read: as I am from Belgium and English is something we learn at school as third language, I sometimes make mistakes )

Looks like history went a bit sarcastic on Kaliphlin :D When the druids put the Water Element stone somewhere in our lands, we were nice green place, with a lot of rain and WATER! but now we are a desert without the water but the Water Element is still hidden somewhere here...

Almost everybody first wanted to join Avalonia... Probably due the fact everybody has a lot of grey bricks... But also here, I am much more happier I joined Kaliphlin. Kaliphlins are way more gentle, smarter and finer than those barbaric Avalonians The problem Avalonia has now with inactive members is probably because the best builders (most of them were really active in the Pirates forum) started in Avalonia and their excellent MOC's somehow discouraged the other Avalonians. I mean, look at the work of ZCerbus, de Gothia, DC, MikeyB, Captain Beerbeard, and some others ... They set up a really high standard for Avalonia.

Robots, calculators, railways, steam engines, nuclear bombs, ... I know they had some stuff like that (calculators and steam engines), but trust me it really looked prehistoric , in Medieval times, they still used those things (think about alchemists), but neverthless we better don't use those things in Historica (Greek Steam Engine Wiki Link)

Really colourful, but nice! I like the buildings a lot! Some remarks... : - You are Nocturnian, so technically seen you can't build in Mitgardia (beside the Embassy). - Firstly I thought the Red-Blue colours indicated a Kaliphlinembassy in the port, but considering there is the same amount of Red-Blue as Green-Yellow in the port, you may explain this to me - In a place as cold as Mitgardia, the ground will never be tan

This is indeed one of my favorite ruins of Kaliphlin. I saw them one time on my trip to Queens Cross (I was a bit lost to be honest), and I was absolutely stunned by them! I am so glad you finally made some paintings of it, they will fit my palace-wall very nicely! --------- Great job on creating the ruin-effect! The only thing I am wondering is how they defended this building in the past. Maybe there were some fortifications who are gone now? I also love the size of the MOC! It's not to narrow or to big, just perfect

Another way to see how many members are still active are things like the Gladiator Games and the Archery Tournament (and the ones who will follow). Tomorrow, I'll do an official invitation in all Guild-topics for it.

As I see we are doing some Mythic scene's, we should probably make a story about it. Or we can make a topic about it where we can link posts to the story. (There is a history made by me and Ska I think somewhile ago)

I know there is a lot of space, but it's based on a campment picture posted by Hersbrucker where there is a lot of space between the tents Embassador Haarloos recently told me that the twins took a few days off to recover but they continued with their armwrestling now Still no winner...

I have to update that :p Nocturnus is still not completely done and there are a lot of new MOC's now, so I'll do it when I have a lot of time But that will be soon though. Also, I am thinking to restyle it a bit, but I am not sure yet how
